We paid for a room with a king size bed… it took forever to check in…. They first gave us a suite normally used for a reception and it only had a sofa double bed! We requested another room and then after a lengthy confirmation at the check in desk the best they could do was a room with 2 double beds! Was I treated this was because I used Hotels.com??? They even called me at 2pm wanting to know what time we were checking in and I took them probably 5pm so they put us down to check in between 5 and 6pm…. Again why??? We had fully paid for our room! Others checked fast….. not us, they seemed to want us to take something other than what we paid for!!!!!!! Very dissatisfied

We had difficulty getting service by the pool and there was trash everywhere and no one working to clean it up. We went down to the bar and couldn’t even get the bartender to service us. It was around 9 pm and it was an older lady, she served others around us but completely ignored us. We then went to the 2nd floor terrace and were met by several roaches that we decided to go back into our room where guess what… we found a roach. For the price we paid we excepted better service and maybe a newer establishment.

The Spring Break trip was highlighted by the cozy, plush room. We enjoyed staying in the room and swimming in the pool. The dinner buffet was exquisite.

It was winter sale fir the room rate so it was a plus i know in the summer time the rate can be iver the top. We were place at their new building but requires quite a bit of walking. Rooms were clean but the aircon was not on when we arrived it took sometime for the room to cool down.

Upon entering the hotel, i was impressed with the openness and decor. My check-in was quick with the staff being efficient and friendly. As Mary Gras was in a couple of weeks, it was nice to see the decorations for this event. Parking was easy as was finding our room. The room was clean and ready for us. My only disappointment was the ice machine on our level was not operational. However, we were given ice when we called the front desk and inquired about the situation. Wish we had more time at this hotel. It is in a great location for getting to our cruise port. Will definitely be booking again.

It was nice and clean but no one told us that at 8 am they where doing a fire alarm test for 15 minutes where worker barge into ur room and the alarm was loud as heck

The only thing the hotel needed was duvet on the bed and plush covers. For this caliber of hotel it needed to have it's A/C controls updated. There were things like that throughout the stay that was disappointing.

Excellent stay. Room was very nice and clean. Ray was absolutely wonderful in helping us with our luggage to getting our car from valet parking. He was wonderful.

The staff here are lovely super nice and helpful. The room was a little run down ketchup on the automan but otherwise quite nice. The little cafe has great pizza but not great eggs. There seems to be a ton to do here during season but we stayed in January so it was nice and quite.

Booked after having a bad experience with our original hotel. Loved the room, was very clean. It could use a bit updating but the cleanliness made up for that. Room service and dining options were pricy and not very good for the price. Would suggest eating off site. Got to experience the ice feature and Christmas lights. That was awesome and the highlight of the trip. Visited the aquarium while there also, excellent experience. Our toddlers loved it, and so did we! Would stay here again.

Exquisite experience at Moody Gardens Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the warm and hospitable staff made us feel at home. The room was spacious, immaculate, and boasted breathtaking views. The amenities were top-notch, especially the tranquil spa and the fantastic dining options. The hotel's proximity to the attractions at Moody Gardens was a huge plus. A truly memorable and relaxing getaway. Can't wait to return!

This was my first stay. Beautiful resort. Everyone friendly and helpful. The only thing was no microwave in room. I would return during the summer to enjoy the outdoor pool

Family visit for the Holiday Season. Front desk had no information regarding the events on premises. Rooms are old and not upgraded nor well maintained. Restaurant had poor service and little selection. Parking lot fills up by event visitors forcing others with reservations to pay for parking garage. Personal experience was very poor due to a/c, fridge not working and staff blamed us which we resolved but caused discomfort. After leaving we learned of bug bites on everyone.

The hotel was a wonderful place to stay. We went for the Festival of Lights in Galveston Tx. I can’t say anything bad about our stay. The service was great and anything we needed they were right there. Room was clean and very inviting. We will definitely stay there again

Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the room stopped working and would only blow hot air. At 2am, we had to open the door to circulate some cool air into the room. It was really uncomfortable and especially challenging for our toddler. Luckily it was just a one night stay to see the holiday lights. We wouldn't do it again.

The hotel smelled like death when we arrived and continued to smell until we left. The restaurant also smelled very bad. My wife is pregnant and already sensitive to smells, so it was very hard on her. There were hairs in our tub also, which was quite disgusting. We were very disappointed in our visit and although we love the activities at moody gardens, next time we will most likely stay somewhere else: which is a shame, because it’s very nice and convenient to stay at Moody Gardens when doing many activities at Moody Gardens.

Stay was great. Loved the ice palace and holiday lights. Only negative is the heights of the beds. Under 5’ tall so very hard to get onto the bed. My son is 5’ 5” and also had a difficult time
