Pleasant stay
The location was perfect, not far from Mablethorpe centre and the beach, which is brilliant. There's a tesco superstore about 4 mins by car, which was really handy. The site was fairly quiet, even though it was still busy. The beds were comfortable and the chalet ( in spite of needing the once over )was pleasant.
There was no shop on site. I gave the whole chalet a clean on arrival as there was a smell which I realised later was coming from the shower. Water had been getting in under the lino I think and the grate where the water drained away was full of smelly, offensive gunge. We felt we couldn't safely use it unfortunately.

Pleasant
There was everything there we could possibly need.
We had a situation with ants in the shower room, so we couldn't use that room for majority of the stay.

Rude and abusive permanent resident next door
It does not feel like a "holliday home" cant deny that. Property is on what seems to be a comunity of 24 challets stacked just a meter or two appart from one another, so any sence of privacy is out the window, to make things worse it appears that at least half of 24 challets are permanently ocupied by residents who lives there all year round. And dear me they dont seem to like visitors, all them grumpy, annoyed faces, avoiding eye contact and just mumbling arogantly when you say GOOD MORNING. American trailer park you see in movies comes to mind, and not in a good way. But one perticular female, permanent resident (Im unable to call her a Lady as I usualy would) next door of the challette we stayed at was a cherry on the cake. She went as far as yelling on our kids, telling them to shut up and blatantly saying they CAN NOT play there and should go back inside, mind you that was on the lawn just out the back door of the propperty, my daughter came crying to me and asked if we could go home as theres an angry lady shouting at her, when I asked her what seems to be a problem she replied YOU SHOULDNT HAVE COME HERE and just a few seconds in to conversation told us to F*** OFF AND GO BACK TO WHERE WE CAME FROM So yeah, that was rather unusual expierience and a lot to take in, honnestly struggled real hard to keep my cool and spent the rest of the holiday in completely ruined state of mind.

We should have stayed at home
That I could take my dog
No spatula to fry eggs, shower drain absolutely filthy, settee and chair uncomfortable, lots of used cigarettes outside the double doors facing the reception, pictures and window sills dusty. Mattress on the main bed very thin and very uncomfortable. Hole in the wall in the main bedroom, wall in the back room with the bunk beds warped and wavey. General cleanliness less than average, no instructions how to use any of the electrical equipment (I had to Google how to get the oven on) The chalet was very very very dated and needs a total revamp. The shower was situated in an inside like outhouse were you would store garden equipment. Very weird place to have a shower. The toilet wasn't very clean inside and again dated. The chalet needs a Ā£3000-Ā£4000 upgrade. We only stayed for 2 days out of the 5 because the bed was so uncomfortable. I'm definitely not posh (working class), but I did expect more for the price paid. I've stayed in better rooms with facilities at Blackpool for Ā£25-Ā£30 a night. Needless to say I won't be using it again

Happy with the stay in the chalet 7/10
location was good and handy within walking distance. Decent size and comfy seating. Parking was easy and navigation to chalet. Good lighting. Big TV and warm fire that was easy to use. Back doors could open and good airflow. Nice pictures and decor too.
Bathroom was too small and cramped. No mirror except small one in bedroom. The shower was tight and the water from the sink ran into the bottom of the shower tray. Nowhere to put things in bathroom. Sink was tiny in bathroom with no plug. Small freezer box in fridge - could only fit one bag of chips in it.
