First off, after reading all the bad reviews I was a little nervous about staying here, but when I arrived, everything about the staff in the reviews was the total opposite for me,all of the staff was very friendly, helpful, informative, and kind.the reviews said that they don't answer the phone but they answered my call about my TV not working and sent someone right away, and he was even so pleasant, he even told me that if I had any other problems just call him back anytime that was so assuring the staff and especially the front desk staff day and night was so nice and friendly. The arcade staff, the skating staff, the Go-Karts staff, the Waterpark front desk staff....I mean they were all GREAT! CUSTOMER SERVICE GREAT! My room was beautiful next time I'll get a balcony, but overall I loved everything except my bed it was GORGEOUS but not comfortable. And guess what I'm coming back in a month and hopefully I get to stay in the same section but with a balcony, we stayed in the Bourbon section of the hotel......ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!! And I loved that everything was right there in the hotel for my son and my nephew because it made it so much easier for me to keep them entertained because we were there for their spring break, we stayed 5 days and they didn't want to leave so I'm booking again in a month and I'll be bringing my grandkids as well. Again GREAT STAFF!
The walk to the parking garage and the fact that I had to pay to park.I received a code to get free parking because I spent a certain amount at the water park and when I put the code in the parking app didn't expect it instead they charged me a convenient fee of $10 because my parking didn't come off my card.so I was pretty messed up about that. And the fact that I spent over $1,000 there in the arcade and Waterpark alone not including food at the restaurant,I think I should've gotten at least 1 day of free parking.

Room was spacious and clean the hotel didn’t smell of cigarettes like the other hotels in the area and has a waterpark
I didn’t like that we paid for overnight stay just to find out the price and resort fee didn’t include the waterpark check in is after 4 and check out is 11am water park opens 12pm so if we checked in after 4 and it closes at 7 doesn’t leave enough time to explore the actual park also everything was closed in the morning so paying full price for the tickets I think half price is fair but that’s just me nice hotel overall

The check in was quick and easy
How far the parking deck was from the rooms

I loved the rooms and all the activities they have for adults & children.
The parking was pricey, and the restaurants could use just a bit more upgrade.

The arcade and water park.
The room had a tub and sink that drained slowly.

Me and my son was happy with the comfort in the room. My son enjoyed the availability of the recreational activities there. The waterpark was awesome for both me and son.
The check-in line was ridiculous. The staff wasn't answering the front desk phone, had to call five times before someone finally answered. The staff took forever to bring the additional towels and rags.

The water park was great it was the mail purpose of our trip. We got there on a Wednesday the breakfast places weren’t available until Saturday & Sunday so we had to travel outside the hotel however we did enjoyed staying here. It was our second time and we will be back. The kids also enjoyed the arcade, roller skating & mini golf.
There’s not too much option for eating. We got there on a Wednesday a family Of 10 and there was not much places open to eat. We had to go outside of the hotel. We stayed until Saturday, which was the day breakfast was finally offered in the hotel.Maybe more restaurants or kid friendly places to eat. And also places to eat during the week not just on the weekend

The water park
The room smelled old the furniture was wore down n tore up scratches all over the tub had a stain in it and the water took a while to go down while in the shower the door you had to slam hard to shut the light is the room was horrible very dim and the staff was no help they told me when I requested for extra towels i only could get one i will never stay again

It was close to everything
I didn’t read it well but a casino. It was also a cheerleading competition this week so kids everywhere.

Nothing stood out
Water park was extremely crowded. We had to pay extra for everything and it was extremely expensive.

The staff was very polite at check in, they was very overwhelmed with a lot of check ins but they was very nice. The room we stayed in was a nice size but a little old but that didn’t really bother us, the bed and pillows wasn’t as hard as a rock they were actually comfortable. Our room had an amazing view of the beach. The hotel is within walking distance to the Hard Rock where we went to watch a band, the arcade in the lobby is absolutely amazing, we had so much fun in the arcade. The hotel has just about everything you can ask for.
I did not like the fact that there is no microwaves in the room. There was some stains on my bed sheets but we did not use them we just took them off the bed, and there was some stains on the chairs and some sticky stuff on the carpet in my room. Other than that, everything was great.

The water park and arcade is the only good thing at this hotel .
I called the property prior to booking to ask if the water park would be open for the holiday because both sites had different information the nasty front desk attendant said , I told you the water park is closed in Tuesday which in fact it was open and i gave her the date when i asked , I booked 2 beds upon arrival the room was available there was only a king and pull out couch room which i accepted, there wasn’t any bedding for the pull out couch i called the front desk they told me room service would drop the sheets off , what was dropped off was about 10 towels !! I called a half hour later to let them know i never received the sheets in which they told me room service had left for the day i would have to come to the front desk to pick up the sheets . I needed to get ice none of the ice machines were in service , I asked the front desk attendant does she know any floor that has a ice machine she stated i dont you can try a few floors. I said what about the next tower , she stated she didnt know anything about the other tower or what worked . The elevators take a keycard for the higher floors which only one side of the elevators actually work . All and all i wouldn’t stay at this property if it was for free . Just go to the waterpark and arcade and stay somewhere else !!!

The property is very very old and not updated. The bed is well over 20 years old and very dirty sunk in the middle. The property is kept but not so great
The staff were very unprofessional and lacked in sympathy.

The location isn’t too bad there are many food places to choose from and many family activities within the hotel

The room and bathroom was clean and neat. Both beds were comfortable and the casino/hotel had a lot of amenities.

Location and pet friendly
Every thing! Room was dirty from the people before, our keys wouldn’t work, bed was not a queen and mattress was old. We had no towels in the room and couldn’t get any from house keeping or the front desk. We had no toilet paper and again we couldn’t get any. Had to keep going to the lobby for a bathroom.

The waterpark was amazing. Nice place to take kids.
I woke up with bite makes on my body.

Nothing everyone was rude and messed up my reservation
No one knew what they were talking about and kept giving me different answers, then made us wait 45 minutes to check in , eventually they tell us they can't give us a room after paying for it

Only positive thing about the property is the water park
We had 2 pillows on each bed. 1 towel. The fridge in our room smelled of rotten fish

The adult Waterpark pool
The fact that I had to.change rooms 3 times and they made it as if.it was my fault they didn't offer anything first room bathroom smelled of.pu4e urine. Then they switched me to a second room who's heat didn't work and they didn't have the paet needed to fix it then he switched me to the n3xt room right next to that room by that time it was 1am they were supposed to bring us keys to the new room never happened....
They had no control of kidd running all thru the 17th floor knocking on doors and running.
Then due to unforseen circumstancesI had to stay an extra night I still they treated me as if I did something wrong.
Then I had to get passes for the Waterpark I asked about them.Saturdayand was told only could bye them online then Sunday when I added the extra day and I asked about the passes then I was told oh yiu can get them for 29.00 I had been there for 3 days and kept.getting crap service

I mean, I like the decoration and the interior of the hotel, as it suited well with the Mardi Gras theme. I like the statues architecture. The casinos were great and the boardwalk going from Hard Rock Cafe casino to the hotel was convenient.
First of all, I was not fully aware that I have to pay $25 to park at the facility. It should’ve been more clear on the Booking.com hotel page. The receptionist at the lobby gave me the wrong hotel key card, so I had to go up and down 12 floors just to get a new key card and she rudely answered, “ok,ok, mistakes happen, I’ll get you. New one”. She answered very rudely, and I didn’t get a direct apology from her and I should’ve gotten some kind of compensation for her rude behavior. But I didn’t. She needs training, the rest of the staff needs it too. I got lost several times at this hotel there’s no sign, there’s no clear directions on how to get back to my hotel room, especially if you’re coming from the boardwalk the hotel needs to label good directions on how to get back to certain hotel rooms because you can get lost easily here. The room did not justify the cost. There was very few lights. The TV kept moving back and forth with a pulley system that that could hit your head if it if underneath it. They need to check the check-in time at 3 PM instead of 4 PM and the checkout should be 12 PM, compared to other hotels. Overall, I did not like this hotel or my stay. The staff needs to improve on their customer service and behavior. The interior hotel itself needs to improve on how to make the hotel guest bring their luggages to their room and to avoid getting lost.

Location was great for the reason we came to A.C. , staff was friendly at check in and towels were bought up to room promptly after arriving and room had no towels. Ate at Bricker's Burgers for Breakfast twice food was good and came out quickly. On 12/08 pm had a delicious burger at Bricker's Burgers. We enjoyed the indoor raceway and raceway staff gets a thumbs up from me.
Arrived room had no towels, refrigerator froze every drink I put in and was set in middle of temperature range. We got stuck on elevator #5 floor 11 when someone got off for over 5 minutes. It would not move or doors would not open more than 1/4 inch than close again. I finally hit the open button and forced the doors open and we all took another elevator down to lobby floor and told security of issue. Restrooms most of the time was out of soap and towels. Everyone In the restrooms complained of it. Bricker's Burgers on 12/10 am should hire people that don't hate their job, enough said there.

I appreciated the customer service out of everything at the Showboat. Kirstie the front office supervisor is the example of amazing customer service. She assisted with my questions prior to me arriving and it was great to meet her in person once I arrived knowing that she cares to accommodate the patrons of her establishments. Great customer service skills. Best I have seen!
Towels too small.
The tub didn’t drain out the water so as you showered you stood in a tub full of water.

Can't get any answers at the front desk. I had to move from room with my little ones because the toilet didn't work, never asked, or offered to help. No towels place was not clean. Lost my ID and visa card and try to call the front desk and am never able to get anyone to answer the call.

The room I had was recently renovated, so it was really nice. I’m such a clean freak I’m always cleaning my room wherever I stay. I just like it clean. This room was very clean and just right for me and my little dachshund, which I was so happy that they accepted pets. They had designated areas for the pets and everything. They were very pet friendly. I don’t gamble so that is not the reason I chose the Showboat. The water park is the best part. It was a last-minute decision because I wanted to go to Atlantic City because it is 40 minutes from where I live. And around this time it’s very peaceful at the beach, just how I like it. But the most important thing is that they accepted pets. I’m a solo traveler with pet.
The only thing I forgot about, was the distance from my room to the pet designated areas, and having to take the elevator up and down to take my little dachshund dog out to potty. But, he was fine with it I just chalked it up to getting more exercise in. So it was still a positive thing.

The view from the room was nice. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The arm chairs and small table was a nice addition to the room.
We didn’t have a microwave. The rug smelled like it needed to be washed. The sheets weren’t as pristine as they should have been to be honest. There was one person running the front desk even though there was a line of people waiting to check in.

+ Ocean view from our Ocean View King (14th floor, odd number room, southwest facing side of Bourbon tower) was good.
+ Ample floorspace. Had a couch and mini coffee table on one side. Felt more like a mini suite than a room. Really appreciated the extra room to stretch out with a toddler in tow.
+ Arcade instead of a casino on the main floor, so we could be there with the whole family including kiddos under 21.
+ Carpet was not sticky like most budget hotel rooms.
+ Staff was helpful.
+ Allowed late checkout.
- Dirty linens. Comforter had literal footprints on them. Pillowcases and sheets with suspect stains. Request to housekeeping to change stuff out was immediately fulfilled late at night which is nice, but new stuff was barely any better.
- Only one restaurant open on site that closes early. Disappointing. Walking over to Hard Rock next door is possible but inconvenient since these casinos are enormous. Plus can't enter those other properties with folks under 21!
- No microwave.
- Fridge doesn't cool.
- Parking garage is not managed by the property but a third party called AirGarage. And their system is not airtight. Got overcharged for parking. Front desk couldn't do anything. Had to sort it out later via email with AirGarage rep. Did get the refund eventually. But who has time for that nonsense.
- We were still in our room when housekeeping came by and refused to clean with us still in it. That's normal. Said they'd come back later. Never did.
- Housekeeping system and front desk system has rift. Front desk allowed late checkout but housekeeping never found out. Bothered us multiple times to "see if we're leaving".

Just the location
Nothing is good except location. Bad service, no security protocols, no concern towards the guests, no basic amenities . Rooms are horrible.. this property should get less than 1 star.

That I was able to leave
Paid in full. Was celebrating my 26 year Wedding anniversary. Was trying to surprise my wife. Lights didn't work. Air conditioning didn't work in the entire building. Very hot. Checked every floor for the ice machine. Nothing worked. 20-35 people waiting to check in. Some very angry and had complaints. Wanted to check out. Waited 50 minutes on the line to check in. 2 people working the entire front desk.

The room was clean.
There were no large towels in the room when we got there. Parking was way too expensive so we had to move the car and walk far with all our luggage. Only body wash and lotion in the room, No shampoo and conditioner. Refrigerator froze everything.

I liked the staff but rooms need renovation.
No hand soap available.

It was central. Lots of activities. Safe
Kind of dated
Overcrowded at times
Didn’t clean rooms or answer the phone at housekeeping
