beyond my expectations

My room was clean and well appointed. The view from my room balcony was exceptional. Breakfast was good with a different selection of food each day. The location is perfect, right in the center of the beach close to d mall. .

Worth the money

Housekeeping team did a real good job in daily cleaning and water topping up. location is brilliant that is close to the ocean, restaurants and meet up point for water activities. Band end before 10pm and it’s great for my room that is directly next to it, and they have quite a wide selection of breakfast choice. Pool facing balcony is fantastic and there’s beach towel and mat available from hotel! I’m really happy with the transfer team that makes the trip fuss free and save lots of time especially you have tight schedule.

Breakfast coffee is not constantly top up. When it reach to the last few drips you need to tilt it by yourself to get the cup fill. There’s a warm welcome when you arrive but my arrival time is in the evening and the reception is rushing to get you sign the documents and done the deal. No drying rack available in the room, will be great if there’s one.

Great location but lacked atmosphere!

The room was well-appointed and the facilities worked well. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The transfer (Taxi-Boat-Taxi) from Caticlan Airport was timely and enjoyable. The location was very good. The music finished at an acceptable time each evening.

Overall I felt that the photos were somewhat misleading. Also, there are no sunbeds around the swimming pool and no room to place them if there were. Breakfast options were limited, and simple things like Orange Juice were not available without additional payment. We felt that the hotel lacked atmosphere which meant we ate elsewhere for most evenings.

nice stay

we liked : - the large choice for breakfast (great scrambled eggs) - very nice staff, responsive - beach front, easy access - clean and calm swimming pool - close to bars and restaurants

we didn’t like : - there was ants on the balcony - a cockroach fell on the bed while we were napping - congee was not tasty enough

Best location on Boracay!

Boracay Mandarin Island hotel, Don Leon Suite, is the best location on the island with its own deck overlooking white beach and it’s own private 10 person spa! The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the cleaners. The pool is good as is the restaurant and bar! Sunsets are awesome!!

I liked almost everything but the noise from the restaurant can be challenging from 10-11pm. I suggest to offer individually wrapped butter.

Roaches and mosquitoes (just a couple of each). I don’t think the floors in our bedroom was swept/mopped. There’s still hair on the floor and in the bathroom.

Great place overall but noisy band

The locationis ideal. The bed is realy comfy and the room are spacious.

The noise... unfortunately we had our room next to the restaurant and it gets really loud when the band is playing from 6.30pm untill 11pm every night. Can't even watch a movie or just go to bed early.

Perfect Location, Large Rooms, Friendliest staff

The location of the hotel is perfect. Can't get better. Greeted with a warm smile, a welcome drink and a cool towel, we were easily taken to the suites we booked. The roof room with the private pool is what we booked. It was large, spacious, and the roof deck was huge. The evenings had a great singer performing from 6:30-midnight or so. You could swim late in the pool and feel 100 percent safe at any time day or night. Even teenagers can go out on their own at any hour and you do not have to worry. It was clean, safe and they provided lots of free drinking water, towels for the beach without any hassle. Just a great place to stay. I would definitely stay here again. Since we were not in the room very much, I would probably get the lease expensive room available. In addition, there are beautiful balconies off many of the units, but I only saw 3 rooms using theirs, so although beautiful, I do not think it is a necessity. Book it today! You will be happy you did!

The roofdeck could have been covered to have more shade. During the day, the sun was too intense to use it. The 'pool' was only two feet deep so you could not swim. It was more like a hot tub that was unheated and no jets. I would not book this room for that feature, but I would book this room for the spaciousness. The room itself has some cracked tiles, and looks a bit older-it is a hotel that was built many years ago-but the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff make up for it. Only 2 other hotels in the area looked newer so I would not exclude this one at all from your search, but it is a beachside hotel so know that-not like a 5 star new hotel.

Well worth the visir

The view and location was amazing. The Matt's and towels available for the beach was wonderful. The room was very nice. Lots of hot water and excellent water pressure. The staff was very friendly and helpful

The band playing until midnight was a little much making it difficult to sleep every night. The breakfast buffet was adequate but disorganized and not very tasty.

Altogether a great stay. My husband and I wouldn’t mind coming back.

Being right on the beach is amazing! you could walk out of your room right to the beach and find water activities to do, multiple store fronts, the DMall really close by, restaurants, henna artists, braiders, etc. Anything you need on the island you can find by walking out on to the beach and asking someone, but it’s likely they’ll find you first. All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful though. Breakfast was also great, just get there before 9am or they tend to run out.

Getting into the hotel from the street is kind of crazy. A lot of construction and not the prettiest view. You have to go by a hospital ER entrance which is kind of crazy, but fine. They also play live music every night in the restaurant all the way until midnight. I don’t think it matters what room you’re in, you’re going to hear it loud.
