Beautiful and spacious accomodations at a perfect location to enjoy Puerto Veijo

Loved every part of our 1 week stay. Beautiful and spacious accomodations with kitchen facilities, large sleeping area and bathroom. Our breakfast was delicious, the pool was fabulous and location perfect! Laura, our host, was accomodating while allowing for our privacy. The hot tub was lovely! Thank you for everything... perfect location for all the beauty of the area.

Absolutely no complaints. It was a perfect stat and I’ll return here when I return to Cocles.

The accommodations are stunning. Sometimes when people focus their reviews on the word “clean” that can be code that cleanliness is the only positive. Well this place was clean - clean, absolutely beautiful, the pics do not so or justice and the area surrounding the bungalows are safe and equally beautiful.

Breakfast is not included. At night the place is deafeningly quiet. So if you have a conversation on the phone or if anyone has a conversation in another bungalow you can hear it. I mean you can hear people turning over in their beds in neighboring bungalows, it’s that quiet. I strongly suggest bringing a sound machine if you want any degree of privacy at night.

Loved my time here. Very peaceful. Toucans, monkeys, butterflies, dragonflies and owls all to be seen or heard on a daily basis (amongst others) Impeccable house keeping, great shower and a very clean swimming pool The jacuzzi at night was a special treat!.. Felt very safe as a single female traveller. Would be romantic for couples and fun for families. Close to beautiful beaches and Puerto Viejo for lovely shops and good nightlife. Owners were very helpful and kind.. Really good value for money!

the property is beautiful, very well kept and very elegant designed.

The houses have some kind of nets instead of windows, which is very nice somehow but it the same time it is very noisy at night. we could here people talking from other properties, partying, etc. Couldn’t rest properly.

relaxing place to stay in

the property is very quite, the bungalows are spacious and they are well maintained. the green areas are very nice. the kitchens are very well equipped.

Fine for older couples with cars, not for families though.

The bungalow we had was stunning and because there was largely no-one else there when we stayed we had the pool to ourselves. The garden did have animals in and the highlight was seeing a sloth and a toucan. Also the bungalows are under a 1km from three supermarkets!

Location - they say they are 1.5km from Puerto Viejo. No so. In fact they are at the top of a gravel, windy road that is 800m long. When you reach the bottom you are on the main road which clearly says Puerto Viejo is 3km away!! So nearly 4km away in total which wasn't what we wanted at all. The 800m walk also made it impossible to go out at night because there was zero lighting and lots of dogs around. You would have had to get taxi's back and forward and that would have cost a small fortune! Very disappointing. They need to be more honest about location for people that don't have cars. If you do have a car then its probably fine. General feel of the place was gloomy. The photos are obviously highlighted and this gives the impression of a much brighter place. In fact everything was quite dark and just generally not a great atmosphere. Probably perfect for older couples with cars but not great for a family, with a ten year old who are reliant on taxi's. We ended up hiring bikes in the end just to get to places.

Magic bungalow close to the beach

The bungalow were bright and beautifully built, the facilities were clean and the swimming pool nice for a late before dinner. Laura and Maurizio were really helpful and gave us lot of tips. I loved looking at the stars from the garden, this place is just magic!

Great place to relax in nature

The property is clean, beautiful, very much in nature, and very welcoming. The bungalows are cozy, and terrific.

Idyllic setting in the jungle in a well-equipped bungalow.

Beautiful property, plenty of privacy, nice pool, very nice hosts, well-equipped kitchen, awesome bathroom, and good parking. Note: we didn’t pay extra for the hot tub or breakfast so can’t comment on that.

They can’t change this but the 6am howler monkeys were not quite the same as a rooster. Better to wake up early and get the day started.

Good but it could have been wonderful with some little changes.

We did not have the breakfast because it was a basic simple breakfast with a very high price

The Boungalow is nice and I certainly understand the environmental issue, however If the hotel does not have AC, then it should have multiple fans at the bathroom area, terrace and kitchen. It only has a fan at the room but the room is a big area for only having a single fan. The place is very nice, but it has too many regulations for example you can not use sandals in the pool area, you can not use the pool at night, you have to be extremely careful with the bed sheets because they charge you if for accident you spill cream etc. they charge even for using a jacuzzi.

beautiful area with nice bungalows with high price-value

beautiful garden with a lot of animals, enough parking space in the yard , the rooms are really big, nice shower with hot water, room was absolutely clean and covered all around with mosquito nets, there is a tv and fan inside of the bungalow and a well equipped kitchen

slow wifi (but thats almost standard in the remote areas of Costa Rica), there is a extra fee for the whirlpool which we thought will be included in the (high) rate for the room. unfortunally there were constructions work at the neighbours ground. they serve breakfast but it will costs also extra

La Magia Bungalows are located in a quiet area, in a jungle. On the property you can see small animals and birds. The hosts are very nice and friendly people. The big supermarket is near by. Cocles beach and surfing is within a walking distance. You can walk or take a short tuk tuk ride to Puerto Viejo.

The beauty of the facility intertwined with the marvelous and peaceful nature. Every detail make this place an amazing one. Truly love the fact they focused on making something so beautiful in my town and preserving the nature at the same time.

The bungalows are beautiful! This was the first time that we stayed at a place where the photos look as amazing as the actual bungalows! Staff and owners were also exceptional!

The only small thing was the distance from the beach (1km aprox). But for people looking for peace and nature surrounding, like us, it’s amazing!
