The inn is perfect for beach bums like us! Our room was substandard and lacked any area to hang clothes or wet bathing suits

We enjoyed our time at the Buccaneer Inn but it is a very “no frills” place. They were short staffed so room cleaning was only by request. The room was clean when we arrived but well used. The number on the door was missing, the toilet took 2-3 tries to flush, the tub was clogged and drained slowly during a shower. We loved having an outside room with a view of the beach although no balcony. The in room mini fridge and microwave were great. The bed and pillows were comfy. Ac worked well. We bought a broom for the room because sand got everywhere. The beach was a short walk that involved stairs. The pool was clean and nice but the property could use some sprucing up…was a hole dug and cones near the pool all week, broken glass near stairwells, steps to beach were slick with sand and could use sweeping once a day. There’s no place to rinse your feet coming off the beach. Wish they rented cabanas as we had to cart chairs to the beach each day. There was no restaurant but several were within easy walking distance…less than a block. This beach had sparse seashells and the water is brown/green. Price was fair for what you got.

Quiet, adequate, no frills accommodations right on the beach. Nice board walk for star gazing or watching the waves. Staff pleasant and helpful.

I enjoyed my stay. For an older hotel it is very nice. However outside around the pool and deck area, all I could smell was nasty ash trays. I think if you’re gonna allow smoking then your smoking area should be kelp clean and odor free as much as possible. It was difficult to sit and watch the sun go down and smell the odor. Outside of that everything else was good.

My room was like being in 1985. other than for the small flat screen TV, you could have fooled me. Free coffee and direct beach access were the best things.

Love the Buccaneer Inn...Old fashion but awesome people and so convenient to the island! We just suggest they update by getting lamps that have plugs to attach cords charge cell phones :-)

Very close to shopping and dining. The beach and pool are just a few steps away. They are in process of renovating so can’t wait to see the changes.

Water spigots around property need to be fixed so you can keep sand out of your room

Loved the natual , quiet beauty. Easy access to lots of things from the Inn.

Great location! Very clean old school Florida hotel. It’s not the Westin people but it’s awesome for the price, cleanliness, quiet and beachfront. We will definitely return.

Hotel was clean and staff was very polite and helpful Overall the facilities still need some maintenance but it was all minor issues. There were some stay friendly options that would have been nice such as more towel hanging options and maybe a wet clothes hanging option over tub We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we get back to St. George island Could not have better view and beach access

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I wanted to love it. The location was great and the staff was nice, but there were stains on the sheets and the towel had an actual booger on it.

Beach front. Excellent views. However the outside areas (hallways etc) are funky. Needs a good pressure washing. Made the whole hotel seem dingy and sketchy. The room was clean enough but felt dirty because of how the hotel has been allowed to get funky.

We loved staying here! The room was nice and clean and even had a dining table in it. It's right on the beach and comes with a pool.

The front desk staff were very nice! The inn is on the beach which was very convenient. The bedroom was clean. The bathroom is badly in need of updating and cleaning. It was nice that the parking lot has two ev chargers!!

Right on the beach and walkable to many restaurants, shops and stores. Never got in my vehicle again till time to leave. Very clean and just a really fun place to stay.

We would definitely stay there again.

Easy check-in & very pet-friendly. Rooms were clean. Bathroom was tiny but it is an older motel. Pool was large & clean. Easy access to the beach. Everything is within walking distance. Our only issue was the mattresses were medium to hard so if you need a softer mattress bring a topper with you. All in all it was a great place and we will likely stay again!

This was our 3rd stay at the Buccaneer. They are trying to make some updates: new paint, smart lights in rooms and even key cards now! The rooms are not plush or contemporary, but the ocean views are amazing, it’s just steps from the beach and the location is central and walkable to all restaurants and stores. The pool is a nice amenity. The tv was grainy, channel selection was poor and no option for Netflix. Ice machine was broken. No guest laundry facilities. The manager is very pleasant and was accommodating when we needed to add another night.

Very close stay to the ocean. Restaurants all in walking distance. Will stay again
