I'm in Chicago for work on a regular basis and usually stay at a mid level Hilton or Marriot property. This time I decided to extend my work trip through the weekend so my gf could join for a "Christmas in the City" weekend, and booked this condo instead of the usual cookie cutter hotel. I'm so glad I did so. The condo was perfectly sized/accessorized for us, the dining/shopping/entertainment options within walking distance are endless, super helpful and friendly door staff, clear communications/expectations from the owners, nice gym/amenities on the 9th floor. And walkable to anywhere I needed to go for work (central Loop and Fulton Market). And OMG the views and the balconey! The condo itself is not flashy or super lux, but the views of the lake and skyline made us feel like we were living the high life (literally and figuratively). Especially the pre-dawn view of the eastern horizon well before sun-up - truly priceless. So 5 stars all around - I will definitely look at this property (and the others owned by James and Jeri-Lou) for future visits.

We loved this apartment. The location was perfect and near everything. Building staff was kind and secure. 9th floor gym was excellent. Communication with owners was very good. Detailed instructions. Loved the large balcony and fireplace in our penthouse. Well done!!

Honestly, this place was great! The pictures dont do it justice. The place was immaculately clean, which is one thing you can never be sure of. I would recommend this place to anyone and will likely be staying again in the future. The hosts were very informative, and had plenty of communication from start to finish. I'm sure they are very responsive, but I never needed anything because they have every detail covered. I never once needed to get in touch with them. I would recommend this place to anyone and will likely be staying again in the future.

Great location and fabulous views from the extremely large deck. Well stocked kitchen had everything that we needed, plus the Jewel was just steps away from our front door. Will definitely stay again if we return to Chicago. Highly recommend!

The Penthouse is in the perfect location with just amazing views of the city. We've never stayed at a place that was so well stocked with everything we needed. If it wasn't there (it probably was) there is a very nice market next door. The check in and out process as well as communication with the owner was flawless. In addition, the door staff was very helpful, answering any question we had. We just can't say enough good things about this property and the amazing 5 nights we spent here. Book it, you'll be happy you did!

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. The city view is incredible and breathtaking. We lucked out on a couple of sunny days and could see the lake very clearly. The place was spacious and comfortable. It had everything we needed from a fully stocked kitchen with nice pots/pans to a coffee maker with filters, extra towels, Kleenex boxes, directTV for watching football. Access to the gym and the outdoor pool was also really nice. This place is in an incredible location with amazing restaurants and groceries nearby. Eataly was just down the street and it’s a great place to pick up fresh cheese, bread and produce if you want something nicer than the couple of local grocery stores. Right out the door is access to the L train, which was so easy to get around town. Very close walk to the river. The owners were very easy to communicate with, and very quick to respond. This gets our highest recommendation, and we would go back in a heartbeat, and stay here again.

The incredible views and friendly doormen added a positive touch. However, the non-functional cable TV was a letdown. It's frustrating when trying to relax or wait for others. Thankfully, WiFi saved the day, allowing us to use our phones.

The view was so great I didn’t want to leave. Couldn’t have picked a better place. Walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, navy pier, and more. Wish we had more time to enjoy the extra amenities! We would definitely stay here again

The views are indeed worth the stay. I will coming back to Grand Plaza every time I visit Chicago. The locals was perfect - we took the red line (literally outside of the building)to Wrigley stadium

Great property with close proxomity to all downtown Chicago attractions. Very convenient with grocery store next door, train statiom across street and multiple pharmacy and convenience stores in close walking distance. Views are breathtaking!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Plaza Penthouse. Excellent communication with the host throughout. Views are amazing! Conveniently located in the heart of the city with all the amenities you can want. Will definitely be back again when visiting Chicago.

Property was clean. Pictures online have to be several years old. We expected something nicer, everything was old and tired. Fake flowers everywhere! Bring your own pillows - they are bricks.

The property was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We stayed for four days to see the sights and this was a great home base. Easy walk to a variety of restaurants. Visiting in February, made the price more of a value. Turning on the fireplace and watching it snow from the 51st floor might have been even better than swimming in the pool anyway.

We stayed feb2-6. What a great property. Location was outstanding. The views were jaw dropping. The balcony was huge! Every little thing you can think of was provided. The property was exactly as described. Check in was flawless. We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace. Great place to relax after a long day seeing chicago. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at this property just before Christmas. Location is ideal - easy walking to the Mag Mile and tons of restaurants as well as the theatre district. Building was great with lots of amenities - definitely recommend.

Gorgeous views of Chicago were to be had from every room in this exceptionally clean and beautiful penthouse! We enjoyed cooking breakfast in the kitchen, watching the sunrise reflecting off of the buildings, having conversation in the living room with the fireplace, and playing board games at night in the dining room. We were perfectly positioned for great shopping, and lunches and dinners within walking distance, and each place we ate at had great GF options! We will definitely be back!

This is the fourth or fifth time staying in one of Jim and Jeri-Lou's apartments. All of them are fabulous. Very clean, well-stocked, lots of amenities, great location. Will definitely stay at one of their places again. All of them have been just wonderful.

The penthouse was absolutely marvelous. The owners were so communicative - giving us plenty of instructions for checking in, parking, and other necessary details. The building felt homey and safe, and the penthouse was a home away from home! They have each room stocked with everything you need!! We loved that the grocery store was attached to the building for quick trips for food and drinks. Everything downtown was walkable and the view from the penthouse balcony was to die for. We plan to revisit Chicago soon and book here again!!

I don’t have enough good things to say about this place! Spectacular views! Everything you need to feel right at home. Great location. Grocery store right next door. The place was sparkling clean upon arrival. Would definitely stay here again. And did I mention….. the view?!! It bears repeating! It was that good.

Such a great stay! Location is ideal and many of the sites are a walkable distance. Nice neighborhood with tasty restaurants. Rental is as pictured. Beautiful views both day and night. Check-in was a breeze. coming and going from the building was easy. Other than regular city noises, unit was very quiet. Uber eats had no problem finding us. Really the only thing I can criticize is that several of the artificial plants could use replacement.
