Awesome place in the Kilotoa Loop

Very nice place and plenty of amenities to sleep in the middle of the Kilotoa loop hike. Great dinner and breakfast!!

Erg goed verblijf

Gezellig hotel, je komt toeristen tegen van overal de wereld die de wandelingen maken. De maaltijden zijn fantastisch. Zowel ontbijt als diner. Genoten van het Turks stoombad. Personeel zorgt erg goed voor zijn gasten: na het diner wordt gevraagd wat ze volgende dag nodig hebben: taxi, bus, lunchbox.

Such a cosy hostal

Owners are so incredibly nice. The vibe of the hostal is amazing. Having our own wood stove in the room was great.

Well maybe a fire place in the dining area.

Best hostel in Ecuador!

What a fantastic place. Without a doubt the nicest place we have stayed so far in Ecuador. The room was large and very comfortable with a nice hot shower. Lots of community space for lounging or exercising. Breakfast and dinner (both included in the daily rate) were bountiful and delicious. And the hosts and staff were so kind and helpful.

There is nothing to improve upon. Really remarkable in every way!

Toll! Mega Aussicht, tolle Menschen und lecker Essen :)

Das Frühstück und Abendessen sind super lecker und reichhaltig, es wurde für uns extra vegan serviert! Die Menschen dort sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit :) Das Zimmer war richtig groß und hatte einen tollen Ausblick. Auch die Sauna haben wir genutzt und war eine willkommene Abwechslung. Einzig die Lage ist sehr abgelegen und braucht eigentlich ein Taxi um wo hinzukommen bzw muss versuchen einen Bus zu erwischen, was etwas schwierig sein kann.

Great place to stay during the Quilotoa loop. Lunch box is excellent value and at staff are incredibly helpful

Sitio super recomendable. Cuenta con zona para poder secar / tender la ropa (llegamos con la ropa y zapatos húmedos tras una caminata) Cena deliciosa incluida en la reserva y posibilidad de bolsa para lunch (muy buena) y a buen precio. Muy atentos.

Lugar acogedor y comida excelente

La estadía en el hostal nos incluyó una cena la cual fue muy valiosa ya que al siguiente día teníamos carrera. La cena fue excelente, con sopa, plato fuerte y postre.

Warm and comfortable stay for one night on the way to Laguna Quilotoa

All of the staff at Cloud Forest are so friendly and helpful with guiding you on your way to Quilotoa! The food is yummy and everything is affordable. We were very comfortable and warm in our room; I was pleasantly surprised with the strength of the hot water and WiFi! Also, I love how this hostal has a common room with games. TAMBIÉN, the dogs 😍

We only stayed one night, but honestly, there is nothing we did not enjoy.

Good place to stay during the Quilotoa Loop hike

A group of maybe 20/30 tourists came there from Isinlivi and we all got caught in the rain. Everyone gathered in a kind of social room with an oven to dry their clothes, chat, play pool, chess, read etc. It was nice for the night, especially if you are exhausted from the rain.

No avocado on the lunchbox sandwich, which was promised :( (But that’s really minor)

Perfect stay after quilotoa loop hike

Comfortable clean rooms, hot shower, strong WiFi, plenty of food provided for evening meal and breakfast. Free tea, coffee and water refill plus more on menus for extra cost. Turkish spa is $3.

Con la cabeza en las nubes

Personnel attentif et au petits soins Chambre et surtout literie super confortable Les repas (pris en commun) étaient excellents Salle de repos et sauna + hammam à disposition Les hôtes étaient des plus aimables et de bon conseil pour les activités à faire dans les environs

Le wifi ne fonctionnait pas toujours malgré les 3 wifi spot L'eau de la douche était parfois soit brulante soit glacée

Superb

Incredible value for money! Dinner (3 courses) and breakfast were fantastic. This was the best breakfast (pancakes, fruit and yoghurt, egg, bread, juice) we had this whole trip. We even partook in the sauna (although the Turkish bath was not working at the time) and had a great rest before finishing our final day trekking to Quilotoa.

Cute property (but watch out for mosquitoes)

Lovely little property, great meals and reasonable prices.

For some reason our room was overrun with mosquitos. None of our other friends seemed to have this issue though, so perhaps some previous traveller just left the window open.

Typical scammer got cheated

With hot shower, nothing special and very overrated.

Typical scammer: booked a room, but once you got there, they told you it was dormitory., but the reservation clearly wrote triple bed room, I don't see the word ' dormitory' existed.. they have so many rooms and time, but don't bother to take one minute to change the description on booking extranet, so when we went there and got explained that it was dormitory. The breakfast was okay, but the dinner was terribly awful. The rice was not even fully cooked, and the soup was just plain potatoes. I didn't even finish the meal; the WiFi was almost nonexistent in my room and slow. The dormitory has no lockers, and you don't have any security to keep your belongings except believe your roommate which was a joke ., I guess they were expecting every traveler not to steal my items, however if my item got stolen, I didn't think they would take responsibility either. I will lodge a complaint to booking about fake room.

The owners and staff are super nice and help whenever they can. The food is good. The rooms have individual bathrooms. In total a nice stay

A nice big comfortable room to relax in after hiking the second day of the Quilotoa loop, they even have a steam room you can use for $3 which helped us recover

We stayed in the newer building and it was geat. The people were so nice, the beds were comfortable, the food was great, and the wi-fi worked well. It was a perfect stop on the Quilatoa loop!

Everything, lovely room, great dinner and breakfast, fantastic social room with fire to hang and dry your clothes after 6 hours in the rain, game room, and a sauna, though we did not use it, and the hosts are fantastic, do stay here!!!

A wonderful stay. Jose and the staffs are genuinely taking care of you, before and after your trip. They gave us detailed guidance how to reach there, and what to do during the hike to the Quilotoa. It is beautiful scenic road that you should not be missed. We also experienced the horse back riding to the cloud forest and villages! It is a beautiful experience, highly recommended!

The staff were very nice when we arrived. My gf and I did the quilatoa loop trek and was so nice to arrive to a comfy/warm place after hiking in the cold rain for so long. They even had these heater/fireplace things to warm you up along with drying your wet clothes. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The room was spacious and comfortable. We also ordered some box lunches to take with us on our long hike which really hit the spot. Thank you guys! I hope to see y'all again sometime! Ps. The game room is pretty sweet.

Quilotoa day 2

We had a nice large room with a wood stove in the common space just outside our door. The staff were very helpful with information on the Quilotoa Loop, and have made a lot of efforts to improve the trail in general. The meals we also very tasty and the portions generous.

The sauna and the spa weren’t up to temperature when we arrived.
