Amazing views over Uvita, reasonably priced, easy access to the city.

The view was amazing. The room had a balcony overlooking the sea, fantastic views of the sunset. The pool area was fantastic as well, the view on the sea was incredible. The price was very reasonable for the location and facilities.

The room as well as most of the facilities feel a bit dated (in need of a bit of TLC).

La habitación, instalaciones, desayuno... excelente....

Lo malo.... es el camino de acceso desde la Carretera Costanera hasta el hotel, hay tramos en piedra y la mayor parte de este camino en cemento muy deteriorado con muchos huecos difícil para vehículos pequeños. Ademas, el acceso desde las habitaciones hasta la zona de la piscina y restaurante a través de una gran cantidad de gradas que limitan el acceso para personas con algún tipo de discapacidad...Ojala pronto puedan solucionar estos detalles porque el hotel es muy lindo.

Great pool area and staff, BUT.... run down rooms that could be cleaner

The staff was great--extremely friendly and attentive wait staff and very helpful front desk staff. The view was phenomenal. The food and drinks were good. The pool was pretty and clean.

The main reason I was not 100% pleased was due to the room itself being run-down and not as clean as I expect a hotel room to be--especially from a hotel that claims to be a 4 star hotel. While I could agree that the shared amenities were of 4 start caliber, I would rate the room itself as a 2 star. It was generally run down. The blinds were kind of broken. A lot of upgrades would be beneficial aesthetically, including fresh paint. Cleanliness wise, I felt fine to sleep there but unfortunately looked forward to leaving. The bathroom always smelled bad (we think it was the pipes?); we had to keep the bathroom door shut with the outdoor window vent open so the smell wouldn't be completely wretched and affect the rest of the room. There were also a decent number of ants in the room. Additionally, while the pool area is gorgeous, I wish there would have been a hot tub to enjoy and exercise area.

The bedrooms need updating, they are very tired. the shower was grubby, dirty and not acceptable for the price we paid. this is definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Tropical paradise surrounded by the most incredible staff

The view was spectacular and the breakfast was great but the absolute best part was the staff! They were beyond wonderful, kind, and generous. From the moment we arrived it felt like paradise. They greated us with drinks and flowers in my room. The receptionist, the bar tenders, the kitchen staff, housing keeping- everyone at this facility was so sweet and wonderful! My husband and I can not wait to return!

Everything was great, the only suggestion would be creating parking lanes for guest by the lower building? But other than that, absolutely no complaints!

Go for the staff and the views. Make sure they give you a room near the reception.

We especially loved the amazing staff and the receptionist, their friendliness and their willingness to go the extra mile made our stay wonderful We loved the view from the pool, Stunning ! And we loved the quality of the food.

The comfort of the beds , the shower that did not work properly, whole in the wall. Shower door did not close well shower almost gave no water. The beds were very basic and uncomfortable and the room was very basic that of a 2 star hotel. We also did not like having to walk so far down to our room. The climb up to the reception was not easy eventough we have been hiking all week.

Superb

Room was spacious and had a lovely sea view. We even saw Toucans from our balcony. Staff was friendly all the time and we received all info via WhatsApp prior to our stay. Also communication was easy and effective through WhatsApp or going to the reception. Breakfast and Dinner was amazing, thanks to the cook and the kitchen! We tried the special dinner and it was the best fish we had.

The steep hill towards the hotel was a bit scary to drive with a rental car. We would have wished to be informed about it.

Ofcourse can’t beat the view and incredible sunset. The food was not cheap but much better then expected and the service of all staff was really top notch. I was a bit worried after reading the comments about the drive up (we had a SUV without 4x4) but it was totally doable and also saw non-SUV vehicles up there (I’m a beginning driver and had no issues granted it was dry season)

The place feels like it was fancy 30/20 years ago, so a slight remodel/revamp would bring it back on par. The pool was a bit smaller then expected but was fine to cool off and enjoy the view.

best view of the sunset

amazing view from the bar/pool area of Uvita and also from our room balcony to see sunset. staff were friendly drinks were reasonable price pool was very good to cool off in breakfast was nice and they made us a takeaway bag as we had an early activity

it got quite busy so finding seating was difficult. the drive up is very steep and parking is limited

Excellent view and sunset dinner/cocktails celebration place! Relaxing environment, nice staff.

The view was the Best ! Great breakfast and dinner and drinks during sunset was very romantic. My gf loved it ! (Me too ! ! )

Maid walked into our room even though we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign.

I think there were bed bugs because I had bites everywhere next morning. they couldn’t be from mosquitos as I was always using Deet when I was outside and the room was always closed

Beautiful views

Not sure if there is any hotel with a better view on the whale tail. Breathtaking views. Romantic restaurant. Nice (infinity) pools and yoga deck with amazing treetop views. Staff very friendly!

The road uphill to the hotel is a bit adventurous, but was also being maintained / updated while we were there.

Beautiful but some problems

The bar, restaurant and infinity pool overlooked a truly spectacular view. it was a wonderful spot to sunbathe and swim while enjoying a drink. staff were helpful to transport me and my case in their buggy down the very steep narrow track to the cabins. Restaurant staff were great as well.

The hotel is very high up a narrow half broken mountain track, hard work even in my 4WD rental. The cabins were down a very steep narrow track and far from restaurant area. To get up there if not driving you had to walk stepping stones on a path, then climb about 100 steps. Coming down after dinner it was dark, rainIng and poorly lit. I slipped and fell, luckily not hurt but no help around if I had been. The stepping stones were lost in pools of mud and water. Next morning I needed to leave early to return rental car in San Isidro & catch a bus but reception staff staff were not answering the phone between 7am and 8..10am to collect me with luggage and provide transport up the very steep hill from cabins. That made me late and I couldn't enjoy a relaxed breakfast. If anyone needed medical help in the night it would be a problem.
