Hotel was clean, neat and smelled good. Loved the hardwood floors. Bed was comfortable. Hotel had been updated. Staff was nice and friendly.

Not great for a family without a car, poor location. Not a great neighbourhood. Have to Uber/Cab anywhere. If you have a car, it's fairly central to Huntington Beach and KnottsBerry Farm. For the price the motel isn't a bad deal, but you do get you what you pay for here.

Other reviews speak of smelly rooms and dirty carpets but we found no smell and newish looking carpet. We were pleased with the accomodations. Looks like the pawn shop next door is no longer in business, so local sketch traffic may be reduced.

Didn't get new towels. The towel had hairs on them. Put them on the ground to get new towels but they just folded them back. Also just folded the wer floor towels and placed on top of the toilet. Very disgusting and unsanitary. The towel wasn't cleaned either, went to go buy my own.

Front desk is unfriendly. Room service will not be done even though requested with the sign. When confronted with front desk, they asked if you want the room to be done, you need to report before you leave the room and tell them how long you will be gone, I think this is inviting privacy.

Staff is always pleasant. Close to freeway. Easy to get to either end of Orange County. Excellent rates for what you get. Requests are always welcomed by staff.

Hotel 39 is ok. Check in takes way too long! Rooms are decent. Liquor store right next door is a plus.

Upon check in was told my credit card was not accepted because it didn't have a chip for the deposit hold ? This has never happened. The attendant said their policy and no exceptions. Why wasn't this on my Itinerary.

My third time staying. For the price, for what it is, it was sufficiently clean and comfortable. Room was big. Coffee in lobby was surprisingly pretty good, also with tea options. I really like the location, the Vietnamese restaurants across the street. The really nice outdoor mall close by. Some places aren't worth staying if they were free. Hotel 39 can be a very decent value.

We were especially worried about the room not being clean, but the room was clean. We enjoyed our stay and it felt safe and convenient. There is plenty of parking space but it is also next to the sidewalk. I also liked that the staff was very nice and efficient, so checking in and out was a breeze.

This property is a dump and very dirty. The staff is by far the most unprofessional and rudest staff I’ve ever dealt with in my life at a hotel or motel. I would highly recommend that you DO NOT stay at this place. They are a scam hotel that will take your money and run and will treat you badly along the way.

The pull out sofa was pulled out like someone had slept on it. The pillow lined up on the floor. The showers had hair on the flooring.

We decided to go early for our trip so we needed ti book another room for the night. This “Hotel” was the closest one to our destination. Was disappointed, this should be listed as a “Motel” cus the pictures really fool you. There was also an odor in the room from the dirty carpet. Will never stay again.

Area was terrible, you can only drive south if you just want to go north! Room was nice, but the bed is way too far from the TV --- a larger TV would be more optimal. And put a printed channel guide in every room please! Also, the big window was a huge shower-type glass that you couldn't see out! Yet when we opened the window, the view was just so picturesque! Replace the window with a regular one --- the view is just phenomenal!
