Value for money and amazing staff

Close to town but didn’t feel like you were in town. Staff were amazing.

Central Paradise

The property is in a central location, close to the town centre of Apia which includes the Fugalei market, cultural centre and much more. It’s also very clean and well looked after. The breakfast buffet every morning was well catered with a good variety. The hotel also offers Curry Night on a Sunday and FiaFia night on a Wednesday - both fantastic cultural events which we thoroughly enjoyed taking part in.

The pool had a few chunks of plaster missing from the bottom - but nothing of concern, still lovely to swim and relax in.

Very pricey for the service that was offred and the room as it definitely needs an upgrade.

Our room...always mosquitoes in the room. Water was constantly flowing out of the shower every time it was used. Bed very uncomfortable.

Location is great, staff can do with a workshop or training on good hospitality.

The reception staff was a great help checking us in early and we really appreciated his help. The Janet’s boutique was a bonus, the staff was efficient friendly and knowledgeable. The location is perfect for visitors with walking distance to town.

The room was not cleaned properly, dirty towels and sheets were not changed. Floors in the room and bathroom were not swept and mopped. Dirty dishes were left behind. Poor cleaning standards, we even tipped the cleaner before she cleaned the room and she left the room in a poor state. Bed was not made properly, bench tops left dirty.

Perfect resort for your island experience.

Location, friendly staff and aesthetics.

Not so much to not like. Staff tried to clean rooms however we were always in and out we had to request replace towels.

Superb

Had a really nice day at the Tanoa. A warm greeting from Siri and a really good check out experience from the Manager Salah who solved a small issue very professionally. The room was comfortable, and the food and beverages were great, excellent staff all round

The beach in front of the hotel is not swimmeable

The staff were very friendly & accommodating. The room was clean & tidy.

Our shuttle bus was not at the airport upon our arrival, which had been confirmed 2 weeks prior to our trip, so our family of 18 had to catch 4 taxis to get to the hotel. The shower had a little bit of mould on the tiles, the room was cleaned daily however the sheets were not changed for the duration of our stay. Not much of a variety for the breakfast buffet.

Was a great place to stay once upon a time, but unfortunately not anymore.

Gym (although equipment a little run down), pool

constantly having problems with swipe key, room door lock was broken, bed uncomfortable, visited reception desk 3 times to confirm a shuttle to the airport (4am pick up) only to not be on the shuttle list - frustrating problem especially at that time of the morning!

not worth the price

the grounds are nice, as is the location. the internet connection is good. Free water is provided in the room (not the case in other hotels in Apia). The staff is really nice.

the rooms are gloomy. the cleaning is very questionable (both the room/toilet as well as the blanket were not very clean). it’s outrageously expensive for what you get. the shower goes from hot to cold to hot to cold water. I complained and someone came to fix the issue but didn’t resolve it. The breakfast is pretty basic. the restaurant menu is very small.

I liked the facilities, location and food/drinks provided in hotel

Staff need to communicate more (esp in english for non Samoan speakers). Staff need to be more helpful with enquiries especially of what tourists can do in the country. Also, my privacy sign went missing and staff helped themselves into my room.

Wonderful escape in a great setting

Such a lovely environment -pool area and lush gardens are wonderful. Room was great, very clean, and with great air con. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Was great value overall, with good breakfast included.

Could be a bit more forthcoming with local information and help (didn’t always receive correct info when we asked about things), but in fairness we understand that tourism is only just getting going again, so not everything has been smoothed out yet!

I really enjoyed my stay and I would definitely come back.

The location to all the stores and town historical landmarks was a plus. The room was spacious and the amenities were sufficient for my needs. The staff were accommodating and helpful and they my elderly mother’s stay with me comfortable. Breakfast was always a great spread.

What could be improved is the landscaping maintenance. Also, the swimming pool didn’t look very clean by the time I checked out.
