Located in Wisconsin, this attractive cabin for $223 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. The log cabin, built in 2012 by the Amish, is located on the Root River Trail. The trail is great for biking, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, rollerblading, and walking. The cabin is 2.25 miles from Lanesboro via the trail. To access the trail, you just need to hop on your bike and ride down the road around the farmhouse. The cabin is located on Hwy 250 3.75 miles by car north of Lanesboro with scenic bluff views. It is fully-furnished including two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with a queen bed. There also is a futon and bunk beds. This is a complete house with everything you need, except food. Enjoy the scenic bluff views while sitting out on the covered porch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. There is plenty of room to bring family or friends or just a loved one to enjoy a romantic get away. This is an absolute gem of a property to stay at. My cousins and I booked the cabin for 4 days for a hunting trip. The property fit all 4 men very comfortably and could have slept at least 8 very comfortably. The amenities are fantastic and the location is very convenient. Renee (host) was great and always available to help and answer questions. Check in and Check out could not be any easier. I would highly recommend this property if you are visiting the area. Will definitely stay here again for the next hunting trip!

We had a lovely time with 3 generations of family. We spent most of the time outside as the property had a basketball hoop, bags board and we brought relay race games along. The house was large but homey. There was enough room for the 8 of us to find a place of our own if we wanted. The back porch and porch swings were lovely and a welcome addition

Beautiful property in the Lanesboro area. Fully furnished with a modern kitchen, but log cabin feel. Great beds made for good nights of sleep, but didn’t spend much time there during the day because there was so much to see and do in Lanesboro and the surrounding area. Would book it again for the next stay in the area.

The images provided do not do this place justice. As a big group of friends, we were concerned with privacy. However, even the beds outside the main rooms have plenty of privacy, and everything worked out great! It has all the nice touches of a hotel but with the social settings to connect with friends and family.

All of the other reviews are dead on - fabulous place to stay! One thing to know is that there is a sand mining operation on the river right below the house. So there is constant noise during the day. I was able to think of it as white noise but it was hard for the rest of the family to enjoy the back deck because of it Definitely loved the house and location outside of that issue

This beautiful property was a perfect base for a week of fishing the Driftless. The craftsmanship in this Amish-built cabin is spectacular and the home is very comfortable and well laid out. There is one private bedroom, a bath and a bed in a loft upstairs. On the lower level there is a bedroom, bath and second living area with a second TV and bunk beds. The living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry are located on the main level. This was a good arrangement, providing space for everyone and privacy. The location is about five minutes from Lanesboro in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by nature. The furniture in the two living areas and DR is comfortable. The beds are very comfortable. The mattress on the king bed downstairs and the one in the upstairs landing are new (this year) and firm - a huge plus for my back. The kitchen is well stocked and organized. The home owner provided all dishwashing and laundry detergents, soap, shampoo and linens, so we did not need to bring our own. The Wi-Fi worked great and we had cell good service (ATT) at the home. We will definitely stay at this beautiful home on future trips to the area.

From the moment we opened the door and smelled the comforting aroma of wood, we felt at home. The cabin is in a central location so you can get to lots of attractions quickly. The small town of Lanesboro is a very pleasant and friendly place. The house had everything we needed and we enjoyed sitting by the fireplace at night and relaxing. Bedrooms were comfortable. One previous reviewer mentioned a broken futon frame in the alcove. That futon has been replaced with a new, very comfortable double bed. The decor and the home itself are beautiful. I would love to go back to this home again and I recommend it to anyone considering it.

We came for a long weekend with adult children and grandchildren. The space fit us perfectly. The cabin was well stocked and very clean. The bed in the loft area seemed to ha be a broken frame. That was our only complaint. Would recommend. Wish that the weather would have allowed to enjoy the porch.

This place is great on all levels. The cabin is very well maintained with great bathrooms and kitchen amenities. The location is gorgeous with a ton of trails and access to bluffs. Highly recommend!

The second level porch is incredible. The place was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. I would love to visit again. I'm not sure if it is an issue with how VRBO listed it but it is not 4 bedroom - so if you are searching for that - know that there are really only 2 bedrooms plus a loft and bunks in the lower living area. You can see that if you read the full description - but unfortunately, it comes up in searches as 4. Otherwise - fantastic!!
