The staff , quality of the dining room food and the wonderful spa facilities- including pool and steam rooms . Bed comfortable . Excellent location

would not serve any drinks after midnight on a saturday evening even though the sabine bar was open till 1 am and we went there at 12:15 i think even if you pay to stay at the hotel they don’t want you there if they don’t think you suit their crowd very disappointing

The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had and I have stayed in a lot of hotels. Pros: 1. Check in was good & quick and the first attendant we met was welcoming. 2. Breakfast was OK. 3. Room size was good. Cons: 1. A good number of hotel staff are either plain rude or simply just racist. Our treatment by one of the concierge staff was worse than I could possible describe here. We came into hotel lobby the morning after check in and were just looking seeing like guests do. I suppose being a black family he was quick to racially profile us. Even though he was busy serving others, when he saw us he quickly turned around and asked very rudely, ‘can I help you?’. I replied, ‘no thanks, we are guests upstairs.’ He answered back in the most demeaning way, ‘I didn’t ask if you were guests, I asked if I could help you’, and then turned away to serve his preferred non black guests. I later reported the case to the manager who tried to apologies and promised to speak to the staff member but I never heard anything back afterwards. Same day in the hallway coming from the rooms, a housekeeping staff left the door shut in my face as I was walking directly behind her. She made sure she opened the door wide enough for just herself to squeeze through and just let it close almost in my face. A few minutes later, the same housekeeping staff skipped past us (myself and kids) in a small hallway coming from behind us and just brushing past. This time I asked her why she was being rude and she mumbled an apology I couldn’t understand as she barely spoke English. 2. Room was left unclean until mid afternoon even though we went out twice during which the rooms could have been cleaned. When they eventually came, we explained that we were staying in 2 rooms if they could please clean both. The housekeeper seemed upset and insisted on only cleaning one. She barely understood any English.
