Memorable stay at Whispering Pines.

Excellent service. Delicious breakfast. Helpful staff. Beautiful gardens.

The road that leads to the hotel is terrible- it can get dangerous when it rains (as it did). It is full of potholes. It is not the responsibility of the hotel to have the road in good condition, but of the local government. However, those roads scare away tourists.

A hidden gem which we cannot wait to come back to!

The location was like a hidden gem. We had chosen a special get-a-way for best friends to celebrate Lisa's 50th. Lisa lives permanently in the USA although she is South African, and we wanted to spoil her with the best experience. Whispering Pines exceeded all of our expectations. The staff were exceptional and went out of their way, especially Israel. His service was brilliant and he definitely went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Not 4 Star Quality - This is a complete misrepresentation - A massive dissapointment!

I liked nothing about the Estate.

This accommodation does not live up to a 4 Star Rating! 1. The sand access road is nothing short of precarious - A sedan would struggle to get through the large undulations in the road, basically large mud pools that one has to drive through without any visibility of what lays beneath, or how deep these mud pools might be - Fortunately we travelled in a SUV - The right thing for the estate to do is to advise that the estate is only accessible using a 4x4. 2. The fact that Wifi is not provided in the units should be explicitly stated, not inferred by advert comments such as; "Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge". This immediately brings into question the 4 Star Rating. 3. The Unit cannot be considered as being at ground level as advertised - Access to the unit can only be gained via a steep set of stairs - Reference to the "Entire unit located on ground floor" is a misrepresentation with a steep staircase to access omitted - There is no ground floor access to a garden whatsoever. 4. The Unit has neither a "Garden View" nor a "Landmark View" as advertised (see photo). 5. Flies were all over in the unit (see photo). 6. The Unit does not have a "Private Bathroom" as advertised - Yes, a private toilet, but not a Private Bathroom (very disappointing, this a priority requirement for us). 7. The air conditioner is noisy - Requires servicing. 8. My Booking.

The food was definitely worth going back for.

The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable. The cottage in the trees were very quiet and peaceful. Loved that there were boxes of tissues in the bathrooms. Nice touch.

We didn't like the fact the swimming pool was right in the middle of the conference centre area. We didn't use it as there was a conference on while we were there. We would have liked breakfast to start earlier than 8.30 as we needed to leave earlier than we were able to.

Hilton house

The lodges were secluded and beautiful in terms of being surrounded by nature. The rooms were spacious, and the staff was helpful and friendly

Honestly, I didn't like the drive-in to the lodge . There was not much signage that made me question if I was at the right place

Our stay was lovely and had an amazing Birthday celebration which was made special by the staff.

The stay at the Whispering Pines was amazing and the staff made my Birthday so memorable more than I had envisioned it. The breakfast was perfect, I tried something different on the breakfast menu and it was scrumptious. Thank you Chef and the lovely staff :-)On my list to revisit it again with my partner soon to experience the tranquility and serenity it offers.

I could have appreciated if we had been booked for the Spa all 3 (me, my dalin Sis & Mom)of us at the same time. Also is nicer to also be given more options to add on Spa treatment as the place is nice and relaxing. However, everything turn out perfect. Thank you

We really enjoyed and we are looking forward to visit again..

We liked the location of the place,the way the place is settled n even the workers treated us well cuz they have care

The place was perfect but one thing that I thought we'll find,it's place to have fun like entertainment (Dance place we're people having vibes)

Tranquility - just outside of Jhb and Pta.

Great menu available at the restaurant with reasonable pricing. The place is beautiful. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

A must for a romantic gettaway,in a beautiful environment.

The breakfast was superb.The staff were very friendly and made us feel so welcome,due to their attentiveness.The Manager,Jeremy, is very 'hands on' , is visible and leads by example.The hotel is well maintained and the Chalet we stayed in was a private haven ,with tastefull furnishings and very clean.

The shade netting over our chalet outside patio needs replacement..

Relaxing and peaceful romantic getaway

Everything was absolutely perfect. This was not my first visit and I would definitely go back again. The fireplace in the winter, with load shedding, is the highlight along with a giant bathtub. The deluxe cabin really is ideal for a romantic getaway. The breakfast and dinner portions are very generous as are ALL the staff. The place is starting to feel like home.

A Cozy Cabin in a forest

The deluxe cabin we stayed in was stunning. The fire place is the biggest bonus. The property is well maintained and beautiful. This place really is a special gem. I highly recommend staying here. Jeremy was in constant contact from the minute I booked and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. I just wish it could have been a longer stay. We will be back!

The place is beautiful....rooms were clean.Jeremy and Lucky made sure that we were comfortable and warm. Special thanks to Tshepo the waiter,he was so friendly and patient.He made us feel at home.The waitress Kele...thank u so much dear. I'm definitely coming back in summer.
