Ok for break, but wouldn't go again

SUPER SEJOUR

Hôtel avec une vue magnifique. En demi pension les restaurants sur la plage et au sein de l'hôtel nous évitent de sortir (nous n'avions pas de voiture donc idéal). Belle surprise : les spectacles le soir, avec de très bons artistes, idéal pour passer une bonne soirée. Au niveau des repas c'était parfait (large choix, varié, copieux). On a passé un très bon séjour

Vi havde en super ferie

Meget fin morgenmad og fantastisk beliggenhed. Perfekt udgangspunkt til vandreture. Herlige omgivelser. Dejlig stor pool, der måske var lidt kold . Pragtfuld strand. God alternativ restaurant, når man ikke ønsker halvpension og buffet.

Gulvtæpper på værelset. Brug af tennisbane var relativt dyrt . Burde være gratis og en del af hotellets tilbud

Foi tudo muito bom mas...

A localização é excelente, muito lindo. A comida é muito boa nós dois restaurantes. O personal é simpático as vezes encontrava um ou outro arrogante mas nada para ali além.

A internet. A rede estava boa mas não dava acesso a muitos sites de filmes e players. Queria ver um filme tive que procurar no YouTube porque nos outros sites não dava. Interessante que quando ligava os dados móveis todo funcionava bem e quando ia ao um lugar fora do hotel onde tinha internet também tudo funcionava. Foi uma chatise. Eu e a minha mãe gostamos de ver filmes antes de dormir.

Buen hotel al lado de la hermosa playa de Falésia

excelente ubicación, acceso a la playa, jardines y la vista de las habitaciones

la comida muy masiva y no del todo buena, demasiada gente en el restaurante.

Très décevant, loin de correspondre à un hôtel 4 étoiles

les extérieurs, la plage Le buffet du petit déjeuner copieux et bien fourni

La chambre (lugubre: décoration nulle, balcon avec vue sur les voitures et le parking orientée plein nord), la restauration(peu de choix, plats baignant dans la sauce, très répétitifs, soi- disant soirée à thèmes, quelques plats peut être, l'accueil, le manque d'informations, le parking pour les voitures (parfois difficile de trouver une place)

Ubicación inmejorable. Desayuno muy bueno. Atención del personal muy buena.

La piscina estaba en mantenimiento y no lo sabíamos. No vimos dicha información al hacer la reserva o no debía estar muy accesible.

Heerlijk verblijf voor een korte vakantie aan de Algarve

Ontbijt was prima en uitgebreid. Er zou iets meer variatie in vleeswaren kunnen maar eiergerechten waren er in diverse variaties. Elke morgen een verse pot koffie op tafel. Voor diner hebben wij gebruik gemaakt van dinervouchers. Bij 3 vouchers is de prijs 24 euro p.p en bij 5 stuks 22 euro p.p. Hiervoor krijg je een uitgebreide saladebar, div koude en warme voorgerechten keuze uit 2 soepen en 6 a 7 hoofdgerechten en een uitgebreid dessertbuffet. Gerechten worden telkens aangevuld of ververst. Diners zijn per thema. Hotel heeft div buitenterassen met schitterende uitzichten en een mooi buiten en binnenbad. Kamers zijn van gemiddelde grootte met prima bedden. Dagelijkse goede schoonmaak met ook handdoeken voor het zwembad.Vriendelijk personeel waarbij wij goed geholpen zijn door de Oekraiense receptioniste. Parkeren van huurauto kan prima op toegangswegen naar hotel. Schitterend strand dat met een gemakkelijke trap (132 treden) bereikbaar is. Op de hoge rode rotsen liggen mooie wandelpaden. Sommige gedeelten zijn niet bereikbaar ivm prive-eigendom. Let op met kleine kinderen want er staat geen omheining bij de klifwanden en op sommige stukken staan waarschuwingsborden voor afbrokkelende klifwanden. Leuke uitstapjes zijn bezoeken aan Lagos, Loule en kasteel Silves icm bezoek bergdorp Monchique.

Gratis hoteltransfer van vliegveld naar hotel was niet geregeld. De hoteldirectie verwees ons naar booking.com omdat zij deze dienst zouden regelen. Verder hebben de kamers grote inbouwkasten maar deze ruiken erg muf.

Excellent séjour! nous retournerons dans un Hôtel PORTOBAY

petit- déjeuner: très bien buffet à thème: bien Chambre spacieuse, propre, très silencieuse, lit géant très confortable

Chambre 159: Le bouton des WC est dur et la cuve est longue à se remplir. Un détail: en 2024, il faut des prises USB en tête de lit. Buffet: bien mais comme dans tous les buffets, problème des mal-élevés: 1 exemple: la paella: certaines personnes s’empressent de prendre toutes les crevettes et les moules, alors le plat n’attire plus personne et il faut attendre 1 h pour que les serveurs comprennent qu’il se passe quelque chose...ou bien que quelqu’un donne un ordre...Il faudrait qu’une personne serve les clients pour ce genre de plats (également le cataplana...)

Decepção na hospedagem.

O hotel é bem grande , a área externa bem bonita .

O hotel precisa de reformas , os quartos estão ultrapassados , cama estava cedida , travesseiros cedidos e o tapete mancha a meia . Na recepção vê bem os sofás cedidos e ultrapassados . A internet no quarto não pega muito bem . O café da manhã os pães pequenos parecem velhos . A coisas a melhorar senão , não coloquem hotel 04 estrelas .

We had a wonderful and relaxing holiday.

We had a great time. We celebrated my husbands special birthday and received a nice sparkling wine and staff at Il basilico were very accomodati finding a table for us at the last minute on the spwcial day.

Gym- too small and two machines not working. My daughter and I are celiac and the braed/pastry options were limited.

Relaxing

Outside area is lovely - large pool, garden area and quick access to the beach. Loved the food at the buffet breakfast and dinner, staff very friendly. Relaxing atmosphere. Hotel is kept very clean and lots of nice sofa areas to sit outside. Beautiful view of the sea and cliffs

The room was outdated, fixtures and furniture quite old. The air conditioning broke multiple times. Staff were very quick to get it fixed, but it is obviously an old room. Also no double beds, just two single beds put together. For the price, I would have expected a more modern room

Superb property, stunning scenery, hotel management top class…

Our stay would have been perfect if one unfortunate event involving one staff did not occur during our stay. Fortunately hotel management dealt with it swiftly and professionally.

Thoroughly relaxing stay at PortoBay.

Good location, not far from town centre. Very clean and tidy. Good reception area and very polite and helpful staff in all departments. No rush for the sun beds.

Although we knew about the 139 steps down to the beach, it was still challenging going back up on a scorching hot day. But worth the effort to walk along the beautiful 7km beach.

Hotel is located in very nice area, surrounding was clean and keep in. Amazing view to the beach, from hotel area and close to swimming pool also nice resting area. Breakfast plentiful, various fruits, cheeses, sausages…

Little bit noisy during dinner time, we had room at first floor above restaurant and kitchen.

The beach was beautiful Very nice views at the restaurant Nice tennis court Breakfast was good

Staff spoke little english and some of the staff working in the reception we’re rude and unhelpful. Over all atmosphere was not it, something off about the place. But with some hospitality improvements this could be a very nice hotel.

Exceptional

We loved our stay here, the views were amazing. There were lots of chairs and umbrellas so we did not need to get down to the pool early to get one. Easy access to an amazing beach. Staff were delightful. I wish I could remember the name of some of them, but sadly I don’t.

the only disappointment was the coffee which was usually bitter and sometimes lukewarm.
