Good stay. The building is older but they have updated it the best you can for not starting over. The price is correct for an older building. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

All of the staff was super attentive and pleasantly helpful! We loved the hot tub and the court yard!

It was a single Sunday overnight stay, in the dead of January. In asking to check-in a bit earlier (than 4:00pm) or stay a bit past checkout (11:00am) you would have thought was identical to asking for a feee week of nights. The push back was not to be rivaled. I love this hotel and have stayed here countless time but this one policy OFF SEASON when the hotel has so few guest is particularly Customer Unfriendly.

Spacious clean rooms. Beautiful views. Easy walking distance to bars, restaurants, and shops.

There was hair stuck to the bathroom walls and door. The sheets were spotted with rust or blood - difficult to tell which. I placed a towel over the sheets. I did take pictures for the hotel, but I see no need to post them here.

I was accidentally given the access key to an already occupied hotel room and I walked in on a couple watching tv. I could only apologize to them and wonder how the cardinal sin of hotel management just occurred. Got it fixed with the attendant’s sincere apology and I enjoyed the (correct) room until the toilet continued to leak and refill every 10 minutes that evening while trying to sleep and the king bed frame came apart at one corner (at no fault of mine) and the entire bed collapsed on one corner, which was promptly repaired by maintenance the next morning. However, made for an unbalanced night’s sleep since I was not able to repair this myself even temporarily in the middle of the night. Glad to see a free continental breakfast the first morning that was basically coffee and cinnamon buns, cookies vs real breakfast food, and there was nothing offered the second morning. Not even coffee. Had to purchase. We were not even permitted to pour our own orange juice at the free breakfast bar (first morning) for some reason. I was given 1/4 cup of orange juice by the attendant. Felt like they were penny pinching vs trying to provide good service. Granted, was during the holiday. They shouldn’t advertise breakfast included if they aren’t going to offer it each morning. Misled.

I would stay at this place forever if I could! Every staff member from the front desk, to the wonderful cleaning staff were absolutely the best! It’s the kindness of your people that make your property such a success.

Unfortunately, the A/C system was in the blink; the system was not cooling in room 225. The weather was such that this was not an issue for our 3 night stay, and in fairness, I did not report this issue until we checked out. I'm just glad we were not on that room in August...

The staff were exceptional and very accommodating!

We had a beautiful room overlooking the harbor! Loved the actual wine glasses and coffee cups in the room instead of plastic or styrofoam. My only suggestion would be a coffee station (there is a Keurig in the room) or a voucher for one free coffee to go in dining room…I love to take a coffee when I go on my morning beach walk. This is a minor request though as the coffee in the dining room was good and reasonably priced.

It's off-season, so I understand that. It is a lovely site with a long tradition in that area. However, some work needs to be done in the parking lot: very crowded, little spacing, difficult to exit... That being said, service was outstanding!!

5AM woke up with fire alarm , and waited outside until everything is cleared . NO chance to explore anything. Left 7 AM since I could not got back to sleep again.

Love the location and views from this property! Very clean and open, airy, and modern. We stayed here very off season and still loved the beachy atmosphere!

We were only there for one night, but I would definitely go back for more time!

Upon arrival, automatic front entrance doors were broken and had to be manually pushed or pulled (NOT OPTIMAL WHEN UNLOADING LUGGAGE). Drab facility (interior hallways, carpet, guest rooms, gym), uncomfortable creaking bed, tiny 'closet-like space' with plastic curtain hung as closure, no breakfast buffet as advertised, $5.00 for a cup of mediocre coffee and only an overpriced a la carte option for breakfast. This was not a LUXURY hotel stay. We were so glad to leave and vowed to never return

This property is beachfront and close to everything ! Staff is very friendly when we had an as issue it was fixed immediately. Would definitely stay here again!

The staff was kind and there were many amenities including a sauna, hot tub and pool. There were many more things/experiences but we came during the off season so I don’t know that they were available during the time we were there. The view was nice and they own property both on the ocean side and the sound side and the property is very beautiful with a nice lawn and plants. The only downside is the bed. It’s like sleeping on a wooden board. the aluminum frame had come loose over time and use and so every time we tossed and turned, it was accompanied by the clanging of aluminum. The pillows were comfy and sheets were clean and comforter fluffy, the only problem was the mattress.

Good location on beach with good amenities. Hotel is circa 1960s and rooms refurbished but have some natural beach wear.

Great place to visit

First, upon arrival to the room there was hair all over the pillow cases and on the carpet in the room. The first night needed heat and it did not work. Called for assistance and was told it wouldnt work til 11pm. The bathroom sink was clogged very slow drainage. We did not eat breakfast becaus the grade was a 92.5. Otherwise tried to enjoy our stay. Thank you!

After a long drive in the hot tub and sauna were the perfect way to end the evening. After an early drs appointment I was able to get a work out in and go lay on a hammock and listen to the waves crash. Absolutely beautiful! I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Numerous stays at this property always offer consistent customer service, cleanliness and remarkable grounds. (kuddos to Pep, one of the groundsman who was very polite and shared knowledge about the plantings and obviously took much pride in his work). We will be back!

I'm of two minds about the Blockade Runner Beach Resort. The grounds, main lobby and restaurant area are beautiful. We didn't use the pool but it looked really nice. Also did not use the gym. Every staff member we met was friendly and professional. We had a little trouble with the TV at first but they sent someone up right away and he fixed it. The food was excellent however we ordered fried cauliflower from room service but received fried calamari, which I loved, so no big deal but could have been. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable but the walls in our room were paper thin. We heard every word of conversation from our neighbor guests. My biggest complaint was that they do not provide complimentary coffee to their guests. Even Holiday Inn provides coffee in the lobby. Seems like a small thing but I didn't sleep well and was cranky about having to pay for my coffee. We were otherwise treated really well.

Ian at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Definitely coming back to the Blockade Runner!

Great trip on a beautiful fall weekend. Hotel was clean and amenities and walking distance to dining are great.

Due to a older hotel they have showed up grades over the years , the rooms where nice , the shower pan was a fiberglass insert that was wear from use . But the staff to the cleaners where very friendly and helpful . The parking was a additional fee ? why ? and all the spots in the lot where for a compact car ? we had a good time and would consider going back , the property in the rear really makes it with it .
