Great location. Our room in the 9th floor with the balcony was great and quiet, although the very busy traffic of the Downtown. Staff very helpful and friendly. Comfortable bed. Very clean. If we have the chance we will return.

Just missing a good breakfast, although I was informed they are planning opening a restaurant that will fix that issue. Even without having breakfast booked, in our day tour to the Giza pyramids the staff kindly offered us a breakfast box.

Mohamed was delightful and very helpful, ordered us dinner from a fabulous Egyptian restaurant (after asking if I wanted Pizza Hut or KFC!), arranged a great driver to take us to Giza and Saqara (and more), and was super friendly and welcoming, as were the other staff we met. The room was clean and lovely and comfortable.

The location, though extremely close and convenient to the Egyptian Museum, was a surprise; the hotel is two, upper floors (8 & 9)of a very run-down building; a building I honestly would never have gone into had I not been assured by our taxi driver that it was, indeed, the right place. From the outside, it looks nothing like the photos. There was no signage in English that I saw (perhaps they’re not expecting many non-Arabic speakers?) and the only way we knew where to go when we got to the elevators was by luck: a young man emerged from one, and when I asked if he spoke English, and if he knew how to get to the hotel, he did: 8th floor! Although it is called Almadiafa Hotel and Restaurant, there is no restaurant.

The breakfast is a disaster. Better stop offering it.

No fault of the hotel, but I would not stay in downtown Cairo again. Very busy and noisy. Very few good restaurants. Full of tourist traps.

The location is a full 10, at the center of the city and right across the national museum. The room is really spacious, clean and well equipped with hair dryer and microwave oven, completely exceeding our expectation, a well deserved 5-star room. The staff is also very friendly that he helped us with the luggage. Definitely will stay at this hotel if ever come back to Cairo again.

The hotel was located in an area which was easily accessible to some tourist "must-see" sights. There was a bank with Forex services at a reasonable rate close by. The balcony was nice. Mohammed who handled my check-in was very welcoming and helpful with information. I didn't get his name, but the gentleman who readied my room was very kind as well. I believe he assists in cleaning and stocking the rooms. He was great with assisting with my luggage and seemed to do it out of kindness, not the tip.

Although the hotel is called Al Madiafa Hotel and Restaurant, there is no restaurant. The water in the shower was slow to drain and the water had a poor smell. If the other occupants are out and about in the hallway or speaking loudly in their room, you can hear it. The other Mohammed at check out was not very helpful and I believe he tried to scam me out of $50 stating that it was the fee for late check-out even though I was not told about the fee when I inquired at check-in. Initially I said I would pay by Visa and he was okay with that. He then called back and told me that it would have to be by cash as the machine suddenly was not operable. You probably want to walk around the corner for Uber as traffic can be hectic on the street and many drivers will accept and then cancel the trip. Also, if possible, give the Arabic name for pick-up when having pick-up from private drivers, tours, etc. as simply giving the name Almadiafa may direct them to another location.

If you are not really into Ritz/Kempinski stuff, it is definitely the best option to stay as close to the Egyptian Museum (Old one) as possible. Cozy rooms, nice and helpful staff, sterile cleanliness.

The breakfast is terrible. Although the idea of boxed breakfast is not entirely bad (especially in covid-19 times) , box filled with set of fully artificial, highly processed products wrapped in tons of plastics, is a big mistake. But the name it has absolutely nothing to do with "Continental Breakfast" - unless we speak of some strange new continent (maybe Great Pacific garbage patch???). It seems like the management is ashamed of the traditional Egyptian kitchen or too lazy to establish some business relationship with one of the numerous cafe's or juice bars dotting the neighbourhood. Big shame...

The staff was very helpful. The room was extremely clean and tidy. I was surprised by how much space I had. The balcony was also amazing to relax in. Daily room tidying with respectful and polite staff

Room could be cleaner... Didn't think they cleaned the floor most days. Get 2 free cups of coffee.... After that you need to buy. Not really a problem if you only stay one night. Walls are thin.

location is the only positive I can possibly think of this place.

1. Access to the hotel is via extremely dated lifts. 2. room wasn’t cleaned like one would expect to be done as a standard 3. breakfast: in a box two pieces of bread and a bugger bread with tiny amount of cheese with a can of juice and water. not sure if that ticks for breakfast 4. basic tea and tiny coffee sachet. 5. despite paying for breakfast, I was told that’s not included. (only plus was after asking £50 when I turned it down and was on my way out a bit later they were willing to offer for free)

Very nice interior in reception and rooms. The hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming, they upgraded our standard room to one with the terrace which has a big balcony. The rooms are very spacious and clean. We advised of our room having spotty wifi and they immediately fixed it for us, would definitely revisit and stay at this hotel. Location is walking distance to most places and right in Tahrir square, easy to navigate and get taxis if needed. Rooms are quiet which means good sleep on the comfy beds. Amazing hospitality, honest staff and very helpful and accomodating, I recommend for everyone to stay here, best hotel in Cairo!

Super clean appartment at the heart of Cairo. Next to Egyptian Museum, Tahrir square and a number of places to eat and drink coffee. Spacious inside with all the necessary amenities. Stuff was very helpful and welcoming.

No breakfast available. Noise levels a bit high because of the traffic but I guess that's to be expected in Cairo.

Difficult to find. Need to give the bank next door as a landmark or the hotel across the street so taxi drivers can find it more easily.

Location is fantastic, just round the corner from the Egyptian museum. The hotel is on two floors at the top of the building. It's brand new and clean. Staff are excellent! Super recommended
