The front desk person, a Latin young woman named Marilyn, was excellent. Every time I saw her, she made my day. She was friendly, always happy, always trying to help and always tried to take a few minutes to listen and share things to assist me in what I needed. She is a great human being and a great asset to your establishment.

Super clean, really friendly staff and an awesome location! You can go in all four directions and be somewhere awesome in a ten minute walk.

Fridge was kind of small, but there’s a bigger kitchen I didn’t see!

Room was very clean, bed surprisingly comfy. Had a much better nights sleep than I expected. I was in a 6-person room but I think there were only 1-2 other people there which was nice

it was really clean inside and out. Staff were very friendly and helpful and it was in the perfect location, very easy to walk to everything we needed. Great value for the price and I would recommend it to others

it took a long time for the shower water to heat up and the water pressure was a bit weak. Also no outside guests allowed in the rooms so our friends weren't able to drop by

I liked the view of Montréal from the rooftop. I liked the snowfall and watching the person scooping it up.

I didn't like how the staff were not very welcoming, as much as we are led to believe (Canadian hospitality, exceptionally friendly compared to the rest of the western world etc). They were the complete opposite, which came as a complete shock and baffled me to the point where I was questioning myself like am I even in Canada!? Did not smile or ask if I was enjoying Canada, nor did they offer any tips or advice about places to visit, so not great at customer service skills, almost seemed apathetic and bored, just sitting behind their desk, staring at their computer screens, not engaging with guests. I was also not refunded part of my stay (the first night) even when my flight was delayed and therefore became too tired to check in on the first night. I called the hostel to let them know about the delay(on the first night I was due to check in), and its knock on effect (jetlag) and it seemed that one of the staff was going to be kind and understanding enough to take off the first night payment as I was not going to be there, as that would be unfair to charge someone if they can't make it and have given a valid enough reason why. That was how it sounded over the phone, but because it was over the phone I was not able to get it in writing, and I was later to discover they had not made a clear note stating this on their system to verify this promise. When I approached a different staff member at the desk the following day, they said to check with their colleague to see if this could be honoured, so they were a bit more helpful than the rest of the staff, but then they were not there the next time, so I had to speak to someone else. Their colleague said that their other colleague I spoke to on the phone on the first night meant that I would not be charged for being a no show because I had spoken to them and confirmed that I would be unable to check in on the first night of my arrival to Canada.

I had a wonderful stay here. The beds are super comfy and the cleanliness is exceptional. Even though I stayed in a shared space, it was as quiet and as good as a separate space. You have access to the kitchen to fulfill your cooking needs and a lounge for a comfortable experience. I would love to book this place for my future visits to Montreal.

The free coffee and tea offered here are not something you will enjoy. It needs some improvements.
