Our experience was very good, room big and clean. Well furnished. I would only suggest new shower towels as those we had were old and not soft at all.

We stayed at The Sleep Inn on the front and back ends of our two week trip in Costa Rica. This hotel put us within walking distance of a few of the things we wanted to see in San Jose before heading to Monteverde and then Playa del Coco. We visited the Botanical/zoo, the Butterfly Gardens and the Jade Museum as well as walked through the area surrounding the hotel. We had a fantastic meal at Cafe Rojo which is a short distance from the hotel. There are several parks near the hotel and historic buildings that are pleasant to visit and go for a quick walk. The hotel is in the same compound as a Casino (we never visited it) and restaurant/bar. We enjoyed the breakfast provided by the hotel and found all the staff to be friendly, helpful and cheerful.

Do NOT Leave An Open Voucher With The Front Desk When You Check In. At this property ALWAYS pay your room 100% at check in, pay for any incidentals laundry etc. every day. Do NOT Charge Food from the restaurant to your room, they tried to charge me my last trip $1,035.oo Tip on a $20.oo food bill. Pay as you go, they have "issues" here on charges to your room. This trip was a mess again at check out because they left 2 open vouchers (room which I did not request I said charge that 100% at check in) and a $100.oo voucher for laundry, this messed them up...Never again will I leave an open voucher here when I check in. The first room I was assigned I checked everything when I entered and the AC did not work. I had to go down again and ask for a room change. One night they rented a conference room to a "religious group", and you could hear the screaming from that room everywhere in the hallways and loud. Good hotel but could use improvements in the front desk.

Very clean room, bathroom, and common areas. Our first night in Costa Rica, and we found the staff very helpful and friendly, but there was some difficulties with the trsnslation several times. We were able to get our questions and requests satisfied, but we missed a tour, due to an inaccurate translation. Reasonably priced. Convenient to many sights. Breakfast good and included in the price of ou room. Magnolia restaurant was good food and not too pricey. We felt safe as the hotel has security fencing. We only went out during daylight. Although we are always vigilant as tourists in any major city, we did find San Jose safe to walk around in daylight. We were warned, that it's not safe to walk outside after dark. Uber and Didi are inexpensive ways to travel at night.

Had to pay for a guest in my room. I’ve never done that in all my freaking life. Such a scam for money. The staff didn’t understand. And wouldn’t give me a refund. Scandalous. The staff had a room in front of mine and were noisy My hairdryer didn’t work Some of my breakfast was really not good and wasn’t fresh
