Friendly staff, great location.

Great location centre of town. Very helpful friendly girl on the counter when we checked in.

Roadworks going on. Streets half blocked off. Had to pay an extra $35 for car parking which was located under the building.

Location good, that's about it !!

The size of the room was big, and it was clean.

The breakfast ..The place for breakfast was so small and hot that you felt claustrophobic. It was packed, at 9am we had the last table it was like eating at a school canteen. The food was average and no variety, one type of bread, one canned fruit. We had to ask for cutlery as they didn't keep it stocked. The milk jug was so heavy couldn't lift it as it was so full, perhaps 2 small ones would be better. The staff looked stressed and flustered. There were a few stairs to breakfast area, would be hard if you couldn't do stairs as didn't see a lift option. The room .. some plugs didn't work, the shower over the bath needed a handrail, super slippery and older or limited mobility people would struggle, it's dangerous. Beds were very hard. Location was the only thing going for this place

Comfortable.

The reason I chose the hotel is the location is close to the sky is terminal. It is 5 minute walk.

The King Standard Studios are nice. Good view to the tower. Relatively big as well.

Good location and close to amenities

Good sized rooms and living room. Free breakfast offered. Onsite laundry facilities. The night shift staff couldn't do enough to help when we checked in very late at night. Great location and very close to the Auckland sky tower.

Unfortunately and not a negative as outside of the hotels control - works are going on outside to extend the subway network. On a weekend there can be a lot of noise from some of the other residents.

My 3rd time at this hotel and my last. We were allocated a room on the 4th floor which was very big but very cold, stark and run down. I asked for a change and was given another on the same floor that was equally as bad. Staff said this was an upgrade from what we had originally booked as it was bigger. My idea of an upgrade is of higher standards and better facilities, which these rooms were clearly lacking. Following lots of talk in their own language I was finally given the room I demanded which was the room I had booked. Apparently the rooms on the upper floors, the ones in the photos when booking are "corporate" rooms and they are then down grading customers to lower standard rooms on the lower floors. I do appreciate being taken for granted and having desk staff rolling their eyes. I will not use this hotel again.

wouldnt stay again

the staff were nice

the whole floor and room smelt musty, the air con was very loud but need to be on when sleeping as the room was very stuffy. i was there for my first night away from my child who sleeps terribly so was hoping to sleep in tilll8 but the outside noise started extreamly early so it was impossible to sleep. was advertised as having a king sized be but didnt

Pleasant

Breakfast was great in the restaurant, we were able to store our bags prior to our room being available and our room was available an hour earlier.

The bed was very uncomfortable and room was quite muggy. There was an odd musty/mouldy smell coming from one of the bathrooms.

Great value for a 3 Star Hotel

We stayed in a twin room (1204) on the 12th floor, looking over Victoria street. The room was clean and had a kitchenette. Overall we thought the room was a reasonable size. Parking on site was $35 a day. The staff were friendly. We were central to Vector Arena and the Waterfront- an easy 15min stroll. The sky casino is only 3 minutes away. There are eating places close by. With a cooked buffet breakfast included, we felt that with the price we paid, we had great value for money. After all, it is rated a 3 star hotel. We would stay there again.

Not the hotels fault but the water pressure was very low in the shower. We could hear a bit of street noise after 11pm when we got back to the room- music and loud talking coming from the street. A bit strange for Easter Sunday!

Great location for a one night stay with being able to walk out into the centre of Auckland. With reserving ahead we used the hotel car park and were able to leave the car there until 1pm. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Although clean and comfortable the hotel was a little tired and the breakfast choice was limited and below expectations for this grade of hotel.

Unless we can get a room at the back of the hotel sadly we won’t be staying again.

We always stay at the Presidential hotel but this time we heard constant boom echoing music to late hours. I actually thought it was in a room in the hotel but apparently it was from a new nightclub near by.
