I went to the Rainbow towers on the 1st of November, and I found them sold my room

I haven’t stayed there because of my flight problem they sold my room to others

Good location and friendly staff

Shower was mouldy Water was seeping through the shower onto the floor. I had to mop it. The room was not swept. Could see and feel the dirt when I walked without my shoes.

This is not a five star hotel - really very disappointing and not up to international standards!

the room was adequate without being superior

room was not ready on arrival at 2pm breakfast was possibly the worst I have ever encountered - so we did not eat dinner in the hotel hotel credit policy is very unfriendly - everything has to be paid in advance and when you leave and there is a credit they ask you to just leave it. It is unimaginable to go to breakfast as a hotel guest and be asked to pay first.

No hot water throughout our stay, I raised up but found no joy. Very bad customer service, I had to call front Atleast 3times before I could get assisted. other lines like concierge & switchboard would never answer their phones. breakfast & dinner overpriced yet little options to choose from, food definitely not work $30 p/p, it’s actually a rip off. rooms poorly maintained, paint peeling off, our toilet seat was broken, shower had a crack & worse of all shower head has blocked so water wasn’t coming out properly, all this was raised to their attention on the first night & we were told it would be sorted but it was like running from pillar to post. The other day we got back late into the hotel & our room had not been cleaned even though we left “make up my bed” after we left. Terrible, terrible service, we definitely didn’t get value for our money & I would never ever go back to that hotel.

It was satisfactory (fair)

Room was clean, staff very helpful, staff took us to room, was very helpful as had two heavy bags.

You are no longer making the usually Rainbow Omelette with meat beef and other stuffing wrapped inside, I was not very happy, this was my usual breakfast if not buffet, your breakfast buffet nowadays is very very Extremely expensive. No Iron in the room, towels were only two in the room and not enough soap, had to phone reception. I informed hotel Prior to my stay that it was two of us coming, but provision was for one person and not even enough. Instead of shower gel, there was shampoo, was not very nice😞. House keeper came at 8:00 am and ask to clean up, I told her to come at 10:30 after checking out, unfortunately she came again twice thereafter well before 10:30, very disturbing, was not very happy. Anyway it is what it is, not pleased this time. I just have to be honest.

very outdated and a bit on the unkept side but that’s to be expected considering the situation. getting there at night from the South African side was an absolute nightmare of blocked roads, traffic, and insane potholes. would have been nice if staff could warn us that major roads were closed beforehand

Good location and great staff - renovation needed in some areas

Nice location near the city center. Super friendly and supportive staff. The team on the reception as well as the porter made me feel very welcome. Nice big room with very comfortable bed. Very welcoming bar area.

The bathroom requires renovation - not up to 5 star standard. The pool requires renovation - not up to 5 star standard. No safe inside the room.

We had a delightful stay!

The amenities and facilities were clean, well appointed, and stylish, quite a nice ambience. The check-in was fast and efficient. Even when payment was delayed by my overseas bank, the hotel allowed the guests to stay without hustle. I considered this as a hallmark of professionalism and dignity, worthy of a 5-star brand. The breakfast was worth the extra we paid, it was bountiful, with excellent variety, and cooked well, the star of the show with the younger travelers.

The payment could have gone smoother; however the hotel is professional enough to appreciate the complexities and delays that come with using international banks, and it allowed the guests to stay and leave peacefully, even before the payment was finally released some days later. As I said, this is a hallmark of a hotel brand that is both professional and dignified.
