Located in Big Bear, this attractive cabin for $638 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Our cabin is located in Castle Glen Estates -- Big Bear’s exclusive luxury community that sits on a hilltop overlooking Big Bear Lake and the ski resorts. Just a 5 minute drive down the hill leads you to everything -- the lake, ski slopes, restaurants and shopping. Our family friendly, beautifully furnished custom log cabin home (2,500 square foot) on a 13,000 sq. foot lot is on a hillside location with multiple decks for enjoying the fantastic mountain views. The backyard is completely fenced in and you can hike and explore right outside the back gate in the Eagle Preserve National Forest. During the winter there are many sledding areas. This four-bedroom, three bathroom log cabin home is complemented by T&G vaulted ceilings and wood finish throughout. Custom lighting treatments throughout include ceiling fans and extensive use of wood and log accents in the interior. All of the furniture is custom made with many of the pieces hand carved to add to the feel of a luxury cabin. On the main living area, an open Great Room floor plan with a casual flow from living to dining room to kitchen and outdoor decks is ideal for entertaining and family activities. Cozy up to a wonderful fireplace or be entertained with a 65 inch HD Smart TV. The dining area seats 6 and there is a u-shaped bar surrounding the kitchen that seats 6. A gourmet kitchen features custom knotty pine cabinetry with crown molding, granite counter tops and all Kitchen aid appliances. Everything you need to cook, bake and entertain is available for your use including all dishes and glassware, utensils, pots and pans, mixing bowls, baking items, serving platters and small kitchen appliances such as a blender, coffee maker and toaster.. The deck just outside the kitchen has a Viking gas grill along with an outdoor dining area with a forest and mountain view. In addition, the deck includes a 6-person Jacuzzi with 36 jets and easy to access in all seasons. Just off the great room is an office. It has a love seat that opens to a twin-sized bed (recommended for small child only) as well as a built-in dresser and closet. There is large desk with a computer for your use with internet access. There are two bedrooms on the main level including the master bedroom with a king size bed, fireplace, walk-in closet, dresser and opens to the main level deck with the Jacuzzi. The master bedroom has a private bath that includes a relaxing over sized tub and glass enclosed shower. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, dresser and large closet. Off the hallway is the game closet stocked with board games and puzzles. Upstairs offers two additional bedrooms. The secondary master has a king size bed, dresser, large closet and opens to an expansive deck with mountain and forest views. The other bedroom is our bunk room that offers one set of twin bunk beds and 2 twin beds (formerly bunk beds), 2 large dressers as well as a flat screen TV with cable. Guests have full access to a full-size washer and dryer. Free wireless internet access provided. The home comes with fresh towels and beds are made up with fresh linens. There is parking for 3 cars (one in garage and 2 in driveway). Our cabin is just a few minutes from all the major attractions you came to Big Bear to enjoy. You can relax and browse through our book of ideas for many of the activities nearby including Ski Resorts, Sledding, Boating, Fishing and Kayaking on the lake, hiking right from our backyard, discovery center, biking, zoo, golf, shopping, restaurants as well as a performing arts center. During the winter we may have sleds you can borrow and plenty of room to play in the snow. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY IS 10. The house is suitable for a maximum of 6 adults and 4 children or 8 adults and 2 children. NO SMOKING on or near property. A dog on property must be pre-approved by owner and a $50 pet fee applies. SUMMER GUESTS: Please note we do NOT have air conditioning at the house. Every room has a ceiling fan.

This was our 3rd Christmas in Big Bear and had no interest in returning to the previous properties, but this cabin in The Exclusive Castle Glen Estates felt like home. There was more then enough space for our group of 10. We were able to eat at the table together, lounge in the living room together, and the kitchen had a lot of space to prepare meals. These simple things can prove difficult with a group our size. There were so many games in the office that we really didn't need to bring our own. Unloading and loading up were a breeze given that we had access to the garage and could just back into it to get the job done quickly. The electric fireplace made it cozy and no need for the wood we brought. The spa was wonderful after a day on the sloops. All the neighbors were very friendly during our walks. The fenced back yard was wonderful so that our pup could do her business off leash with us there with her. Always supervise your pups even in a fenced backyard, coyotes can jump up to 8ft. Big Bear Mountain was only a 10 minute drive and any other store we needed was less than that. We will definitely be returning!!

We had a great week in Big Bear at this large and well furnished home. We only had 2 minor issues which were quickly addressed by the owner who was very accessible. The kids enjoyed the jacuzzi and we all enjoyed the living room for the TV, karaoke, charades, and a 1,000 piece puzzle.

We enjoyed our stay at this house very much - one of the best VRBO experiences to date! The house was clean, warm, stocked with games, cooking gear, plenty of towels and blankets. It's very conveniently located and a great place to come back to after a day of snow activities. The view is gorgeous, the beds are comfy, and there's plenty of space for family and friends. LJ was such a gracious host. Very responsive, hospitable and understanding. His home was exceptional! Great location, good space, clean, had everything we needed for it to feel like a home. The home and neighborhood are lovely. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed for a snowy weekend getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked and easy to cook all meals. We went up for our kids first weekend in the snow. The house is beautiful and well kept. The rooms are a great size, especially the kids bedroom. We enjoyed the backyard and the open space behind the backyard- it was great for sledding! The jacuzzi was a lot of fun, too. I liked that it was in a nice neighborhood, too. Lord of beautiful homes. The property is nicely kept and cozy. The only negatives would be the spider webs throughout and many broken lights needing replacement. The house and sheets/towels smelled so strongly of fragrance and it was definitely overwhelming and unpleasant. Hopefully they can use better products to clean between stays. Otherwise, would recommend.

We have been coming up to BB for the past 6 years. This is by far the best place for us! My daughter and her children were in the upstairs bedrooms and we were downstairs in the master. There is also another bedroom on the main floor. The kitchen was fully stocked, so you really need nothing. The fireplace is gas, which was a big plus for us. The kids had fun sledding down the hill in the backyard and we all had a great time in the jacuzzi! Glenwood estates is a wonderful neighborhood. Close to Snow Play, which our grandkids loved. Check in was easy. I really can't say enough good things about this home. Looking forward to coming back next year!

Cabin is in a lovely neighborhood close to markets. Decor was beautiful. The backyard opened to national forest which the 3 pre-teens enjoyed exploring. This was a very comfortable and classic mountain cabin with plenty of room for 6 adults and 5 children. Host was very responsive to any questions and offered early check-in due to no prior guest. Would definitely consider this property in the future.

This property was so great and the pictures don't do its justice. It has a great layout with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom on the first floor and 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom on the 2nd floor. it has a great open backyard and our kiddos had a great time playing in the snow. Big Bear Snow Play is only about 5 minutes away and was a great way to take advantage of the snow day. property was beautifully decorated and we really appreciated how kid friendly it was (we had a 2, 4, 4, and 5 year old with us). Thanks LJ! Will definitely stay again!

Our family of 4 stayed with another family of 4 (kids ages 8-11). The overall property was well kept and spacious. We did not utilize the outdoor area much because it was a short weekend stay. Kitchen was equip with anything you would need to cook a meal, make coffee, etc. Living and dining area comfortably accommodated our group. The layout of bedrooms was perfect. Kids slept upstairs split between 2 bedrooms and adults slept in the 2 downstairs bedrooms. Lots of new construction happening in this quiet neighborhood, but it did not impact our enjoyment of the property! We would happily stay again.

Beautiful home and very spacious. We loved the outdoor decks. Just a few little things; no hand towels or wash cloths in the bathrooms. There were several bent window & door screens, so it was hard to keep bugs out at night. The screen door on the upstairs master bedroom slider is installed backawards, which made it very hard to open/close. Big spiderwebs inside on the knickknacks, especially in the kitchen window.

The home was better than expected, the photos do not do it justice. Extremely well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The fenced yard was appreciated for our precious pooch. The decks provided lots of space for outdoor lounging. Fire places in the living and master suite were much appreciated. Our host was incredibly responsive. I would highly recommend this home for a Big Bear getaway.

The home was so lovely and very homey. It was perfect for our family. Very close to all the ski resorts and town. It had a fenced in backyard which was perfect for our dog. This is the only home we want to stay in again.

The only downsides, besides having to leave, was that we were unable to find the iron. (We did find the ironing board, however), and the fragrance on the bedding was bit heavy, but otherwise, Everything was exceptionally noteworthy!!!

We appreciated the snow sleds and Legos for the kids and baby gates to secure the staircase. Lots of games for the adults too! Very well equiped kitchen. Easy access to shopping. Roomy and comfortable for our group of eight. Hats off to the property owner whose timely response to a maintenance issue helped to make our trip a very enjoyable one!
