Very nice and comfortable stay! Has a lot of nice amenities, good food & drinks. Some noise from upstairs rooms (if you’re downstairs), but otherwise very quiet.

Unfortunately the pool and spa were closed during our stay with no advance notice when we booked the room. Beyond that, beware the beds -- we have never strayed in a luxury resort with such soft mattresses, which rendered me with a back in spasms for the next 4 days after we left. It's unconscionable that a "new" mattress that is softer than a sponge cake could be put into a room (#57). If you cherish your back -- enquire about the mattress and check before you unpack. We also hosted a luncheon for 10 people on the Sunday at Layla and was disappointed with the lackluster service -- all this will amount to us staying in other luxury resorts next time we are in wine country.

Overall lovely. Nice setting. Conveniently located to great wineries and the Plaza. Staff very friendly. Room did have ants in an area. Restaurant is so so.

I saw this resort on Instagram, which I decided to go. The entire experience was just fabulous. I was welcomed with sparkling wine and upgrade to the suite with fireplace and back patio. The resort was breathtaking, everything was brand new and clean. Room was super clean and newly renovated with tons of upgrades. Love the option to have outdoor in the front porch or even back patio, also there was couple fire pits by the room which was just perfect. I had dinner and a drink at the bar, which was just an amazing experience with friendly staff. Unfortunately, I didn’t use the spa facilities because I had a short trip, but I plan to visit it again since it was a beautiful stay. I highly recommend this place, and I am looking forward to my next visit.

We had an outstanding stay, the hotel is beautiful design, the location is fantastic, the service is amazing. We ate breakfast at the hotel and it was super yummy. The stuff are very friendly, especially Debra and really helped me to surprised mu husband on his birthday.

Our room was dirty, noisy, and a big disappointment for the price. It’s an old property with thin walls so we were kept awake by street noise and guests in adjacent rooms talking and partying. The room needed maintenance: carpets needed a shampoo, the walls needed paint, and the closet door was binding. We were expecting a luxurious hotel but experienced an old road side motel.

Lovely property. Only complaint was when we went to have brunch we were told they couldn’t accommodate us. This is probably the first property I’ve stayed at where they didn’t hold a little space for guests. Can’t imagine everyone staying there was eating at at same time. Would of loved to know at check in that bfast was popular and we would of reserved right then. Otherwise the experience was lovely and so convenient but not to crazy. We will return.

The property is pet-friendly, but there are no receptacles on-site for disposal of dog/poop bags. I suggest that 2 stations be established: one, just off of the valet parking stand at the entrance into the property, providing poop bags and a trash can; and one somewhere around the perimeter of the property.

We travel to 3 different countries this year. We have stayed on some nice properties. MacArthur Place was quite frankly the best place we have stayed in 10 years. The entire experience was 5 star.

This was an incredible hotel. The property is a collection of ~20 buildings each with a hand full of rooms in it. The property has a pool and multiple areas with fire pits. My wife and I loved the whole experience and felt the room was incredible! We would definitely come back to this hotel in the future for a special occasion.

Overall my stay was really nice, but I was really dissatisfied with the condition of my room. Because of this, I felt I way overpaid and likely wouldn’t come back unless the room was cheaper. The cons: There were dirty handprints on the closet door, black scuff marks on the bathroom walls, the grout was parting from the walls everywhere and I couldn’t fully close the curtains due to the portable AC unit and TV in the way. The pictures didn’t really match what I expected for the Burris room. I thought I’d have a more private outside sitting area, but it was just in the walkway to other units. There also wasn’t a vanity space, which wasn’t that big of a deal in the end. The pros: I’ve never experienced customer service that was this level of kind and thoughtful. If I rated on this alone, I’d give a 20/10. The community areas were nice and I especially loved the cozy fire pits. Even though I felt the condition of the room structure was poor, the amenities in the room were really nice (dyson hair dryers, great toiletries, comfy mattress and lots of free water bottles).
