The sliding door in the room was behind a curtain and led to a small concrete patio; it had no privacy/chair to sit on--what was the purpose of that at all?
There was no privacy to the bathroom, so if someone was in bed trying to sleep and another guest was using the sink, the light emanated to the bed. There wasn't a glass/cup at the bathroom sink, so we had to get one from the kitchen. Great to have a large counter in the bathroom. The kitchen was designed well; we liked the counter w/the bar stools.
The task lamp on the desk was poorly designed, both from the shape of the lampshade and that it only directed light straight down onto the desk. It was more decorative than functional; I could not adjust it at all.
We came back to our room late in the day (before our second night), we saw that the room had not been refreshed by housekeeping--the bed wasn't made and bath towels were still on the floor. When we went to the front desk to complain, we learned that rooms are only refreshed every other day; we were not so advised when we checked in.
The hotel location was perfect for us and we didn't mind the freeway noise. Curb cuts would have been helpful for us to move our bags from our car to our room.
The breakfast was perfect for the one morning we ate there.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay in Foster City/San Mateo (where I used to live) but may reconsider staying at this property again.

Being able to have family in one space is convenient. The bedroom and loft with two bathrooms and full kitchen was great!

Someone left a pair of socks in our closet, but apart from that the room was clean. Breakfast was advertised to begin at 6:30 but was not served until 7 so we had to miss it. Decent hotel experience other than those issues.

I love how clean and gorgeous my room felt like home away from home everything was spotless and convenient, staffs provided excellent customer service and professionalism. I'll definitely recommend and stay everytime I visit.

Great place to stay. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are well equipped particularly if you want to cook, snack, or just have a coffee or beverage.

It was exactly what I expected,.. convenient, great value, clean and comfortable.

Great place to stay. My only reason for not awarding 5 star on the total was that that the nearby road noise was a bit of a surprise. The unit I was in is very close to a major thoroughfare.
The room was perfect - just what I needed and the staff is awesome. I am staying again in a few days and will see if I can book a unit that is further within the complex. Breakfast (and the staff) were better than expected. Highly recommended overall!

Property is wonderful! Great amenities and a tremendous breakfast. I gave it 3 stars in cleanliness because the rug in the room is filthy. Bring some slippers or socks that you can throw away at the end.

Second time checking in, easy and convenient, plus rapid. Staff is extremely pleasant and professional. We also received early check in, which is always a plus. The breakfast spread has a huge variety, from food, to drinks and loads of condiments. I also enjoyed the fruit basket in lobby.

Very clean and large unit. Has a kitchen, which we didn't use. A large breakfast was also available. Easy access to restaurants, and shopping. I highly recommend the Residence inn for your stay.

The young man that checked us in was a delight. Everything went smoothly. The room was big, clean and comfy. Breakfast was a nice treat in the morning. We will be back

Only downside is when I asked where the bottled water was because it stayed water bottle should be in room I was told by the front that this is not part of the amenities.

Room smelled weird. Pillows low quality and uncomfortable. Dirty fingernail clipping on the sink. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Never again.

Very happy with my stay! Front desk staff was very nice and always greeted me with a smile. A non-working charging lamp was swapped out promptly. Property is directly beside a very loud traffic bridge, but inside the room was very quiet. I was happily surprised. 2-level loft room was spotless top to bottom. Convenient location to shopping and dining.

It was nice. Quiet, easy access, the description say’s restaurant, but it’s more of a self serve cafeteria. The room was very clean, no dirty grout or calking like you see in some places, no smells, overall quite nice for a residents inn. I would rate 8.5 to 9. I would return.

The manager needs to be terminated. Fri, Sat, Sun parties, he doesn't care. My room was dirty and it had spider's in it, went to management, nothing was done.
