Absolutely sensational and we will be back

Comfort of the room, the ambulance of the building, the comfort in the club section, the friendless of all the staff and attention to detail

The room could of been a bit tidier and the shower a bit easier to use - the hand section didn't work at all.

Luxury City Stay

Had the most luxury stay! Valet parking - amazing, staff soo helpful and friendly! The rooms are so incredibly quiet (including the aircon!!) the king bed and pillows were soo comfy, the curtains thick & heavy - made the room soo cozy and dark perfect for sleep ins! Pool and sauna amazing added bonus! Will definitely stay again!

Lovely old, but well maintained, hotel in a great location.

Room was clean, pillows and bed were very comfortable. Towels were lovely too. Room was made up when I came back (though a little late one day). Staff were great and very accommodating - even assisted me locating somewhere to purchase a cable I had forgotten.

Wifi in conference area was not good - probably due to brickwork / location. They should look at a wifi extender to boost the signal. In my room they need to change the bathroom door to face the other way, so it doesn't open onto the vanity, which is annoying.

Fun time with family

The room is a bit small and a liitle outdated. There was no bathtub., the bar and coffee area is too small. However, the facilities were amazing. The pool and jacuzzi are clean and really well designed ~It is comfortable that my kids enjoyed it a lot. The towels and the shower area were also clean and fresh. But disappointed that there was no steam room, which I always looked out for when in a hotel. The gym is average. The breakfast was remarkable! It is definitely an 5-star hotel breakfast trademark and I was not disappoint. The unlimited barista coffees and freshly squeezed veggies and fruit juices made me happy.

The bar and coffee area needs to be a liitle bit roomy. and could have been better if there is a bath tub.

Stay away!

Staff was friendly and we liked the location.

Restaurant was not operational on weekend, yet you are not allowed to eat take away food in the restaurant or lobby area, so we had to eat in room and rooms have No ventilation so rooms were smelly the whole stay. Aircon was always on, 16 degrees, we had to go buy jumpers and jackets to be able to be in hotel or a a room. Toddler was sick the whole stay because of the cold. Ceiling bulbs all had different colours, Yellow white, cold white.. Spa was dirty. No one knows if toddler is allowed in a pool. I mean, this was the worst hotel expereince, It would have been understandable for $60 a night, but this was $600 a night stay.

Would come back again.

Lovely property, breakfast amazing. Staff amazing. Great to have access to Ronnie’s restaurant from the hotel. Central location. Shower was amazing. Beds were really comfortable and air conditioning was quiet. Ability to connect with Netflix.

swimming pool and spa a bit dated though. Room was smaller than we were expecting based on photos.

The friendly and acommodating staff are what make this place great.

The staff were friendly, accommodating and absolutely lovely. The facilities like the pool, gym and sauna were great. The beds were so comfy. The buffet was fresh and had a huge variety. We would stay here again.

The shower grout in our room needed a good clean. On the weekend nights the hotel seems to be a popular dinner location which was exceptionally noisy untill wee hours of the morning. The TV's are not smart TV's so you can only access live TV. There also wasn't any kids options for the room service menu.

Showed my booking number at check in but mentioned just need my name. However when given,she mentioned no such reservation.She needs to know that some Asian do not have surname but use our parents name as last name on our id.

Very comfortable and clean room and so spacious too. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Great location as it was a little further away from the busier part of the city but still close to trams and Southern Cross station. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel, convenient location.

Great location and building, comfortable rooms, very quiet for the city.

Room wasn’t serviced during the day when I was out, they didn’t come around until 5pm when I was getting ready to go out for the evening so had to pass.

Fabulous old building with modern luxury in the heart of Melbourne.

Rooms were clean and bathrooms modern. Ambience in the hotel was lovely. Staff friendly and helpful.

Don’t waste your money on this hotel. Find some other hotel.

Only location

It’s a huge list. Already speak with 2 managers on duty but I believe they won’t take any actions. Customer service is zero. They only want cost cutting whenever and however possible. No dinner available on Sunday night in restaurant as according to manager on duty she said that restaurant was not making money so management decided to leave only bar open. So many other issues but I know it’s use less as they won’t change their attitude. I wish if intercontinental main head office take some serious actions to maintain the standards of this 5 star hotel.

False listing on booking.com

The staff at the hotel are wonderful, they provide such impeccable service, especially the porters. The block out curtains are wonderful. The club lounge breakfast is fantastic with so much variety. I will definitely stay here again but might book it directly with IHG.

The listing on booking.com indicated an in-room spa bath was included. It was only a bath. Pay close attention to the listing. Poor form booking.com. My only negative was the quality of some of the snacks in the club-lounge. On occasion, the bread used in the afternoon tea was stale.

We will be back - worth every dollar paid for our stay.

Absolutely loved our stay; especially the staff who were amazing! Everyone we encountered was very friendly and ready to help. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and provided a great night’s sleep. The breakfast is even better than you’d expect, we were so spoilt for choice! If you can think of it, they have it and their service is second to none. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Beds need lock on the wheels so you can sit up in them without them rolling away from the wall. The smallest inconvenience in what was a wonderful stay.

Location was good. Walked into the city for dinner. Room was a good size.

Overpriced. Didn't include parking which was an extra $79 for the night.

Good location, the bed was comfortable, the staff members were friendly

The shower pressure was super low (need to be fixed), a pillow had a stain, the amenity box was already opened and used. (Maybe the cleaner forgot to change)
