Very comfortable facility in the heart of the historic district of Santa Fe. Good service, good food, good time.

Nice hotel.... furniture a bit outdated. But....over priced. A 12 oz. Can of coke is 4.33 with tax. Need I say more!!

The stay itself was great. Valet was excellent as was front desk service. The room was mediocre. Patio was small and not private with old furniture but the view was beautiful. I don’t think the decor has been updated in decades. The phone didn’t work. Considering the price one would pay just to have a balcony, I think some updating would do. The housekeeping either came so late in the afternoon that we were already about to settle in or so early they woke us. My room was never cleaned while we were there because of this. The pool/hot tub was great. It wasn’t working when we arrived but was fixed so quickly we were able to use the hot tub that evening and the pool the following day. Overall, service from valet and front desk was amazing.
We did order room service one night, it was quick and a decent meal. Just don’t order the chile relleno. It isn’t really a relleno and was very bland.

Eldorado hotel is amazing and very close to the downtown square to walk and enjoy.
The food is absolutely delicious so no need to go elsewhere for meals.

I really enjoyed the heated pool.

Great location second stay at this hotel in 2023. Dining is ok, nothing in the way of casul dining like a burger. TV system is horrible. TV system (Direct TV) will freeze and go off for a couple of seconds and come back on. Annoying.

There was a dog barking near our room. The service in the restaurant area seemed like lack of help.
Front desk was nice, bartender did a nice job, valets were very nice as well.

We could not get the heat to work in the room

Great stay but for the price of room TV did not work due to antenna issues. Very disappointing.

I will say this, when you go somewhere for a quick get away and pay what we paid per night you would think the bar in the hotel would be open past 9pm. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t stay open for your guest. I had to go somewhere else to spend my money.

This was my first time to stay in Santa Fe and decided to splurge on the Eldorado. It was not a good experience. I specifically looked for a room with fireplace, which was pricey. And then no firewood available until Saturday. Hot water was out Saturday until 7:30 PM due to boiler issue and burst pipe. Was going to check out and go somewhere else, but kept being told it would be fixed in a couple hours.
Bar and restaraunt service was fair to bad and the overpriced drinks and food were not a good value.
On check out, the compensation for all the issues was only to deduct "resort fees". This is not a resort outside of an overpriced spa that I did not use. No offer of deducting a night or compensation for free nights on a future stay. Not the clerks fault. This is a management and corporate problem.
For a high end hotel, It would be better to save the money and go elsewhere.

Second stay at this hotel. Hotel was empty. One of the bars was closed most of our stay and the other well we were the only 2 people there. Only complaint is the fireplace in our room which we paid extra for per night. Bellman came up each evening to light the fire - required by hotel - but fire would only last about 5 mins. Our last night there when the same bellman came up he again noticed the wood hadn’t burned. Said they had gotten a load of wood the day before we arrived and it was all wet. He got the fire going and hoped it would do better but again lasted about 5 mins. Certainly not the bellman’s fault but when you pay each for a fireplace in your room it should last for more than 5 minutes.
Overall great stay. The hot tub was nice in the snow and we had it all to our selves. Would return again.

The TV in my room didn't work and the artwork in the hallways on my floor [ 3rd ] have frames that are literally falling apart [ I think I mentioned this in a review year ago ]
The valet guys are top notch

Stay was great. Always a nice property. Heater had an issue the first night, but they sent someone over on Thanksgiving to get it fixed!

Valet was wonderful. Hidden fees I had to pay at the end of my trip was not fun. Looks like the hotel could use a little makeover/update.

Our room was terribly chilly…we advised the front desk who promptly sent a maintenance person to address the problem he advised and apologized for the fact that the heating system had not been turned on. This is located behind a panel in the closet. We waited for approximately an hour and no improvement. We again called the front desk and were informed there was nothing they could do about it since maintenance had left for the day. We endured a long uncomfortable night.

It what it once was. IE they have room service but no menus, like anywhere not even a QR.

Pictures make this place look much better. Everything was closed when we got there. We were only passing through and stayed one night but rooms were very dated and nothing special. We stayed at the sister property on our way back through town, The Loretta Inn and Spa, and felt like it was an upgrade! Eldorado was fine, very friendly staff, but the rooms could use a little update.

Eldorado is NOT a 4-star luxury hotel and I don't understand the glowing reviews. HOTEL: Not particularly friendly or informative receptionists. Boring, dim and dirty lobby (look up at the light fixtures). Bar was never open. Wasted space that could be used for entertainment. Stained carpet throughout hotel. Gift shop was overpowered by jewelry and little in the way of necessities, clothing, etc. No kiosk or shop for water, coffee, tea, soda, smoothie or snacks between 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tiny fitness center. No exercise classes. No sauna. No florist. No courtyard. ROOM: There was no air conditioning in either room that we were given (we had to ask for a fan)! Smoke smell even tho we didn't have or use a fireplace. Peeling wallpaper. Rusted bathroom fixtures. Broken mirror. No way to turn on the shower without getting wet. Scratchy towels and robes. No slippers. Dim constantly flickering LED lighting. Hard pillows. Comforter that sounded like you were wearing a diaper. Old drab furniture. Improperly sized drapes. No in-room mini bar. Unbranded bottles of water. No room information about tv channels, room service, etc. No do not disturb notice. OVERALL: Definitely not an upscale experience especially for the room price and resort fee which we were charged for even tho it rained during our entire stay and the hotel closed the pool!

it was a nice hotel but you could tell they were a little short staff. We enjoyed our visit.

We loved the pool on the roof. Property was very well kept, staff was professional and courteous. Within walking distance of the plaza.

The customer service was exceptional! My plane was delayed, and we couldn’t arrive until the next morning. The Manager agreed to refund the cost of the room that I was unable to use. Then, since the room was sitting empty the next morning we were allowed an early check-in. After a long and aggravating experience with the flight, I cannot express my gratitude enough for the kind and understanding gesture shown by the Manager. This hotel is not corporate America, and it made ALL the difference! Thank you El Dorado!

Stayed here for convenience. Very over priced for outdated hotel. Nothing special about the rooms and we had a "Deluxe King". After taxes the room was $608 a night. That's ridiculous for torn carpet and buzzing loud room refrigerator. View was terrible out the window. Would I stay here again? Probably so for the convenance, just know it's a very old hotel that despartly needs remodelling.

Amazing! Beautiful hotel. The staff was extremely friendly. We will definitely go back.

Transportation to and from the airport was perplexing. You told me the only option was through private taxi, yet when I arrived very late at night there was a shuttle at the airport saying to "local hotels." Why wasn't I given this option rather than the very costly private taxi? Are you getting a cut, or what?
The really bad thing I experienced with you was your handling of my early morning wake-up call: it was not received. Fortunately, my own alarm got me to my 6 am travel to the airport. But this is a serious problem since the person I dealt with told me he'd have another call 10 minutes after the one at 5 am in case I'd missed the 1st one. I never got either.
Otherwise the stay was excellent other than that annoying card under my door every day at 10 am telling me I had to arrange for a time to get my room serviced. I was out late every night at the opera and told your staff I wouldn't be out before 11 or 12. You need to address this problem with staff. We're on holiday, you know.
