Undoubtedly the best location on the waterfront and a very well run hotel to boot.

The V&A is an iconic institution, which has been setting expectations for decades. I was quite disappointed to find that there were "temporary" issues with warm running water. It was reported and unfortunately could not be resolved.When I was checking out I noted this to the staff, who are all wonderfully friendly and exceptionally attentive. They too, were disappointed that I had not had the experience I was expecting from previous visits.As one might expect, this review could have been very negative, but it is positive for a greater reason...Within 2 hours of my checkout, I was contacted by the General Manager, who apologised and and offered a more than amicable resolution. My point is that it is not about what happens when everything is perfect, but what happens when it is not. Many organisations just ignore customer input and discount client opinions in order to continue a charade of toxic service.V&A is different. They gladly accepted responsibility, and stood up to make a difference and institute actions to prevent other guests from experiencing something similar, and it was done with humility and promptness. It's not what you do when you fail, but what actions you take after failing that allows organisations such as this to continue to provide the level of service they do. They don't stop at a point where they believe it's good enough, they constantly strive for excellence.Kudos to the team @ V&A, keep impressing!

The location of the property is fantastic. Its ideally situated on the waterfont. Many great restaurants nearby. The breakfast is very good. Internet is great. Staff was attentive and helpful. There's a mall nearby. The security situation in the area is very safe as well. The only negative thing I have to say was 400 dollars was taken from my room. I should have locked it away in the safe. I didn't. But, one rotten apple won't change my positive view of the hotel. Just be careful with your valuables.

The hotel very kindly upgraded our rooms to Piazza facing rooms. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The bedding was really good quality and exactly what I would have expected. The block out curtains in the room completely blocks out all light when closed and is great if you want to sleep during daylight. The double glazed windows blocks out most sound from the piazza when closed. The aircon in the rooms are very efficient. There were no information booklets or brochures in the room and the minibar was completely empty but that might have been because of a Covid policy. The phone contacts had a list of other guest names which I assumed were the other guests in the hotel. That might be a security issue. The croissants at breakfast were excellent, but the eggs benedict was disappointing. The poached eggs were overcooked and the hollandaise was not good(very sour). The english muffin was not toasted enough. The dish was also cold. All staff members were friendly and helpful.

The hotels location is great . However I found it overpriced. I stayed in the loft which really wasn’t worth the price quoted . The furnishing appeared skimpy for the standard of this hotel . I was surprised that had to also purchase water . Breakfast took too long so had to skip that.

Outstanding service, and excellent attention to the needs of their customers. Can't get a better location, and loved being able to walk to superb dining and entertainment.

My husband and enjoyed an absolutely superb stay this week with the friendliest staff in this beautiful, elegant, yet unpretentious hotel, located in a secure location that made us feel extremely safe walking about. Our accommodations couldn’t have been better — our huge room right on the harbour waterfront with a full view of Table Mountain was breathtaking!! This was a complete 10 star experience, that could not have been improved in any way! We are delighted with our stay at this hotel and look forward to returning! Thanks to all the staff!!

Located in a renovated old building, overlooking the inner harbour and Table mountain and Devils peak in the background as well as the downtown. Safe neighbourhood. Very friendly and accommodating check-in staff, large comfortable room with all amenities.

It was a perfect location especially if you want to shop and get the sight seeing tours and boat tours,]The hotel was lovely but our room was very small and had no place to really sit and look at the views out the window.I would ask to be on the second floor,

I have stayed here before and given it a rave review but alas unable to do so this time. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly so I woke at 3am sweltering. I also didn’t get my free bottle of wine! Other than that, the room was very nice, the bed comfy, the bathroom and toilet clean and spacious. There is a good selection of sockets beside the desk, including an international one. No USB ports. I had dinner in the evening at the restaurant- the view is spectacular and the staff were very hospitable and friendly. I would rate the food as OK. In terms of location, the hotel is superbly situated for the V&A. The building itself has lovely character. The free, on site parking is a massive bonus.
