Feel like home

We loved the place, we felt like home, the staff are so nice and they really took care of us. The food is delicious and fresh. I really recommend this place.

Food and staff are fantastic!

The staff was fantastic! The food was excellent! It is located outside Musanze, so the neighborhood is quiet. We enjoyed relaxing on the patio after gorilla trekking. The WiFi worked well too. We highly recommend this stay!

Hot water was unreliable, but nothing major.

Peaceful place in a beautiful setting away from the city.

The food was tasty and breakfast pancakes were delicious. The reception /dining area has many comfotable areas to sit; no need to hang out in the room (that said, the rooms are large and comfy). The staff (Angela, Fred, Peterson) were very friendly and helpful. We did not have a car but no problem, we enjoy walking, especially in the guest house village.

The place was very clean. The staff kind. There was a hairdryer😀

We were not that enthousiastic. The room was very clean which was nice but we looked from our room against a wall from stone. We couldn t close the bathroomdoor and makes a lot of noise. In the morning there was no butter no marmelade.

Fabulous

Breakfast was great and huge! Lots of fresh fruit. Friendly hosts, fast kitchen and tasty dishes. Rooms were spotless with modern fixtures. Highly recommend - slightly outside Musanze town, and therefore much quieter than some of the other go-to affordable inns.

Drive down from the tarmac road to the b-and-b was a somewhat steep and rocky descent (not a long one though). Fine in a small SUV; cars may have some trouble.

Friendly, budget option nearby Volcanoes National Park

Both Peterson and the owner were very helpful &friendly, we had some great home cooked meals, and the place was very clean.

The rooms could use a bit of an upgrade - our room’s ceiling was patched up and the doors weren’t really well isolated, meaning we could hear every sound and insects could make their way in from the outside. The B&B is located off the main road, so you need to go through a tarmac road to get there and it’s somewhat far from the town centre

It was an awesome stay. Alice and Fred were exceptional hosts. I felt at home with family.

The breakfast was very good. You could tell that the chef prepared the breakfast with the guest in mind

Superb

Urugano Virunga Place is definitely the best place we’ve stayed in Rwanda. Clean, newly renovated and very well located (only 20min drive from the main entrance to Volcano national park). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, food is excellent and the breakfast is just amazing. Don’t forget to try their pumpkin soup and amazing tea that will wait for you every day after hiking in beautiful Volcano national park. :)

Real gem with warm feeling

What a gem this place is. Impeccably clean and thoughtfully decorated. The rooms and especially the bathrooms very modern. The food was fantastic and plentiful. The hosts were wonderful in giving us directions and they even washed our car.

The only minor improvement point is the addition of a desk/chair(s) in the room.

Staff, living room interior, breakfast, very nice and friendly atmosphere, we got many tips and recomendations about activities near by

It depends on the taste, but bed could be a bit softer. First day was no hot water in the shower. But when we asked - all problems were solved

The musanze experience

The room is cleaned daily and bed comfortable. Environment is quiet. The food very delicious. The hosts especially Peterson and Alice gave us their best to make our stay the best experience we ever had with the banana bear making and hiking the twin lake.

The hotel is away from town centre, have to take a taxi each time to go there. Suggest a free car shuttle to town. Improve on the wi-fi, not strong inside bedrooms.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Alice and Peterson are such nice and friendly people and took such good care of me and helped me organising all my trips. Huge and delicious breakfast, best spice tea and filling lunch packages for the trips. If you are in Musanze, stay with them.

Very good

Its a very nice silent environment. Cold beer and kabezi was super.

Cold shower and also there was a power problem but i came to realise it affected all parts of Musanze but the management can think of a back up generator.

Spacious rooms, AMAZING food & a VERY loving host.

Very easy to locate , situated in a very secure area. The rooms are VERY spacious and clean, so are the bathrooms. You really feel at home and the beds are very comfortable! The host is an amazing lady (D’amour). She went out of her way to help us at the last minute in booking a car for our trekking at the national park, to get our permits to travel after curfew. She is very loving and caring and her food is AMAZING . You should definitely try her Rwandan beef stew:). My friends and I felt so touched by her care and how accommodating she was. She even made us a picnic bag for our trekking:) Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience :)
