Happy spot and would stay again

Tropical bush location. Has its own creek through peaceful acres. Quiet, yet only a few minutes to Kahului. Fresh tropical fruits and pastries for breakfast. Microwave only but crockery for other snacks.

Makes you feel like you’re one of the locals without breaking the bank.

We booked the Palms room for our honeymoon. Tamara and Bob were wonderful hosts, and Kathy does a superb job cleaning before guest arrival. Amenities such as beach towels, boogie boards, and bug spray were always available (things we did not think abt bringing). We were able to try different fresh fruit as Tamara stocked a mini fridge with fresh fruit, juice, and water as well as either banana bread or a pastry (at no additional cost). We also had access to a coffee maker which was used regularly. The property is beautiful and easy to find. It is in the perfect location for exploring Maui and there’s a beautiful view right off the lanai (porch) of the mountains and of sunrises/sunsets. They do have a dog, Kahu, who is incredibly friendly and not skittish or hyper. While we do love dogs anyways and enjoyed giving her pets, she is perfectly safe for families with children or those who are nervous around dogs. We didn’t hear her bark, she responds well to directions, and does not follow you around the property. Very well trained. Any issues we had were immediately addressed by Tamara or Bob and they make themselves readily available (even before 7 am—sorry, Bob!). Overall, we gratefully enjoyed our stay and have decided if we return to Maui we have every intention of staying there again.

Very pleasant and relaxing stay.

Views from the property and walk around the stay were exceptional. Tamara was very kind and made sure that we were comfortable during our entire stay.

Maui B&B

Very quiet location with peaceful surroundings. Central location for going to all the destinations we wanted to see. A coffee machine, microwave and toaster oven are in the room or on the lanai. Tamara was very welcoming.

The bed was too soft, making it a little bit uncomfortable. The continental breakfast was small, in hindsight we would have been better off with buying everything we needed at the supermarket.

Simply amazing!

This place is simply amazing! It’s in the Iao Valley, surronded by nature. Stratetic position to reach all the spots in the island. Great hospitality, fresh fruit every morning, everithing was perfect!

Private relaxing retreat

The private lanai where we could sit and listen to the birds.

It is hard to find the driveway entrance so you really need to pay attention to the guidance from the hosts.

Only weakness is that for longer stays there is no facility or arrangement to wash clothes - but thats being picky - very happy with the location and the host who was wonderful

Quite and secluded B&B. Great location just minutes from main downtown. Peaceful sounds of nature and a flowing river nearby made this place a great place to relax after doing tourist stuff all day.

I immensely enjoyed staying at Iao Valley Inn because of the friendly welcome and being immersed in sacred nature

it was a sacred and natural landscape with a running river and waterfall. the cottage was secluded and had all of the amenities you could need like kitchen, washer dryer, dish washer, spacious shower, air conditioning, wifi, TV, comfortable linens, many places to sit and enjoy the property. I also enjoyed the mango trees and devoured so many of them!

We enjoyed our 4 days there very much and would likely stay there again.

Breakfast was served to rooms individually and included fresh fruit, juice, coffee and a very goo pastry of some kind. Location is fabulous if you love quiet and nature and was close enough to town to be convenient. The host was friendly and helpful, and we loved their sweet dog, which was friendly but never a pest.

It’s hard to say something we didn’t like. Can’t think of anything, actually.

Absolutely beautiful mountain views from the lanai, delicious breakfast, and very comfortable and private accommodations. Tamara was very kind and provided everything we needed for a lovely stay including beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers. The location is also very central but feels very peaceful and secluded.

The room was exceptional! The scenery was surreal and relaxing. We love the daily breakfast provided by Tamura during our stays. She was very friendly and professional!

When exiting the property to take a left turn, there is quite a blind spot on the upcoming traffic so we got to pay close attention.

Peaceful, tranquil and comfortable.

1. This place is located at an idyllic location (far from resort-like chaotic atmosphere) that is pristine and tranquil. 2. The owner, Tamara (along with her sweet German Shepherd, Kahu), is very welcoming. 3. The farm at the inn is littered with tropical fruit-bearing trees and flowering plants unlike anything you'd see on the temperate mainland US.

We love Iao Valley Inn

Tamara was the best host. She is very welcoming and always one text away. She brings us breakfast every day. I love the pastries and fresh fruits especially the papaya. The location is really clean and nice. There’s a waterfall in the area. Our stay was very relaxing and away from most of the tourists. Oh and I love their dog Kahu. She’s so friendly. Definitely recommend this place. Thank you for having us. We will definitely book here again if we go back to Maui. Mahalo!

All Around Wonderful

The room is comfortable and inviting, and the views are excellent! We were surprised with a different bakery item and fruit each day, both of which were delicious!

I'm so glad we stayed here, it's gorgeous and comfortable away from all the hustle and bustle.

Iao Valley Inn is a beautiful property with lush greenery and mountain fog. We stayed in the house just next to the main property and loved it! The hosts provided a wonderful welcome that included fresh fruit, banana bread, juice and milk. Plus, the place comes equipped with all the beach tools you could want!

Be mindful that this is in the valley and not Lahaina (a 30-40 drive) so the town closes pretty early (most places by 8 or 9pm). Not a big deal if you're cooking in the kitchen or with the grill provided because there's a nearby grocery, but a little more challenging if you're coming back late/r from a full day.

Absolutely incredible

I cannot emphasize enough what a wonderful experience we had here. The service was impeccable, the grounds were beautiful, and it was affordable compared to other options on the island. I have nothing but good things to say and I am so glad I stumbled onto this gem!

When you go to Maui, you think beaches and resorts. This is not that experience. Instead it’s in a park and surrounded by green. For some, that might be a let down. But we loved it there.

If you want a private, quiet place with lovely retro old Hawaii style, book the Cottage as gazebo!

I really appreciated the honest assessment of the road to Hana. It was spot on. We love the dog! Beautiful lush property, loved hearing the river from our room. Cottage and Gazebo very private!

Beautiful Location

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast located cozily in the Iao Valley. It was clean and we had a warm welcome with excellent hospitality and delicious food. The accommodations were comfortable and complete. We will stay again!
