5 star resort ambience with superb customer service and peaceful, convenient location. great facilities and free access to kayaks, snorkel gear, lounge areas, and a great restaurant to dine in each night with happy hour specials. The cleaning staff cleaned our bungalow everyday and our room always felt pleasant and comfortable. Staff coordinated water taxis efficiently. The stay felt like a 5 star resort and I would stay here again.
breakfast was great with good portion control, but would love some meat protein options as well. Electricity is only on from 6pm-8am, which isn’t a problem if you bring external batteries. also bring USB ports if you need to charge usb items since they do not have usb outlets.

The Bungalows over the water are beautiful. This is a very relaxing place. The food at the hotel was good and the breakfast was excellent. They are very accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cool little off the grid place. Loved swimming off the deck and the meals and staff in the restaurant were great. Lemonade was the best ever!
Three things that ruined this place - Disco that went all night and kept us awake: it was across the the water but was like being inside a boom box until 4 am. Heat - fan was useless and no A/C - had to keep the windows open for the tiny breeze so it was even louder and it was soooo hot. Electricity turns off at 8 am and as we were awake until 4 am that sucked too. I think if it was just one of these things (not the disco) it would have been fine but hot, exhausted, and without power was just a bit too much especially when it wasn't super cheap.

fabulous from the very start. thanks to the staff, especially Manuela, for such a warm welcome (yay welcome drinks) and for helping us with the free paddle boards and snorkels, and for telling us about a sloth sighting in the on-site nature preserve. the room was comfy and luxurious and even had a tiny window in the floor so we could look at the fish in the water below. the entire experience was so wonderful that our only regret was not being able to stay any longer!

Way too expensive for value offered. Had to book dinner and breakfast ahead...come on guys...People come on holiday and want to be spontaneous and not plan what they want to eat the night before.

Stayed for 4 days in January and it was AMAZING. This is by far one of the coolest places i've stayed at in the almost 30 countries i've traveled to!!
The staff are incredibly warm and helpful. Great English, but willing to let you practice your Spanish too :) I stayed in the jungle treehouse and it was so amazing, waking up to the sounds of waves and birds, and the bonus little sloth who hung out right outside my shower window!
They have kayaks, SUPs, and snorkel gear to rent. The water nearby was a little murky but great for exploring the mangroves. Very isolated feel on Bastimentos... but compared to the Old Bank area nearby (which i found to be sketchy and run down), you feel totally safe here.
And the nature reserve they have is so cool!! I walked it alone every morning and evening with no problems. Added bonus, in late January, I didn't swat a single bug or mosquito... and I was walking barefoot and shirtless through the jungle!!
Don't hesitate if you get the chance. If you love nature and solitude, come stay here 💚
The wifi, especially in the treehouse, was very weak and often cut out. Also, one of the dogs on the property made me feel a little uneasy, especially in the evening when you're walking back from the jungle nature reserve trail--it will come at you barking--so highly recommend you befriend him before you venture out. If you talk to him in a nice voice and he remembers your smell, he settles down in a minute or so.

It had its own nature reserve which was beautiful. Everything about this place is stunning. The receptionist was very helpful and so friendly. We nearly missed our 12pm boat from Boca's del Toro due to our poor planning. The receptionist rushed to help us and called a friend with a very fast boat! We made it just in time. Would definitely stay here again!

The bungalows have a good layout and the swimming is delightful. A wonderful nature trial out back with sloths and caymans
They are very reserved with ice when you are paying big premium prices. Not even body lotion inc at $500/night and no little extra touches like welcome drinks. The walkway to cabanas is too narrow with no railing

Staff went the extra mile to make sure we felt comfortable and able to enjoy our honeymoon. The location was the perfect combination of feeling secluded but yet conveniently close to different points of interest. It was definitely a special and relaxing place in a magic location.
Nothing really but I'd make the recommendation to implement a quiet time after 10pm for all guests.

The location was incredible. This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. There are tons of sloths all around the property. The staff was so sweet and helpful and the included breakfast was very delicious.
The place is a little crammed for 4 people with luggage, but overall we were still very comfortable. Since it's an ecolodge, you don't have electricity during the day so you need to use the natural lighting.

Beautiful bungalows with convenient location and amazing crew!! Everybody went out of their way to accommodate us. Food was delicious. Alejandro, our tour manager made our stay especially enjoyable.
It would be very helpful to have a sun umbrella on decks, as sun is too strong during day hours to enjoy the views. Also , safe would be helpful to secure personal belongings. Be aware there is loud music into wee hours of yhe morning coming across from restaurants and noise and fumes from frequent water taxi. And mostly be aware of sand flies, they are vicious! Make sure you have repellent and a good one!

Amazing location with clear surrounding waters and island forest with a trail with several birds, reptiles and mamals. Great for snorkeling, kayaking, paddle and other water activities.
Maybe the bar could be open until 11:00pm.

Staff was incredible and very helpful. Very nice experience. Kayak and paddle boards available. Boat to town is 5 dollars per person which adds up but we still loved it.

the facilities are just amazing. they will let you use their kayaks, surf boards and even snorkels. however, in the rain season the visibility is not too got for snorkeling most of the time, but that’s just everywhere. the staff is super friendly and keen to help. the private jungle with the caiman and everything is cool if you’re into nature but don’t want to get too adventurous.
something they might be just a bit too helpful. but that’s just your person taste, if you want to be taken care of this is your place. also location is a bit annoying, you’ll have to eat in their restaurant

Staffs are super friendly. It is an interesting experience for the family who has never been staying in a place like this. The view is great.
Maybe it’s the rain reason, we got murdered by the mosquitoes. We walked the trail behind the resort to wizard beach and there were so many ocean garbages which was quite disappointing. On Sunday night, some place from the town played loud music till midnight. Since it’s our first time staying in ecological resort, I wasn’t sure if we should get room cleaned and drinking water.

Beautiful views, good food, friendly staff. Nico was pretty much a Superman for us. His service was amazing !! Alejandro the tour guide was smart, funny, and very helpful. Free SUPs, kayaks, snorkeling equipment and coral reefs right near your bungalow porch. Great value and exceptional service. Do it !

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. Perfect location, great friendly staff and few silly dogs that make the family atmosphere.
We stayed in the room in the main building and it was clean, not noisy at all. I particularly enjoyed the hammock on the front porch. The food is good, it is in the panamanian price range (so it can seem expensive, but it’s similar in the whole Panama).
There is a nature park on the property, where we saw sloths, red frogs, kaymans and other animals.
We also highly reccomend the guided tours with local guides, they are super nice and there is a lot to see. :)
In the bungalows it can be noisy during the night, there are bats and some cockroaches. Nothing horrible - in the main building we didnt have there animals visiting. :)
