Friendly staff. Location close to many bus lines

Close to several bus lines, friendly nice staff, neighborhood vibe, little neighborhood restaurants, kids

No English so no advice on city maybe should have been a bit cheaper. .

Good only for a night stay and with low expectations

The location was convenient to reach central town by walking

The property needs a refresh, the wall paper was all damaged and dirty. I booked the private room with private bathroom, it was a big room and cheap, but a small effort to modernise it together with attention to details will make a whole difference (ie no bedside lamp, so you either keep a very bright light on or you are in the dark, also you have to get up from bed to switch it on and off). The Wi-Fi signal didn’t reach my room, I then find out there was a dedicated modem in my room that required to be plugged in. But since nobody spoke English, nobody told me. It was a real pity not to be able to communicate with the staff, as I would have needed infos about my stay and what to do in Xining. They seemed to be helpful but because of the language barrier they seemed relived when there wasn’t an attempt to interact with them. I was fooled by some reviews I read and booked 3 nights, definitely too long of a stay. I guess European standards are different when it comes to accommodations.

Excellent price to stay ratio.

The staff was very friendly. The facilities had kitchen and laundry. Very convenient.

People smoking. Beds were a bit uncomfortable and no think curtains.

Okay for a Night

Price and location was good. Staff was very friendly, shared tea with our group.

Property needs screes over windows for mosquitoes. Also fans would be nice to help ventilate the room at night.

It could be better

The staff was friendly and the location is very good, near Mojiajie. They can arrange trips around the area.

The place was not clean at all. Also, everything was old and worn. You can't understand it from the booking site, so it was a big surprise for me. I think it needs a renovation.

Good location, poor service

It seems they gave our room to somwbody else so we got a bigger one.

The room was not very clean (also the towels). The shower was super cold and it took long time to get hot...at the end We prefer to have cold shower and don't waste so much water! Ay first they didn't give any towel and we had to pay for, the next day we realize they just forgot to put in the room (it would have been nice to mention it)

Good

The location of this hotel is good. The staff is friendly and helpful (only because of them I decided to rate this hotel with 7, not 5). Everything was clean

It was like I got to some regime objects rather than decided to stay in a hotel. But I think it's a little bit Qinghai style. Speaking about the hotel, I would say that one power socket for the whole room is too less. And they don't have towels (I booked a single room), soaps, slippers, anything... Seems you have to buy it, but fortunately I got a soap for free

Very good

We were worried when we saw the outside of the building, but it was such a nice hostel situated on the top floor. A very comfortable common room with lots of information of what to see in the area displayed on the walls. The lady who checked us gave us helpful information on how to get a bus to Guide and what hotels there would accept foreigners.

Whilst they kindly helped us organise a driver for a 2 day trip to Qinghai Lake, we were disappointed to find out afterwards that the 3 of us foreigners paid more than the 3 other Chinese people who were also crammed into our car. They paid 150rmb each per day (300rmb each in total) whilst we paid 200 each (400rmb in total). When we messaged the hostel to ask why, they denied that we paid more and said that was the going rate.

Superb

This place is awesome! It's up on the 15th floor of an apartment building, which I thought might be kind of problematic to locate, but it really wasn't. We got in at almost midnight, and the lady at the desk was very patient and kind getting us settled. They helped us find a hospital to get a quick NAT test (thanks, COVID travel regulations!) and answered all our questions helpfully. The layout is quirky and fun, and I could see how it would be really fun to travel with a bunch of friends there -- lots of common space. Internet was excellent.

Some of the bedding was visibly aged. The hot water in the shower took a long time to heat up.

Loved it!

I never really liked the hostel experience, but the hotel I was at suddenly got overbooked and I was forced to find something last minute - this one also provided separate rooms with private bathrooms, so I gave it a go. I will definitely stay at LETE again next time I’m in Xining! The staff was lovely and helpful, it the whole place had a very cosy, homey feel. The room was spacious and comfortable, great value for money, it also included all the basic amenities. Would heartily recommend to anyone looking to stay in Xining, budget or not.

Great place to stay in Xining

Friendly people, nice hostel, comfortable, offered coffee, size of the rooms was good, very affordable and quiet at night. The location is pretty good. Opposite of the hostel there is a Dongbei restaurant called Laoshaguo （老砂锅）which is really amazing. I mean REALLY amazing if you love Dongbei food.

There was an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet, so we had to make sure to ventilate well and keep the door to the toilet closed.

Good place to stay for the great location and friendly and helpful staff!

Great location! The staff is very friendly and helpful! Good value for money! Also they give you information where you can go in the area and when you want to visit a place.

The place could have a re-paint and a bit nicer decoration of the rooms. They have nice photos hanging in the corridors but not in the rooms. A little bit more attention to the room decoration would make the hostel even more attractive!

The place has great potential, but needs deep cleaning and better up keeps.

It’s in a high rise building, it provides some city view.

The place was not clean, from bedding to bathroom to kitchen. They can only provide one key, but there’s were four of us; it makes going in and out difficult with key required to enter the gate and elevator.
