We stayed two nights during the 2024 New Years Arrived around noon and was checked in right away. The price was reasonable for the holiday season. Location is near the train station, the river and walking distance to attractions. Considering it is an older hotel it shows some wear but the price compensates for it. Breakfast and Dinner Buffet was good and convenient. We used the pool and almost had it to ourselves.It's plenty big to lap swim. Plenty of free bottled water also they brought some fruit to the room with no charge. We had a good veiw of the river and city from our room. Only complaint was the room was a bit to warm, better than to cold. Having visited China over the past ten years I have stayed in quite a few hotels and realize Chinese hotels are not the same as the ones in the US this one comes close to a western hotel. Only disppointment was with Tianjin it self. It's more crowded, the population has increased by 3 million people since my first visit and seemed dirtier than I remember. I would recommend a stay here, but some you can never please.

In Tianjin for business, first time at this hotel.. .Enjoyed the Beer Garden just outside hotel, with good selection of draft and bottled beer, along with BBQ options.Walking distance to river and ferris wheel

This Holiday Inn was recommended to me by a business partner because of its convenient location for a meeting. It is an old and tired hotel covered in a thin layer of grime. The bathroom lighting is so dim I had difficulty shaving. I arrived on a late flight and there was basically nothing to eat by 11pm. The breakfast (which cost an extra $20) was not worth paying for. This hotel should be closed and either demolished or completely refitted. Next time I will stay somewhere less convenient.

Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Large and varied choice at buffet breakfast. Amazing views of the city at night with a must do walk down the side of the river. Bar in lobby with live entertainment Negatives would be ….its a trek to the nearest metro station (a line is under construction). Our room was dirty, and VERY tired. Cigarette burns in furniture and carpets ( in a non smoking room)

The location couldnt be better. And room with the riverview can be highly recommended. But airconditioner was not working and it was too hot inside. Up to 30 roomtemperature affectef sleep. The Restaurant seafood buffet was not good. Food was cold and very limited variety. Fortunately there were plenty of options near by.

Stay was good. Great view and nice staff. Relaxing and services was good except the airconditioning was limited to 26°C which is not so cooling especially during a hot summer time.

When booking our stay I was looking for a hotel that had a good reputation, hotel price was good and had free breakfast in the package. We found this at Holiday Inn Tianjin Riverside. The room was large and very nice. We ate at Cafe Venice for supper the first night and liked the buffet. The breakfast buffet was good, too. If you plan to walk and see the sights of the city there is a lot of walking. We did take the subway but there is no subway stop close to the hotel. Overall a very good hotel! Thank you Holiday Inn!

The breakfast buffet was good, too.If you plan to walk and see the sights of the city there is a lot of walking. We did take the subway but there is no subway stop close to the hotel. Strong smell of tobacco. Even requesting non smoking room, there was a strong smell of tobacco the whole night, coming probably from the air ducts. We barely could sleep there. The hotel is outdated and needs a renovation, but the location is good. A good choice if you don’t mind the smell.

Difficult to be served in any other language than Chinese. Unfortunately not a lot of resource for the guests who would like to book tours in Tianjin or Beijing. The key personnel who was the most helpful was Joe; many thanks to him for his support.

We arrived for 2 nights during a business trip to China. The hotel had some problems with the a/c system which over heat the rooms. They found that my room was 29 degrees Celsius (while outside is less then 8)... Breakfast was good..

Just in front of the Eye Of Tianjin, Next to a Temple and a old style traditional Clothes market. Next to the river perfect to ttake a trip in the boat around Tianjin. Very convenient.

I am really impressed with the size and comfort of the rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. A nice swimming pool and great buffet breakfast. Beautiful views of the river. Would definitely stay here again.

Ideal location, all the sights are within walking distance. Those further away are a short can ride away (less than 15y to most places). The staff is super accommodating; concierge service is the best for organizing dinner reservations, taxis and such for our large group of teachers. I will go back here and only here, again and again!

This hotel is in a great location overlooking the river and very convenient for sightseeing, the staff were very helpful in helping with directions and ideas to what to see and how to get there, it was nice to walk along the river bank both day and night. The hotel is very clean and modern, our room was large with a nice view over the river and city, we were there for 3 days and found the food in the Chinese restaurant very good and not expensive like most hotels. The staff spoke good English and I would definitely stay here again.
