The convenience of being close to town. The view of the harbor was also great. The perk of a kitchenette in the room was also handy.

The thermostat in the room needs to be replaced as it wasn't reading properly or controlling correctly. Also the window in the hallway needs the seal replaced, it whistled all night from the wind. Also a larger than preschool toilet would be nice.

The breakfast was okay, it was a granola bar and an apple. So having a few more options like toast would be nice! Overall a lovely time.

The staff when available were all super friendly and helpful. The location while not downtown is fine with a restaurant at the property and also one at the property next door. A nice view of a working harbour.

Unfortunately I must have had some bad timing as when my keys didn't work there was no one at the desk to help me. I had gotten takeaway and had to eat it sitting in the lobby which was uncomfortable. It's a quiet time of year so while I understand the need for minimal staffing I was surprised that no one was at the desk. My other major complaint was the lack of hot water. It was just barely warm. I tried to have a bath in the evening but it was too cold. I thought maybe I just had bad timing and the hot water was running low, but my shower in the morning was also cold. I was going to mention it at the desk when I checked out as perhaps it was a maintenance issue, but again there was no one at the desk.

Dog friendly/very comfortable beds and LOADS of hot water that was a huge relief after having spent the previous night in the DUMP that was Pioneer Inn! we stayed there for a night as, when we tried to book you for Saturday night 3rd December on Booking.com that night was blocked off! only disappointment was the nature of the so-called pub next door to the Inn which only offered Chinese food (a stretch to call it a PUB)! As there was nowhere open to eat we reluctantly went over there and sat in a freezing cold room (the Chinese owners of the “Pub” had instructed the staff to keep the thermostat at almost “OFF” - 6 degrees and when we asked the waitress if we could, at least, have the gas fire on she told us that the fire had been broken for 3 years since before the new Chinese owners took over! What a HORRID experience and so we had a bowl of soup and were so cold that we left!!

Got carried away after I mentioned what we DID like about the property but there, definitely, has to be something done about the ‘only Asian food” PUB! Given that there are so few ‘Eateries’ in Port Hardy (disappointing for such a large town) to have what appears to be the only so-called pub in town only serving Chinese food AND freezing out their customers while doing so is disgusting!

Great location, walking distance to town. Clean.

Clean comfortable and well equipped rooms with nice views.

WiFi was patchy at best, breakfast was only a cereal bar, fruit and yogurt and a boiled egg. If there was more that I missed this was because the staff weren't particularly forthcoming with any information that might be relevant or useful to our stay.

The view from our room was nice. Apples and oranges at breakfast were a nice touch, along with the granola bars but the rest, well, you can see below. Greatly appreciated the early morning shuttle to the ferry making a stop there.

Disappointed in the breakfast - hard boiled eggs, no toast or anything to go with them. Even had to ask for a bowl and 'cutlery' to eat them with. The carpet in our room was filthy and needed to be replaced, not just steam-cleaned.

The breakfast was lame, it was served in the lobby, and the only seating was 2 couches big enough for 2 people each.

Staff was very friendly/helpful. Room was clean. We had a partial view of the water, which was nice. It was quiet. Location of hotel was great--close to town and to the ferry. A takeway, bagged light breakfast (no eating in the lobby!) and coffee was provided to all those catching that very early morning ferry.

We asked to be located near our friends, but ended up on another floor and totally opposite side of the hotel. I get that it is difficult to predict people coming/going and therefore available rooms.

One of the girls at reception was very unfriendly. Brrakfast in a bag was not suitable for human consumption: the egg was green, the cheese missing and therexwas no bred.

The view of the harbour and marina from the room was very nice. The room was very clean, quiet and offered everything we could ask for including good coffee. Overall though, I would definitely recommend this property.

Not sure why many hotels can't offer fresh cream for their coffee instead of whiteners to be honest? Enough money is spent on ensuring good coffee, so it goes to say that offering cream could only enhance that experience. The breakfast was just adequate as a takeaway and could have been better. It would have also been nice to have some more snack options at the hotel since there's not a whole lot else around except the grocery in town.
