The only thing I didn’t like was that the heatpump was less than 10 feet from my bed and every time the compressor came on it would wake us up,(very poor design)

Staff was amazing! Very friendly and welcoming! Room was clean but outdated. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and very hard/firm. Indoor pool area decently clean but water somewhat cold. Not a terrible stay overall and will add this place to our list for future stays. Will be good in summer as great beach access

Liked The convenience of being the same building of the event we were attending. Liked the mini kitchen. It was well equipped. Didn’t like that there was no vent in the bathroom. Needed a light over the dresser mirror and having a small bistro table and two chairs would have been more useful for coffee & a bite of breakfast rather than the desk.

We have been staying here since the mid-90's. The staff is excellent and the location is fantastic. We usually stay a week in June and a week in the winter.

We arrived early but found out that the restaurant and bar was closed for the season- a biggie with us. The pool was closed and the front desk person very rude! Looked nothing like the pictures. Thankfully Expedia did something about it after telling them and they put us into a Hilton which was very nice. I’m happy that Expedia stood up and did us solid. Thank you Expedia

Everything about Ocean Drive Resort was superb. The beds were so comfortable and I wish I knew where their pillows came from because they were perfect. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The pools and hot tubs were well maintained. Everything was clean. Everything. This is the first place I’ve stayed where there was nothing to be concerned about.

The property was much more beautiful than what other reviews stated. I expected the room to loo more dated when in fact the room was actually quite nice with a peaceful oceanview balcony. We are already planning our return!

We enjoyed our stay very much and will plan to come back! The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the ocean views from the balcony were beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the facilities (pools, exercise room, laundry, etc.) were all very nice and kept clean.

Property is convenient to restaurants and bars. Resort fee with no amenities. Housekeeping not available. Limited bed selection due to availability of housekeeping. We requested oceanfront king (and paid for it). Received 2 doubles (and they weren’t even standard size). Bad fit for my 6’5” husband. We arrived Mon-Th, hotel barely had guests so availability should not have been an issue. Will not return to this property.

I’ve been staying at this hotel since 2009; the location is fantastic. Main Street has options for everyone. That being said, I wasn’t very happy with this stay. My room wasn’t the greatest and it could have been cleaner. I had a 6 night stay and after 4 nights, I had to ask for my room to be cleaned.

The room had two double beds. We were told no queens in hotel. Whole hotel had bad smell. Everything dates back to the 80’s. Have a strange policy where if you leave patio door open the air shuts off. Left and went to the Hampton.

The hotel is nice and clean. Staff are very friendly. You pay a decent price to stay and there are not many amenities from the hotel. There was one bar of soap for us. That’s ridiculous. Also one small tube of shampoo. I think the hotel should supply a continental breakfast.

The hotel was clean and had an excellent view and the location was great. The front desk staff was very nice. As far as the room, it was clean, however sheets were worn and rough. One small bar of soap was provided for a room that would sleep four people Cleaning crew knocked on door despite having a do not disturb sign on door. Check out was smooth and easy. The hotel had a very good restaurant. I would stay there again, however would bring extra toiletries.

Microwave and outlet didn't work, refrigerator couldn't be turned down and froze food. Only small older sofa in living area, no side chairs or coffee table, etc. Rooms definitely need refresh.

Great location to the beach. Walkable to nearby shops. A car ride to north mrytle beach restaurants and other sights you nay want to visit while here. Resort needs some updates to their decor. Beds were an 8 out of 10. Bar closed on monday and tuesday out of season. Resort is very busy during the month of october front desk advised. Be certain to call before booking if looking for a quiet vacation. Front desk and house keeping was very pleasant and helpful. Only 1 person left me with a sour opinion. Best wishes to him. I would NEVER talk to a customer as i was spoken to. Left me upset and very shaken that i couldn't sleep that night.

The ocean views were the clear winner of our stay. Even though we paid for a king we got queen beds. We asked to change and we’re basically ignored even though there were vacancies. The mattresses were hard but it was clean.

The safety lock to sliding door to balcony would not lock. You could still pull door open while door is supposedly locked.

The location is wonderful and Resort itself. My rating is based off the fact that we had little to no WiFi in our section. Talked with others who were not pleased with it also. When calling the front desk about WiFi on Monday evening the lady said to call back the next morning because it was probably just a mere reset needed. Called next morning and was told by the man at the front desk that it wasn’t a problem for them that Spectrum was responsible end of story. Our outlet for the toaster didn’t work but that was no big issue.

We got married in 1980, and we have been going there almost every year, sometimes a weekend sometimes a week, but it has never disappointed us its always the best of everything staying there, now here we are in 2023, and we still enjoy going there. I think that speaks for itself, 43 great years and still look forward to going there

We were put in a room that was meant to be an adjoining room. It had a very uncomfortable murphy pushed up against the wall so that we had to climb in and out. There were no nightstands. No place to put a suitcase. Just a tall chest with small tv far from bed. Very noisy plumbing and no hot water first two days. Asked front desk if we could be moved since they had vacancy and he was very rude and said no. Spoke to same person when we checked out and he could care less. Sent an email to the owner of property and no response. Obviously they do not care. Read other reviews that have a low rating. They are true. The high ratings are most likely put out there by the hotel. Find another place to stay.

Nice area. Enjoyed the beach. Dining is limited only bar/pub food available without having to drive 30 miles. We were given no information about the facility or the area. When we asked questions all but one reservation desk employee was short with us. Mary was great. The restaurant on the site was not well staffed and those working were not happy to be there. Room amenities limited, no shampoo etc. no fan in bath and light bulbs out in bathroom. Pools and spas had sand. We we told towels and trash would be done daily by housekeeping but we needed to ask each day.
