As residents of Manhattan, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cabin near Jay, New York. We had a beautiful view of the Ausable River and mountains beyond from the deck. The cabin is well equipped for those who like to cook, and decorated in an inviting array of moose-bear-and-fish motifs. Everything is cheerful and spotlessly clean. Chec- in was easy. We loved the quiet break from city life, the wind in the aspen leaves, the hikes along country trails.

This cabin had everything and more. Location was amazing, view was georgous, loved being so far off of the main road too. We will definitely be back to rent this cabin asap

The perfect little cabin with a view of Ausable River. We wanted for nothing and had easy access to all kinds of outdoor activities - hikes, lazy mountain climbing (aka the drive up Whiteface), canoeing, walks and dinner in Lake Placid. It was the perfect getaway.

This property was perfect for our week long stay in the area. The cabin was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities, and more, that one desires to be comfortable and feel at home. What a breathtaking view of the mountains and river below. We enjoyed morning coffee on the little bench on the property, just taking it all in. A highlight was awakening the first morning to see a deer run across the property, with the mountains as its backdrop….true Adirondack perfection! Best of all, we could have our little dog stay with us, in a place that was clean and beautiful. Thank you, Mary & Greg

We had a great stay. The view and access to the river were amazing and the place was perfect. Close enough to many great outings but a real feel of seclusion.

Very peaceful location to get those zzzs when you’ve hiked all day. Ausable was running fast but we could still take nice dips at the edge. Beautiful views from balcony and gorgeous bench in the corner of property.

We've returned here year after year. The views of the mountains and Au Sable River are outstanding, the location is ideal for activities as well as peaceful quiet when you return home, and having the sound of the river lull you to sleep is second to none. Mary and Greg have thought of everything to make your stay welcoming and comfortable and are very responsive hosts. We're also grateful to be able to bring our dog with us to such a beautiful and clean place. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

This cabin was perfect for a quick getaway to the Adirondacks. We loved the view from the balcony and the path down to the river. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, and a short drive to some great hikes and Lake Placid. Our puppy enjoyed exploring down by the river and sitting next to the fire under the stars. Would highly recommend.

Unfortunately. due to a medical emergency the cleaning staff was unable to clean the home before we got there. Greg was quick to communicate and graciously refunded us the entire trip because they were unable to get it cleaned. We didn’t actually stay any nights at the property, but would consider booking it again to give it a second try. All things considered, the cabin looked very nice and the property itself is beautiful. Greg is a great host and for that reason I would recommend.

The property was very clean and well stocked with supplies. A very quiet area, we only saw 1 car go by the house in 4 days. We would definitely stay there again.

We loved the cabin. It was absolutely beautiful and immaculate. The little touches made it feel just like home. The view from the backyard was peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the evenings on the balcony. Our senior German Shepherd did have a little trouble with the stairs after a day of hiking, but other than that, I would highly recommend this cabin. The hosts were very responsive to all my questions. The pictures don't do it justice!! 5+ stars.

In addition to being very clean, the property was very peaceful as well. The view of the river and mountains in the background was fantastic, and it was wonderful to be able to bring the pups along for the trip. Despite its secluded location, the cabin is close to the hustle and bustle of town, but still very cozy and comfortable. As we returned from a long day of outdoor activity, we were warm and comfortable. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place and the chance to get away from the city. The cabin was the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. We were able to take in the beauty of the surrounding landscape and unwind. I was very impressed with the owners' kindness and accommodating nature. In my opinion, this is a wonderful place for those seeking a peaceful getaway and I highly recommend it to everyone. Overall, it was a great experience.

Amazing place to stay to go skiing at whiteface mountain. Everything was perfect and accurate about the property!

We wanted to take a quick winter getaway, and this place is perfect for such a trip! Clean, cozy, comfortable cabin. The view from the breakfast table is stunning! The cabin is secluded enough for privacy and quiet, but close enough to the bustle of town. The heater looks small, but don't be fooled-- it works very well! We were warm and comfortable after long days outdoors. Our dog felt quite at home, too. She had no trouble napping and exploring the property outside. : ) We snowshoed each morning by Whiteface and at Scott's Cobble. We spent the afternoons walking through town and enjoying the great little shops. We couldn't pass up the "Wanna Waffle" window-- a delicious, warm treat on a cold day. We appreciated how friendly the hosts are, too. A big winter storm was coming into the area, and thy reached out to us via text right away to let us know that the driveway would be plowed by morning so that we could leave safely. We hope to come back again next winter. This is a wonderful place. We had an amazing time.

My daughter and I had a great weekend away. What a cozy cabin to stay in. It was perfect for us and a short drive to all the things we wanted to see. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved staying at the cabin and the garage was great to put our vehicle in during the inclement weather. We enjoyed walks on the quiet roads and trails in the area.

The property and hosts were excellent - with a seamless booking and check in. My husband and I took a little weekend away to go skiing at Whiteface Mountain and enjoy the town of Lake Placid. Everything was within 30 minutes of the house and the house itself was clean, cozy and a perfect fit for a couple trip.

Perfect for a quick getaway. Great way to decompress for a weekend.
