I’m always a little skeptical of reviews- they seem too often to reflect the “polar extremes” of personal opinion. Either the reviewer had a horrible experience or an out-of-this-world experience. My life is average enough that I don’t live too often in those extremes. So… take this with a grain of salt! The property we stayed in left- very literally- nothing to be desired. It was well maintained and cozy and just *feels* good! We didn’t anticipate it to be as “removed” from the downtown experience as it was (a huge plus for us). It felt like when we retreated to this home we were truly able to get away from everything and just relax. I actually successfully “unplugged” for the first time in years! The owners were extremely responsive via text (a comment that surfaced on other reviews), which was a pleasant bonus. The neighboring properties aren’t so close that we felt boxed in or claustrophobic. We had some extended family over for an evening barbecue, and the home was great for hosting- horseshoes and corn hole in the backyard, a grill, comfortable seating inside, chairs around a fun fire pit outside… The game room upstairs offered additional activities for the cousins (pool, ping pong); and even the bench outside was perfect for cousins to sit and pluck tunes on a guitar and just RELAX! We really appreciated the layout of the home. Maybe an odd thing to focus on, but each of our four children were able to have a comfortable space to sleep in and enjoy some relative “privacy” when they needed to cool down or get away. Our personal favorite? Eating breakfast in the morning with three deer a stone’s throw away (no, we didn’t measure by throwing stones) enjoying *their* breakfast in the backyard! I have no personal attachment to the property or owners, but next time we need a place in McCall, this is going to be our first call. We absolutely LOVED it!

Comfy beds and fully stocked kitchen! Enjoyed the fire pit and played pool/ping pong everyday. Plenty of room to park our boat and boat ramp wasn’t too far away. Beautiful neighborhood, immaculately clean. Would definitely stay again!

This house is so welcoming and cozy. It is in a wonderful location set back amongst the trees and very quiet. We loved it. The house has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. We are very thankful we found this gem of a rental!

Kitchen had plenty of plates, bowls and silverware but short on “glass” glassware and the pots & pans could use an upgrade with the addition of a rice cooker and a steamer for veggies. Diane was very responsive to my questions-thanks!

This house was perfect for our family vacation. We loved the pool table, the beautiful backyard and the well organized kitchen.

Our group loved our stay in this spacious cabin. It was clean, had nice amenities and in was in a good location close to town. Still secluded enough from other homes to have some privacy.

Spent another white Thanksgiving in McCall at this beautiful mountain getaway. This is our 4th stay at this property and it has always lived up to our high expectations. Really enjoyed relaxing by the fire and seeing all the wildlife right outside the back windows. Too many dear and fox to count. Thanks again Diane!

This is more than a cabin! Beautiful and well-maintained home. Love the decor - so fitting for the location and very comfortable. I'm a native Idahoan and really appreciated the touches of McCall history. Close to town but far enough away for peace and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay!

Awesome place and set up nice for family!

Upside: This house was perfect for our family- big enough for the cousins to spread out and play. The game room was a big hit as well as the horseshoe pit. The garage was big enough to store our kayaks and paddle boards. After a hot night’s sleep, we realized that there was a separate thermostat for the upstairs- which made all the difference. The owners were quick to respond to our texts and reset the cable box quickly. Downside: For the price you pay you’d expect to enjoy your stay and leave the cleaning and housekeeping to the maid service, but the owners instruct you to leave the house with the dishwasher empty, the linens in the laundry room, the trash taken out, and the house in “broom clean” condition.

This home is very well maintained and was perfect for our family get together. It had an open floor plan, well stocked and clean kitchen, in a quiet setting and was very homey. The owner's were great!! Definitely one of the best stays we've had.Thank you Diane and Dave for sharing your home.

Great house, great location, beautiful winter views out back. Well appointed for 13 people, multi generational. A couple of suggestions, need to look at front door and ice melt challenges, you cannot safely use front door. Secondly, need a bigger hot water heater as we ran out of hot water often. Other than those potential fixes all was great. We will rent again in future years. Thanks for use of your great house.

We loved staying here with our children and grandchildren! I can not say enough good about this place. It really was perfect with the nice, clean, spacious, well stocked cabin. There was even a pack and play for the baby to sleep in. The kids loved the smores kit/roasting stick and had fun roasting marshmallows over the fire in the firepit in the backyard. There was even cut wood for us to use. We also enjoyed the covered deck, bbqer, horseshoe pit, and watching chipmunks and deer. We felt like we were out in the forest camping, but with all the conveniences of the comfortable cabin. The owners were more than accommodating to us. Our children and grandchildren want to come back here soon!
