healthy and beautifully presented.
I only learned after the second breakfast that one could choose the menu. Instead the second day was much like the first where the centerpiece was a kind of baked biscuit-like item that was undercooked and heavy. But this wouldn't stop me from returning to this place. It was wonderful.

A detached cottage with a deck looking over to the church and a peek at the ocean. Great big king bed. Refrigerator for leftovers and microwave. Just lovely.

Location was beautiful and the hotel was very nice in an old fashioned way. Loved the room with a view of the ocean! There was a sofa and a table with chairs to have breakfast.
Only one small thing, I wish there was more of a choice with breakfast, it was very good but I would have preferred a healthier option.

Loved the Wilson Room with private ocean view balcony. Loved the wood burning stove, The breakfast was excellent. The staff was great.
Just 2 things that can be fixed. The door to the balcony was so hard to close that we gave up. The shower needs a gooseneck shower head. If you are 5’10” or taller the shower head is way too low.

The breakfast was exceptional and you could see the state park from some of the room or as soon as you stepped outside.
There was a leak of some sort of water in the hallway to the bathroom. We told them about that prior to leaving.

We absolutely loved the location of this bed and breakfast and how quaint it was! The charm of the building is unmatched, and we loved reading the history of it. The breakfast was piping hot each morning and delicious. It was exactly what I pictured for my romantic birthday weekend - out of a Hallmark movie. We actually loved that our room didn’t have a tv, in the shared common room on the second level we found books about the area to read, and plenty of fun older board games. It really added to the experience and was the perfect place to disconnect from our phones and focus on each other! I will also dearly miss the wood burning fireplace! So romantic!
ONLY thing I can think of is that the carpet could be updated. Thats literally it!

We had an amazing trip. The inn was close to all of the main attractions and restaurants. We got great recommendations for food, as well as where to explore the local area. The room was comfy, the bed was a little softer than I’d like, but my husband and I were comfortable the whole time. The shower is a good size, lots of toiletries provided, and breakfast was yummy. The inn staff were very thoughtful, sending us off on our trip with snacks and fresh fruit. It was such a pleasure!

Excellent location, wonderful room (Switzer), local manager very helpful and considerate. Home baked scones and cookies for afternoon tea was very welcoming. Room size large with big bed and more pillows than you cold ever want. In a converted 3 story house that had been wonderfully decorated and maintained. Great views over the rooftops and the coast. All restaurants and shops were within walking distance. Breakfast brought to your room works very well.
Breakfast isn't designed for international or even some US travellers!! The 3 thick slices of soft doughy bread, lightly toasted with layers of sliced banana topped with cinnamon in between, covered in syrup and all heated - was way over the top for us. Suggest a change to a choice of muffins and bagels with cream cheese and jam. This would more easily compliment the the other great items provided.

no choice offered over in-room breakfast, which comprised an omelette and a pastry. Not much good if you don’t eat eggs.
A gratuity of $8 (for the front of house staff) was taken from my account without authorisation! and before we had even arrived! card details from booking in April had been stored and re-used.

The room was beautiful with a wood burner, patio area and large comfortable bed. Linens and decor were good quality. Breakfast served to room. Hosts were friendly and helpful with suggestions for meals etc. The smell and taste of fresh baked cookies and good coffee.
Bathroom a little small but understandable in a traditional, and very lovely house.

Breakfast was the best part of the B&B. The owners brought the breakfast on a tray to your room and we ate upstairs on the deck that my brother had with his room. Our room on the first floor was very small. I can’t imagine where we would have eaten

The Hideaway is a nicely decorated large room with seating area and a private patio. Breakfast is being brought to the hideaway. Streaming TV was well appreciated.
We had selected the Headlands Inn because it looks like a very beautiful English-style Bed & Breakfast. Indeed, the building is as beautiful as advertised and all pictures are accurate.
However, the Hideaway room that we booked is not located in this beautiful building, but rather "a separate experience from the Inn" as we found out when we arrived. To be fair, we figured that this was noted (not very prominently) in the room description. Instead, the Hideaway is located inside a far less attractive building, judge by yourself based on the attached foto.
If you are after a B&B experience, make sure not to select the Hideaway.
When we came to the Inn to have some tea, cookies and Sherry (as advertised), we found the room to be empty - and left a bit disappointed.
I recommend the host to advertise the Hideaway as a separate object - not as part of the Inn, because it is not.
