Very comfortable and good location.

All clean and comfortable. Both the owner and staff looked after us very well The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Ragu gave us lovely breakfasts, tea whenever we asked and booked a taxi for us. Nothing seemed too much trouble for him.

Ich fühlte mich hier sehr wohl und willkommen

In einer Seitenstrasse und damit recht ruhig gelegen, empfängt dich dieses schöne Haus mit britischem Charme, echter Gastfreundschaft und einer guten Tasse Tee. Das Familienzimmer ist grosszügig eingerichtet, das Bett bequem und die Sonne scheint durch drei Fenster. Wegen der kühlen Temperaturen in der Nacht hat es warme Decken. Der Boy des Hauses ist hilfsbereit, sehr freundlich und einfach immer da. Eine angenehme Erfahrung. Zum Ortszentrum ist es ein Spaziergang von etwa zehn Minuten. Es werden unkompliziert und preislich vernünftige Touren zu Horton Plains und anderen Zielen vermittelt. Sehr zu empfehlen!

This is the place to stay in Nuwara Eliya 💛

This place! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I had originally only booked two nights, but ended up staying for four. Ragoo is the most kind and attentive host. He took me on a beautiful hike through the tea plantations, for scooter rides to see amazing views and waterfalls and did his absolute best to make my stay as good as possible. Spacious rooms, clean, great shower, two balconies and a beautiful garden where I had my breakfast in the sun and read my book with a cup of tea (or ten). Ragoo and Chamila cooked amazing food, and catered to my allergies. Chamila even made me Lawariya (a rice noodle pancake filled with coconut caramel and cardamom). It was absolutely incredible! I’ve had the best days of my Sri Lanka trip at the Hill Town Cottage. Felt like being with family. Would definitely come back! And I can’t recommend this place enough 💛 Thanks for having me ☺️

Cosy Cottage with great service

I enjoyed my stay here! The room was clean, basic but all you need as out most of the day sight seeing. Super cute cottage with a very homely/cosy feel. Ragu was the main staff member I saw and he was so helpful with things to do and made a great breakfast! Also gave me some extra blankets as it gets super cold at night.

Einfach zum Wohlfühlen

Tolle Unterkunft, sehr zentral gelegen! Frühstück ausgezeichnet und mit viel Liebe zubereitet… Ragoul ist ein sehr engagierter und umsichtiger Gastgeber, der weiß, was Gäste in Nuwara Eliya gerne sehen oder erleben möchten! Die Sightseeingtour auf dem Hotelscooter zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten und zur Tea Factory war super 👍🏽 DANKE ☺️

Would recommend this place 100%

It was clean. A bit outdated but very nice and comfortable. Ragu took very good care of us and provided us with everything we needed or wanted. We did a long, beautiful hike with him through the tea plantages and little communities which we ended with some amazing local food. We got some great recommendations and they were all better than expected. We got amazing breakfast (Sri Lankan) and had a wonderful stay.

Very nice stay

Beautiful house. Very elegant. Ragu who works there took good care of me. The hot water is 🔥. The bed is comfortable.

It was a bit cold at night so I had to double the blanket. Also the WiFi never appeared as the name the manager gave me.

12/10 Points! Such a lovely place. The whole house has such a lovely atmosphere, a lot of wood everywhere, much space. Amazing breakfast, English or Sri Lankan - both delicious and huge! Ragu took such good care of us! And also the owner was very friendly and made special dishes because we hadn't tried them yet. Anytime again!

Lovely stay, away from the centre

Lovely room with balcony overlooking the outskirts of town. The young lad who looked after my breakfast was very helpful after I had a fall on a walk amongst the tea plantations. He arranged a tuk to take me to the station and even provided me with a box to safely carry a delicate little boat I had bought some days earlier.

Nice property with comfortable beds

Really beautiful guesthouse and comfortable bed! A little tricky to find (don't trust Google maps), but quiet area.

Hot water was really inconsistent, but I spoke with the manager and she said it has to do with the gas-powered hot water heater. It was just uncomfortable to be shivering all soaped-up waiting for several minutes for the water to get hot again. The guy who works there was very aggressively trying to be helpful. It was off-putting.

Very good

Large room with comfy bed. Lovely garden and good breakfast and dinner. Very well taken care of by Ragu, nothing is too much trouble. The guest-house is close to town, but located on a quiet street. Overall a great place to stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Great place above the city

Beautiful old house, big airy room and a great hot shower. The place is set high above the city and away from the pollution which can get quite bad. The staff rented me a scooter to get about.

Good location close to the town,Room was Good enough for a solo traveller. The staff boy was kind and helpful unfortunately the owner not present did want to communicate even after i mentioned that i Am a hotailer. Only spoke to me during check in and out.

Perfekt Place and very good Staff

This accommodation is highly recommended! We were very warmly welcomed by a young man (unfortunately we have forgotten the name), always spoiled and incredibly well cooked (necessarily book half board!) The accommodation is mega clean and scores with the English charm and the loving facilities. Only a few minutes walk to the city. 100 out of 10 points!

From the moment I entered the property I was made to feel very welcome. The cottage has a home away from home feel about it and the gardens are alive with colour. Breakfast was delicious, on my second morning I was served Sri Lankan fare, which was mouth-watering!

Everything is good for the price. Delicious breakfast (I loved the milk tea), very good staff who were always ready to help. Ragu is really friendly. They provided bicycles without rental so I could ride in the evening around the town and the Gregory lake. They arranged three wheeler for Horton Plains with reasonable rate. The blanket was really thick and they gave extra blanket as it was so cold during my stay period. You can listen little birds’ songs in the morning. Recommended for female solo travelers as well.
