I had a fantastic experience at the Excellent Hotel, where I received excellent customer service from the receptionist to the restaurant staff, room service, and cleanliness. They give me an upgrade on my room. The private driver, Chuck, provided outstanding service during my round trip to Union Station. I will definitely choose to stay there again in the future. New operating system led to 30 minute check in experience. Then I had another guest walk into my room in the middle of the night after they checked her into the same room. She was as started as me when I jumped out of bed. Really embarrassing for both of us.

Lovely hotel in a nice quiet corner of Santa Monica. Easy walking to beach, bike path and downtown. Very friendly service. Highly recommend.

The hotel's bed was extremely comfortable, more so than any I've stayed in for years. I travel frequently. However, there was no refrigerator in the room, rather a fully stocked bar. We don't drink alcohol. This was not very family friendly. The location was perfect to the Santa Monica boardwalk and pier and was very safe to walk around.

Luxury hotel in a great location. Staff was always rushing us when we asked questions and despite several tries to get good concierge advice we could not get the direction we needed.

Comfortable, quiet and clean in an excellent location close to beach, restaurants etc.Good service - housekeeping promptly made up our room one evening after we had mistakenly left our 'privacy' light turned on during the day. Would stay there again.

Paid extra for an ocean view and it was nothing but a street view. Also extra charge for hot tub which was smaller than the tub I own without jets. Isn’t the definition of a hot tub is jets included. Also did not get me food credit wasn’t even informed!!! And there is $55 valet fee which isn’t listed on this site.

I needed a break from work/life, so I took a little solo trip to Santa Monica. This hotel was above and beyond what I expected! Everyone made me feel so special, and the service was impeccable. Not to mention the incredible room with views of the ocean even from the bathroom! This was just what I needed to recharge my batteries! Will recommend to anyone visiting the area :) :) :)

The penthouse bar is amazing! Great drinks, nice wine list, food was great. From 10-2 am they have a DJ.. but it was nothing obnoxious about the music just good fun. The pillows need some updating and I am always a lover of a good ceiling fan … but the shower was great and so was the lil jacuzzi.

It took quite a while to get into our room. THEN when we got to the room - it was a double queen bed room - We had specifically booked a King Bed room. They said that there were no King Bed rooms available even though we booked the room weeks in advance! Terrible!

I usually really like the Huntley Hotel and in the past have reccomended it to others traveling to the area. This time, the AC was not only broken, it was actively blowing out hot air, and management did nothing to communicate that to us ahead of time. They also guaranteed it would be fixed after the first day, but when I got back to my room the following night (late) after a long day of working, it was still blowing hot air. The room was about 82 degrees. I finally begged enough for them to bring me a fan at about 3 AM. It was a miserable experience trying to sleep in a hot room. As much as I loved the Huntley before, I will probably not stay there again unfortunately. The Fairmont next door is a great option for anyone interested!

Went for dinner on a first date at the Penthouse Restaurant and had previously booked a room so I wouldn’t have to drive. Have stayed at the Huntley many times and it never disappoints! From the staff and food to the Turn-down Service; this is a modern day Hotel with long forgotten amenities. And the date went awesome too :)

Liked everything about the property but it needs a way to purchase small convenient items such as snacks and toiletries, if needed.

A lot of unfortunate incidences happened: 1) on one occasion the valet took almost 25 minutes to locate our car and we then were late to our lunch reservation. There was no recourse. Keep in mind you are paying $55 every day 2) the day of check out they said that we would have to wait for a bell-person to be available to help with luggage. This is when you pay a resort fee Overall, not a bang for your buck. There is a Fairmont across the street!

I took a premium room looking at the pictures it shows a hot tub and was sold on that paid a lot to find out that they did not have a room with a hot tub. Just because you're in a higher floor you pay a premium price. We were there for just one night and wanted to relax in a so call hot tub.

We were running late - they worked it out so we could order dinner en route from the amazing Penthouse restaurant and when we got there the food was delivered HOT and so tasty. Simple check in. Valet was great. Room was beautiful. Five stars!! Zero complaints.

Everything was great, we stayed in the 17 floor and the view was amazing. Only issue I had was noise from the 18th floor at 3am and I could not sleep because there was constant foot steps until about 6am

The rooms were so nice. Beds so comfortable. The staff were so efficient and nice. Parking is very expensive but that is LA for you. Really enjoyed our stay.
