I've walked by this hotel many times during other stays in NOLA and always wanted to stay here. This hotel met and exceeded all of our expectations! Everyone was friendly, accomodating and helpful. The bar was an awesome place to finish our long days of sight-seeing and proximity to all things french quarter made it perfect for our trip. Our room was beautiful and it was kept so perfectly clean during our days out and about. I will never stay at another hotel in NOLA.

It was excellent in all aspects. The ataff was incredibly responsive and a joy to work with. The location is as good as it gets in the quarter. Rooms were beautifully appointed and beds were very comfortable. All in all, a wonderful experience. I want to specifically thank Gwendolyn Doyle for
making our stay so memorable.

The valet service leaves a lot to be desired. Two nights there and average wait time to get the car was 35 minutes.

Their restaurant, Criollo’s donner course was amazing, and their service was great. However, the hotel reception wasn’t very friendly and not helpful. The valet was terrible. I had inside my car soaked and didn’t get any notification.

Our room was lovely, comfortable and quiet. The location was perfect for us -- in the French Quarter but not in the middle of any rowdiness. The hotel staff was top-notch, and there's obviously a pride of place.

Great location! Spectacular building with historical and quality details. The service was attentive and the amendments were numerous. The bedding and linens were lux. Add to that a fun bar and a delicious restaurant and you have the place to be. I would definitely recommend.
Minor mentions were doors that were squeaky and slow in-room food service. Wear walking shoes/sneakers as sidewalks and potholes were abundant.

Most of the employees were very friendly and helpful especially Angelina in the gift shop. Room was very comfortable but a little dated. Would stay there again.

The hotel was good however we did have a couple of issues. Firstly the noise level from outside was loud. I got in touch with Guest Services about 10pm and they did nothing. I also voiced my issue at checkpoint but nothing was done. Also the famous Carousel bar was inaccessible. It was very crowded and despite trying several times we could not get a seat. Anyone coming off the street has the same opportunity to access a seat at the bar and this is not too fair for the paying customers. I thought the onsite amenities were for the paying guests...not so apparently. Pay9ing customers should have some priority when paying for a room over anyone else that walks off the street.

The newly updated rooms are gorgeous but they’re really small. The historic nature of the hotel is the reason we stayed here & will when we come back.

Front desk staff were rude. Doorman were too busy with the young ladies to answer questions. Staying at the hotel but couldn’t get in for breakfast. Bought the hotel package but still had $75 per night of stay, they actually charged that amount to my credit card. Be upfront about that.

My boyfriend and I loved this hotel! Our room was so nice, clean, and comfortable with modern finishes (we booked the updated King room). The staff was very helpful as well and the Carousel bar on the 1st floor is one of a kind!! Would definitely stay here again

The look of the hotel was beyond gorgeous! Old time charm with updated amenities. We loved our stay. This is our new favorite hotel and we will be back.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times before. We were greeted by a wonderful bellman at the front door. Our room was gorgeous and the staff were all fantastic. My only complaint would be the noise level outside, but I also understand it’s the French Quarter. The only other issue is minor. We had a suite with two televisions but the remote for one tv would change both televisions which made it hard for two to watch different channels. We will be back and look forward to our next stay.

We enjoyed the Christmas decor, especially outside. The brunch was very good, but the service was stuffy.
The day time concierge was very knowledgeable, but the evening sub was not as helpful, albeit, tried. The luggage attendants were very prompt and courteous.
My brother and his wife stayed at HM. We have stayed in the past upon their recommendation.
The Carousel bar is very unique, but we were unable to find a spot.
The first night the shower head was terrible and the sink did not drain well. The staff were quick to rectify the problem, so we enjoyed our showers the second day.

Was a quick trip and Hotel Monteleone was selected due to its reputation of impeccable service and convenient location. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Was here for one night on business. Galatoires is very close and outstanding historical spot to have dinner.
Would stay here again.

A wonderful old hotel in a great location in The French Quarter. Rooms are small and a bit dated but comfortable and quiet. The bar is tourist zoo.
