The gardens are beautiful and the outside porch is wonderful for relaxing. The owners are friendly and accommodating. The Hoya at the entrance is incredible.

the bed was a little hard for my husband but everything was basically wonderful.

Its a beautiful place in a quiet and safe area - easy to get everywhere. The place is comfortable and Xavier & Pilar make it extraoridinary! On top of it, the breakfast is super! A good start of our trip!

What we liked? Everything. Pilar and Xavier are very nice and helpful and they have created a small heaven. It's the perfect place to stay at before traveling to the rest of Costa Rica.

What we didn't like? We actually haven't noticed anything we didn't like.

The property was even more adorable in person than in photos. Great location close to food. The room was well stocked with everything you could imagine, even a garbage bag for laundry.

The only downside was that the mattress and pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable. really didn’t sleep well because of it.

Breakfast was amazing! And they look after you! Pilar and xavier are here to welcome you at the door and ask any requests for breakfast! This is what a bed and breakfast should be !

Maybe location is a bit out of sam jose but in all fairness its probably better ! As the areas is nice and lot of shops around

Pilar and Javier(the owners) were great. we sat out on the patio eating breakfast with them, overlooking their drop dead wonderful backyard. we saw hummingbirds, 7 different types of butterflies, mango trees 25 ft. tall, surrounded by flowering vines and shrubs. Very quiet. we chatted for more than two hours. My wife and I will go out of our way to go there again in the future if we are even remotely close to the area.

Lovely little niche in Escazu to the west-southwest of San Jose. Beautiful gardens, great coffee and a really amazing breakfast. The hosts are super friendly and helpful in every way.

If you are looking for a really relaxing night's sleep just know despite the curtains there is a fair bit of light which gets into the rooms very early. The property is super quiet after the birds finish chirping in the morning.

A charming property, designed and managed with a lot of love and sense of detail. A true hospitality feel and wonderful energy. Like a small oasis and a perfect place to start any trip exploring Costa Rica. The hosts were wonderful, with great sense of humour and would help with anything in their power to make your stay more pleasurable and hassle free. The ambiance that they have created emanates from everything.

Perfect place to start and end our trip. Xavier and Pilar are exceptional hosts, just like staying over with friends and family. They make you feel so welcome. The house is beautifully maintained and traditional. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Casa de las tias is the perfect place to stay when visiting San Jose. The place is very cosy and quiet, and the hosts Pilar and Xavier are always happy to give recommendations and help when needed.

It’s even more beautiful than on the pictures and Xavier is such a nice host. We felt so welcomed and tranquil and would absolutely recommend Case de las tias.

The beautiful house stands there like in a movie and a loveley friendly lady is opening the door as it is their home (it is indeed). Sitting at night with both owners on the veranda for a talk. Feeling like home from the first second. Highly recommend this stay for everybody who is looking for that. 5 Stars.

The property is very beautiful and cozy. Garden is beautiful and a wonderful place to chil or read a book. The host is very kind.

This is a beautiful B&B, a perfectly renovated old house with many exceptional details. The photos do not do justice of how beautiful the house and the rooms are. We particularly liked the balcony overlooking the nice garden and the homemade breakfast served on the patio. The room (the one with the balcony) was somewhat small but comfortable and everything we needed was available. And the spacious balcony with the hammock more than made up for any lack of space inside the room. The location is very good, quiet but close to a variety of restaurants and shops while going to downtown San Jose was also very easy. Cannot think of even one thing we did not enjoy in Casa de las Tias. Last but not least Pillar and Xavier are perfect and caring hosts. Strongly strongly recommend. For sure we will stay there when we return to Costa Rica.

Javier and Pilar are wonderful hosts and their property is cosy, well kept, and very clean. They speak fluent English and were very helpful with their travel advice. Breakfast was also top-notch. We couldn't recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back if we come to San Jose again.
