My stay was very pleasant. The price we paid for the suite was a bit too much thought.

Breakfast was nothing special. There was a lack of variety,.

More fruit, porridge, decaf coffee etc..

Very good

The staff was friendly and the housekeepers did a great job every morning. Generally, the place seemed clean. It was quite quiet - I could not hear the noise from the road and the music from the terrace/restaurant stopped at a reasonable time. My room was on the ground floor but given that there is a security guard on-site during the night, I felt safe enough to keep my patio door open in early mornings to let some fresh air in. The microlocation is very good as there is access to the local beach literally across the street. That is not a given in the area unless you're staying at a beachfront property. The beach is quite nice and I found it more pleasant than the famed Pereybere beach. Overall, the neighbourhood is lacking though.

The facilities were somewhat worn: the walls in the room were due a repaint as they were full of small stains (squished bugs I assume), also the decking around the pool requires repair as some of the tiles were quite loose, loud and there were gaps. All the pillows and sacks in the pool and terrace area were discoloured and need a deep clean or replacement. The overall location doesn't have much to offer. There is a supermarket about 10 minutes walk away and a few small local convenience stores but no other places to buy food or drinks were available nearby (apart from the hotel's own restaurant). The adjacent main road is not very pleasant to walk along as there are frequent segments without a sidewalk. In the evenings, there aren't many people outside and the street lighting is poor. Generally, the area caters better to all-inclusive resort tourists.

It was a pleasant stay with clean interiors to relax in.

This is a good value for money property as it is a pretty cute set up with cottages with faux thatched roofs and a pool . It’s clean and well maintained. You can access the beach by crossing the road so it’s very near . The pool is available only from 9am to 7 pm hence if you are out during the day and want to relax in the pool during the evening, it may be too late.

The breakfast was not up to the standard and may not appeal to all especially if you are from India. The location of the hotel is slightly away from the main city and hence there are not many options of dining near the vicinity. The closet mall is about 25 min drive away.

Idyllic little boutique hotel for a relaxing break

Amazing location if you want easy access to a gorgeous beach with few people on it (it is just across the road) and nice restaurants nearby. Very friendly staff. A lovely intimate courtyard-style boutique hotel built around the big pool. My room was very comfortable with excellent A/C and are super quiet. TV worked fine. Such a pleasure compared to the hotel I stayed in immediately before this!

The meals were a little small and plain for my taste, but that is pretty standard everywhere in Mauritius. I did get woken up by the cleaning staff fairly early the first morning but it didn't happen on subsequent days. This isn't something I disliked but the hotel is 10 minutes walk to the centre of Pereybere so bare this in mind if you want to go out for dinner and do not have a car.

Creepy Crawlies

I liked the beach opposite the hotel.

There were a lot of creepy crawlies in the room, it was very uncomfortable.

wonderful place

great location lovely friendly staff great breakfast- lots of choices for everyone restaurant was good - competitive prices & good quality great pool

only a personal thing, that the bedroom was closed in the middle between lounge & bathroom with no windows- next time wouldn’t take a privilege room as others had a view from their bedroom

Nice stay

Very nice staff and great food, especially red tuna with vanilla sauce. The room was very quiet. Beautiful beach close the hotel. It was a very nice stay :)

Towels were not clean enough - they had spots of dirt. Loud small lizzards in the room but we were able to go to sleep. The toilet seat was broken.

The place is very quiet, the staff is nice and rooms are clean. Maybe the breakfast could be better but we have no complain at all. We spent there only 2 night and the value of the price is good for what they offer. We haven't try the restaurant (dinner or lunch) so we can't say anything. Thank you everybody for our relaxing time in Mauritius.

Great guest house, bad atmosphere due to leadership

The location of the guest house is great and as advertised. There are a few beautiful beaches very close to the location; they are, however, mostly private. You can still spend your day there, just something to be aware of. Additionally, La Cambuse Public Beach is close and also nice. The exterior space of the guest house is appealing. In addition, the guest house offers free parking and free beach towels, which is appreciated.

The biggest problem with the guest house is the atmosphere and how guests are treated. We stayed for two weeks and did not once feel welcome. If you are not speaking French, you feel like a secondary guest. We had staff turning their back on us when we wanted to exchange beach towels every other day and staff roll their eyes when they approached us. In general, the atmosphere was far from professional, also due to the director Ms Bellefroid. The director talked to every French-speaking guest; she did not once come to us during breakfast, despite us being the longest staying guests during our stay. Even worse, on some days she had acquaintances staying at the guest house, which led her to being extremely unprofessional. Next to loudly ordering her staff around and talking about them badly in front of the guests having breakfast, she responded to my partner asking for a different kind of yoghurt that "this is what we serve and that's it" in an extremely rude manner (btw. just because someone does not speak French, they still might be able to understand it ;)). I have stayed in many hotels due to travelling a lot for work, but I have never experienced some kind of show like the one of the director during breakfast. Anyway: The breakfast quality is all right, the amount of breakfast is meagre for European standards as has been mentioned by other guests. You can choose either eggs or small crepes but not both (quality is good). In addition, each guest receives a tiny (homemade) bread and a small amount of fruit. Sometimes you get a "cake of the day", which is also remarkably small. We would have loved to have eggs for breakfast and crepes and more fruits. This breakfast felt like the bare minimum they had to provide. The wifi signal in the room is often bad, as mentioned by the hotel. This feels like it could be an easy fix to provide more service to the guests.

I loved how nice the staffs were, I loved the architecture of the place and how well maintained and neat the place was.

the place has somewhat of a mosquito and insects problem. I think if they do fumigate from time to time it will help.

Fair stay

Fair room and breakfast, good location if you want to have a base in the north. Pool looked nice as well but the weather didn’t allow us to use it

Quite basic, small and dull room with no “personal” touch. Bathroom was as big as the room itself. We also had ants in the room

Week in paradise

Cozy and quiet hotel near beautiful beaches. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel offers a large number of trips, car or scooter rental. The rooms are cleaned every day. Pleasant sitting by the pool and bar. Tasty dishes from the À la carte menu. Possibility of massages directly in the hotel. Free parking and wifi.

For breakfast, you can choose from only three options that they prepare for you (it always includes extra yogurt, fruit, juice, jam, butter, pastries). Although the breakfast is very satisfying, the option of a smaller buffet would clearly be a better choice (after a week these three options are very repetitive). As the hotel already mentions, the wifi signal is weak in the rooms. Some sort of mosquito net to ventilate the room at night would be greatly appreciated. Mosquitoes buzzing in my ear all night. (i am not fan of AC) Otherwise great experience! :)

I'd pick this hotel again when visiting Mauritius. Prise and value are great.

The place is pretty and and seems like some renovation was done there. You can enjoy your time at the swimming pool or go to the "private" beach across the road.

Breakfast is okay but could be better. Also there were not many cafes around but we had a car so no problems with that.
