A BEARY TALE is an incredible one bedroom, one bath fairy tale like cabin, with additional loft sleeping, ideally located in the Smoky mountains, between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and only 2.5 miles off of the main road (Hwy 441 - The Parkway). Our elevation is at 1,742 ft. Just minutes away, you will find many attractions in Pigeon Forge such as Dollywood, Dixie Stampede, Splash Country, The Island and The Mill. In the other direction, you will find Gatlinburg's Anakeesta, The Sky Bridge, Old Smoky and Sugarlands Moonshine, Ripley's Aquarium, Jason Aldeens and Old Red's, as well as many outstanding restaurants and events. Don't forget Ober Gatlinburg for winter skiing, ice skating and snow tubing. Have fun hiking in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Enjoy browsing the quaint shops along the strip in downtown Gatlinburg and visiting the Arts and Crafts Community. Located on a large wooded lot with level parking. We absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay! The cabin was perfect and fit our every need. Our daughter loved all of the bears, and the Christmas decor was such a special touch. She’s already asking if we can come back to A Beary Tale again!

The cabin was just as pictured based on the listing, and its many 5-star reviews did not lead us astray. It was indeed a 5-star stay. The cabin was clean, cozy, and perfectly situated away from the hustle and bustle of the strip, but so very close to the action if we wanted it. We were seeking out a quiet stay in nature, and that's what we got! My two young boys adored the cabin and all of its decor, and they had a blast in the hot tub. Bonus- it was decorated for Christmas, which was a lovely surprise I didn't expect! The owners provided all of the necessary information we needed in order to locate the cabin and access it. I am glad we arrived during daylight, as others have mentioned, just to get our bearings- but we certainly would have been just fine arriving after daylight as well. This was our first trip to the mountains (and our first VRBO stay in general) and certainly will not be our last. Thank you for contributing to a wonderful mini vacation for our family!

We truly enjoyed the cabin and the Christmas decorations were a very special touch. The cabin is very well stocked with everything you will need and even included 2 hair dryers. The only thing I would recommend is that there needs to be more washclothes provided - 5 is not enough and I really did not want to wash run a load of clothes for 5 washclothes. We made it though the weekend and we are thankful for the extra hand towels. The only other issue was the very steep driveway to the cabin. We had to use 4 wheel drive to turn our vehicle around so we did not have to back down the driveway. If you book this cabin, my suggestion is to always turn your vehicle around once you arrive so you are pointed forward. It had enough pans and pots to cook breakfast and supper. The view was so pretty and the fireplace was nice to turn on first thing in the morning. There are two coffee makers - one for K-cups and one with a carafe for drip coffee. There is salt and pepper and some other seasonings above the stove. There are some condiments in the refrigerator. There is a nice loft upstairs and the decorations are so pretty. We truly enjoyed our stay and we thank you for allowing us to book your property for our weekend getaway.

We had or grandson with us, which was unexpected. He is 3 and He absolutely loved the “bear house” in his words. He was so relaxed and comfortable, it made our stay even more relaxing and so so special!!!
We loved the house! We loved the setting! We loved the nice, coziness of the cabin!! We have no complaints at all, only praise! Seeing the momma bear and 2 cubs were icing on the cake!!

Stayed at this property during the 2023 Jeep Invasion and had an excellent stay. From start of booking, through to checkout. Would highly recommend this to anyone. Would definitely stay again. Clean, well maintained, if you don't like kritters of nature, then this isn't for you. Seen Mama Bear and cubs our first night, what an exciting treat that was. Playing up in the trees, and possibly snacking on leaves. Again, great stay and thank you for having us.

My daughter and I came here for a mother/daughter weekend prior to her going off to college and this was the cutest cabin ever. The fairytale theme furnishings are adorable and it is really very comfortable. It was very clean. The hot tub was relaxing. The location is perfect... seems to be perched perfectly between Pigeon Forge and Gaitlinburg, so you can go either direction and be in either town within a few minutes.
Even though it says it is one bedroom, there are 2 beds upstairs in the loft. This place could sleep 6 people easy and comfortably without using the couch.
Our host was very friendly and communicative. We would definitely recommend!

I cannot say enough about this cabin. Absolutely spotless, decor was delightful, tried to count bears inside cabin, but kept losing track. All amenities were top notch. Appliances were all modern. Kitchen fully stocked. Pac man machine and air hockey table for kids and adults. Hot tub on patio well maintained. Host even gave bear sighting alerts! I can't wait to return!

What a great cabin!! From the time you walk in the door you can tell the owners put a ton of love in this cabin. Everything was like new and extremely clean. The decor was great! All amenities were nice and the hot tub was great! The beds were excellent too. Wouldn’t hesitate to book on our next trip! Definitely 5 stars!!

The cabin is so cute! It is at the top of the dead end road so it is somewhat secluded and so quiet! The kids loved the air hockey table and packman game. Husband loved the hot tub!

The cabin was very cute and quaint. However, the water was yellow, the water pressure was terrible, the lighting on the front and back porches was dismal, creepy guys rolling up at 11pm saying they were “lost”, hot tub was cold(didnt even get warm turning the heat up), couldnt walk outside to get in the car without a bear or two right on your trail. Front door automatically locks after 5 seconds of opening(understand about the convience of the lock, however with bears so close, if something were to happen and you couldnt get in, could be a definate safety issue). We loved the comfort of the big king bed, very cutely decorated. Also enjoyed the juccuzi bath.

Great cabin. Beautiful location. The owner gave great directions and great communications. Hot tub was great. The road/driveway is steep and a bit scary at first but it’s not bad after the first time up it. Highly recommend this cabin.

My husband and I enjoyed a long overdue break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This cabin was just the place to do that! The hot tub was wonderful and the bed so comfy. The kitchen amenities was a little less (very small) than we expected but that was okay. The location of the cabin was very nice as we were 1/2 way between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We truly enjoyed our stay and this is a great cabin for a couple or small family.

Everything about this cabin was amazing. It is exactly as listed. The cabin is so cozy, cute and very clean. The amenities included made for a stress free vacation. We loved the drive to the cabin, it’s beautiful! After exploring all day, it was so nice to come back and relax in the hot tub. It is in the perfect location and close to everything gatlinburg, pigeon forge and the mountains have to offer. The loft was perfect for our 3 kids. They are already asking for us to return next year!

We had a great time staying at the Beary Tale. The beds are comfy. It's not far from town.
We played air hockey every day. There are 174 bears inside and out. We counted them all, even the ones on the tablecloths, towels, the ones on the trash bins outside, the one hiding in the tiny outhouse upstairs and the paddington bears in the book he is reading.

The property wasn't very clean. Had brown liquid on the bench that I had to clean before I could use. There was dust covering figurines and decorations. The fireplace wouldn't work because the owner said they shut it off for the season but that wasn't in the listing or disclosed at all, was very disappointing not getting to use the fireplace when it was freezing outside and my small child and elder mother in law were very cold and uncomfortable. Beds weren't very comfy and the hot tub stopped heating for awhile while trying to use it. Would not stay again

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! It is just like the pictures and so cute and comfortable and clean. Our teenage daughters, age 13 and 15, absolutely loved it, especially all the Christmas decorations and really every decoration and detail. We also had fun playing air hockey.
My husband and I enjoyed the faux fireplace/heater in the master bedroom. The outside hot tub was a great way to relax in the evenings and we enjoyed eating breakfast on the back deck with its quiet forest view. It was perfect for our family of 4. The only stressing point was trying to get our vehicle up the steep driveway to the cabin. The day we checked in, it had rained and the road was slick so we had some difficulty. 4WD would have been nice if we had it, but my husband got the hang of it by putting our Ford Explorer in a lower gear. We would definitely stay again!

We had a weather delay for our trip but the host worked with us & refunded the day we missed. Host was very kind & even left a little gift for my kiddos for Christmas ❤️

The master bedroom bed was extremely comfortable. The decor was so cute and the location of the cabin for the fall foliage was perfect. The back deck with the hot tub was amazing after long hikes. We really enjoyed the cabin.

The cabin was very nice but the extremely narrow roads with hairpin curves, no guardrails and sudden drop-offs was scary for this retired couple.

Cabin was as advertised. Very clean, nice cabin decor and it was an easy drive coming from the parkway. We didn’t get to utilize all the amenities as we only used the cabin for sleeping and a pot of morning coffee but appears to have everything you would need if you were to cook at the cabin including outside grill. King bed was comfy and any questions I had were responded to by owner very quickly!

What a beautiful cabin tucked away in the Smoky mountains. Our family had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean and very inviting. We enjoyed looking at all the decorations and spending time on the deck in the hottub. We even got to see a mamma and her 2 cubs come through. It was an awesome stay and we are already talking about coming back. Thank you for such a Great place to make memories.

Our experience at this cabin was great! If you follow the owners directions that she provides you, you will have no problems getting there. The cabin was just as described and we enjoyed the hot tub, jacuzzi bath tub in the bedroom, and the back deck! The main bedroom has a very comfortable bed. During our stay, we saw a momma bear with her two cubs in the front of the cabin and we also saw another momma bear with one cub off the back deck. It was definitely a great experience for us and we would come back and rent this cabin again!
