Very comfortable and pleasant.

Food is very good. Planting alongside rooms is beautiful. Rooms are separate villas and are huge. with excellent bathrooms, also huge. Staff are extremely helpful. Good location near to national park. Quiet. Spa will be a great addition when it opens.

New hotel and still a little bit characterless. Needs more warmth and colour although money has been spent on great beds and good sofas. It was cold when we were there and there is no heating although staff quick to provide a spare heater and hot water bottles.

Exceptional

The resort met all my expectations and I was impressed with my stay. The welcoming was superb. I was offered an upgraded superior room which was super clean and specious with great amenities. The food was what i expected and the indian Chef Mr Vinod did a great job in preparing my vegetarian meal. All staff were super friendly and everything was taken care of. I will definitely return to stay at Virunga Inn.

Perfect resort for gorilla trekking

A beautiful resort with excellent location just few minutes away from Gorilla park. I was warmly welcomed by friendly staff up on arrival Mr Bienfeit organized my park activities for gorilla trekking which was amazing. The food was great and i was treated with the authentic and delicious arabic cuisine, thanks to the Chef. Rooms and amenities were top notch. Overall my stay was great and would highly recommend.

Really wonderful staff who went above and beyond during our stay! Shout out to Bienfait for being so helpful in arranging transport, activities and currency exchange. Our room was massive with a super comfy bed!

Superb

We stayed at this hotel, the room was beautiful, clean, luxurious, spacious. Exactly what we were looking for. The staff, especially crystal was amazing. She took care of us so well, and we would definitely be returning to this hotel. Would recommend to all family and friends

A perfect place to stay in Kinigi

The staff in this recently opened property are very attentive and made for a memorable stay. The accommodation, in chalets, is laid out in an idyllic garden with so many flowering plants attended by so many brightly coloured birds, it is so relaxing. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, the beds are the best. We enjoyed our food although more variety in menu would be appreciated. It is handily located for the Volcanoes NP and the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Foundation.

Very good

Large spacious rooms, beautiful gardens. Staff were trying very hard, and were very eager to assist.

Felt very much like a newly opened hotel with some teething problems. The restaurant is in stark contrast to the rest of the grounds - felt like a school dining room, and food needs some work.

Excellent new property!

Nice, new, modern property located very close to Volcanoes National Park. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive (special thanks to Latifa and Jose). Highly recommend this property.

What a beautiful experience!

My partner and I (Swiss and South African) travelled for 2 weeks from Southern Africa and stayed at different places along the way. This one was our last and was by far the best. The facilities are more than adequate. Beautiful and clean... A very great representation of the country. What truly made this experience amazing for us were the people... Mary who works at reception went above and beyond even before we arrived. On our arrival she greeted us and we offered a delicious lunch by another star, Amani. He is the most attentive and presents as someone very well trained for his position. We also had the opportunity to interact with other staff and the director... Every interaction was filled with heart. Special mention to the kitchen staff... Sending compliments to the chef became a standard. Gratitude to all the staff we don't see as guests, who are clearly responsible for the place running so beautifully. It was my birthday and I was surprised with a beautiful performance by a local dance group and a romantic setup for myself and my partner. We mainly stayed here to go gorilla trekking and on both occasions when we returned from our hike, we were treated to foot massages. Our hiking boots were literally taken off our feet and cleaned then later brought to our room. I cannot stress enough the value for money we got from Virunga Inn. In fact, we got way more than we bargained for. The security detailing at the resort is high. On occasion when we walked to our room at night, we met security patrolling the property. This gave us reassurance and we felt very safe the entire stay. This stay felt like a home away from home and we were sad to leave. Thank you so much to the staff at Virunga Inn Spa and Resort. Whoever has done the recruitment didn't miss. We will definitely return but for now, I hope you the person reading this will give this place a try. I assure you, you will not fine disappointed.
