The breakfast were super good. Staff were helpful.

The bathtub is too small but it's fine.

Nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The Japanese style buffet breakfast was very good. Great location - only a few minutes walk from Kyoto station and about 30 minute walk to Gion and Pontocho (or a quicker train ride from Kyoto station)

Near train station.

Normally, the room will be clean, unless you don't want it. But this hotel works differently. I would appreciate if the hotel can start b/fast early or give voucher to get our own b/fast (for those who are entitled), as there are times where we need to catch the 1st train ,eg: 5.30am or 6am train.

Location is nearby the Kyoto station and bus stop.

Location excellent - so close to Kyoto station, the airport limousine stop and the bus station. A very detailed map of the short walk from station to hotel was available, even including photos - very helpful Rooms and hotel in general very clean.

On Booking.com the details shown included 'English spoken', which influenced our choice since we knew we would need help on our first day. In fact the receptionist didn't speak any English so she couldn't even direct us to the nearest tourist information office and didn't offer a small map or any help at all, just a shrug - as first impressions go, not good! Others on reception at other times did at least have mini translators which they used to give as much help as they could. Many hotels don't have English speaking staff and don't claim to, but if the service is offered on the website I would expect it to be available.

The location was very accessible from Kyoto Station which was the best base for sightseeing in the city.

The breakfast selection was plenty but could include more western dishes and fresh fruits.
