It was a very pleasant stay! A big thanks to Claudia and her family!

Trumpeter Inn is a lovely place to spent when visiting San Juan Island. It’s a great location, super quite and idyllic but still very close to Friday Harbor. The entire place is filled love and care, you can feel that Claudia and her family are very passionate about what they are doing. Everyday there is great breakfast, almost all of it being self-made, everyday there are fresh baked cookies and food to feed the lovely goats and Alpakas. After 5 nights at Trumpeter Inn we very sad to leave. We would come back any time!

For our preferences, the bed was a little to soft.

Would absolutely recommend the Trumpeteer

Hosts were very welcoming and friendly! Home/room was decorated beautifully and very light-filled. Beautiful grounds and fun animals to watch (mini goats and alpacas) breakfast was fantastic!

I would 100% recommend Trumpeter as a place to stay, especially as somewhere peaceful!

Trumpeter is a small family run bed and breakfast! When I reached out about food allergies in the party, they were very receptive and made sure that there would be safe foods for everyone in our party. The breakfasts were delicious, the room where the three of us stayed was spacious and comfortable, and it was an excellent place to explore San Juan Island from (with a car or probably with bikes). The grounds were beautiful, and it was really fun to be able to see the goats and alpacas.

Probably the only downside of Trumpeter is that it's a bit far from the main stretch of Friday Harbor (or other attractions). Even that comes with a plus though: it's beautifully quiet! Overall, as long as you're coming with a driver or bikes, I'd say that the distance from the ferry and other modes of transport around the island is more than worth it!

A total gem of a place to stay on San Juan island

We absolutely loved our stay at Trumpeter Inn. It's in a beautiful spot just outside Friday Harbour (we walked back after dinner 35 mins). Everything is impeccably clean and comfortable and the breakfast was the best we've had on our tour up the North-West coast. Claudia and her husband were welcoming and knowledgeable and we loved having some inside areas to chilll out as a family as well as visiting the alpacas and goats. A total gem - we suspect Trumpeter Inn is the best kept (or newest) secret on San Juan Island.

This stay easily broke the scale for overall best stay location that I've been too.

Everything about this place was outstanding! From the location, to the room, to the breakfast (made daily by the wonderful host), even the alpacas and goats on the land. Everything was beyond expectations. We really loved our stay and the host made it even more great than the trip already was.

comfortable setting! gourmet breakfast every morning with a wonderful host that pampered us. loved talking with the other guests. made the trip 👍❤️

we had a wonderful time with many things to do both on the property and in the area. our hosts were lovely and inclusive and very informative. we loved the afternoon snacks in addition to the fabulous breakfasts.

Claudia was delightful. Food was delicious! Loved being out in the country, meeting alpacas and goats. Located in a beautiful and restful spot. Wonderful stay all around.

I really have no complaints about my stay at the Inn. It was delightful.

Very good

The delicious breakfast, the resident goats and alpacas, and the proximity to Friday Harbor. The owners were also very friendly and welcoming.

The wifi wasn't great. Since we didn't have cell phone reception it was hard to video chat w the kids.

San Juan Island, Friday Harbor, and The Trumpeter is the trifecta for tranquility and refreshment!

Claudia was fantastic host. Breakfast was excellent, and she adjusted to my diabetic, low carb needs. Our stay was tops in all our travels. If you are looking for a tranquil setting and superb service, look no further. We have already booked our next stay!

Beautiful experience, awesome hosts!

The owners Tyrone&Claudia were amazing! Loved petting and feeding the Alpacas and especially Oreo the goat! Room was nice and quiet, beds extremely comfortable, the grounds are so soothing and gorgeous. So relaxing and bucolic and yet close to town. The home cooked breakfasts and the baked sweets were the best.

We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to visit again!

The owners were amazing and really friendly! The breakfast each morning was exceptionally delicious and the alpacas and goat were a lot of fun to meet! Location was great and very clean and quiet.

Great but disappointed!

The farm like environment.We had a chance to pet the farm animals. It was very clean and quiet place. The atmosphere was relaxing and refreshing! The hosts was very kind, friendly and accommodating. Great service and superb food:-)

When we made the reservations at booking.com we were not inform that there is an additional room tax. The host informed us during our check out that there is a room tax in addition to the tax that was calculated during the time of our reservation. We were caught by surprised about the hidden agenda that was not communicated to us between the booking.com. and the Trumpeter's Inn. It was very disappointing :-(

It was one of the best overnights I've ever had. I'm sorry we couldn't have stayed longer.

The Inn was a wonderful place. The owners couldn't have been nicer. The house and grounds were beautiful. Our room was great. The breakfast was out of this world. Apple and pear pancakes, sausage, wonderful fresh fruit smoothies too. Coffee was read at 6:30 for early risers too. Home made cookies, tea, coffee, etc throughout the day. After breakfast we helped feed the livestock on the property. Really fun. Can't wait to go back next year.

A very nice rural B&B with Alpacas, fruit trees and spacious fields.

The property is located 15 minutes from Friday Harbor. WARNING: You must have a car to stay at this property. The guest house is 15 minutes outside of Friday Harbor. The property is beautiful and is located in a farm/ranch area of San Juan Island. Our room was large with a nice bathroom and deck with chairs and a very nice view. Not all rooms are the same size and features. The room rate was about 20% higher than it should have been probably because of supply/demand. The hosts were very nice and the apple pancakes with smoked sausage breakfast was good.
