Uncomfortable room in “Eden”

Beautiful & unique part of the forest.Great breakfast by Bruce.

It was an exceptional cold & wet night when we arrived.After viewing our room we commented on it being rather cold & I was told there is an oil heater & electric blanket in place.We did request another room but we’re told there isn’t a warmer one. Well it was one of the worst nights of our life being so cold and uncomfortable.We mentioned it to Bruce the next morning but was told that they will be installing wall panel heaters soon.This really spoiled an evening we looked forward to.

Everything fabulous experience from start to finish We opted for dinner on both nights of our stay great value for money food was delicious. All the staff are warm and welcoming! Beautiful surroundings.

Everything was incredible!

Everything was incredible! The room was cosy and warm for the winter chill, the massages were high quality, the platter and meals were such good quality, perfect quantities and served on time every time. The staff were friendly, helpful and so organised. The views and experiences were absolutely amazing!

Extremely impressed

The place was breath taking....you walk in it feels like you entering heaven on earth. My room was just perfect for a solo trip. Staff - Wonderful, Bruce, Harry and Mike were amazing..they took care of me like a Queen. By the way it was my birthday so I lived my dream literally. The Forest Spa was heaven ..therapeutic and magical. The spa treatments was world class. Loved the variety of the food. I can't fault this place. Let's talk about room 2 I was booked in and 1 next door mine n reception. You would hear everything to the cough, the conversation, the food smelling in the morning for breakfast then music from reception and staff talking. I didn't mind cos it felt home for me since I grew so font of the staff, someone who need a very quiet time since the place offers that might want any room other than 2 and 1. Being on solo trip and could hear the other room midmorning having sex shocked me that the two rooms dont have much privacy 🤔. 🌹 Rose

Romantic forest getaway

Awesome to be situated in a forest, lots of birdlife and the distant calls of the lions and elephants in the nearby sanctuaries added to the vibe. Very friendly hardworking staff.

Magical treehouse of dreams

We were unlucky with the weather but the staff (all of them were great but 'Wonderful' was definitely wonderful), food and ambience made up for it! Everybody was so friendly and helpful, breakfast and dinner were fabulous, and we would love to return when the sun is shining. However, irrespective of the weather we would strongly recommend to book a massage, absolutely amazing!

Staff was really friendly, especially "Wonderful". They made our Christmas stay very special. Spend my Christmas infront of the fireplace with a book and a sherry.

The Towels need to be replaced.

Tranquility.

The lodge was high up in the tree canopy and very private. The deck area overlooked the valley. Very peaceful and relaxing. We had a cheese and meat platter one evening out on the deck. Perfect.

Limited breakfast choices Rooms are quite cold Generator isn't used, so loadshedding isn't great No wifi signal in some rooms (and no cell signal at all)

A great stay for people who enjoy nature but want to also spoil themselves. Perfect anniversary :)

The breakfast was really good but the spa and sauna package was definitely the highlight of our stay. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Because there's not many rooms and guests, you get more of a personal approach from the staff. The forest scenery was amazing and having lunch by the pool deck was really nice.

The pillows weren't that comfortable. The bed was fine but the pillows gave us a bit of a stiff neck.

Beautiful setting and setup in the forest. Most beautiful rooms and layout of the deck and dining area.

The choices of wine not reflection of the upmarket accommodation. Please check the wine selection and spirits bar in general. Dinner was good but expected more from such a prime accommodation.

This place is a must!

Everything was perfect, this was the most special place we stayed at in South Africa. The location is magical, rooms are clean and big, food was great (breakfast and dinner) and beyond all the staff was kind and generous unlike any other place. This is a must for couples.
