Disappointing: bad check in experience, insufficient info provided, heating/air unit trouble

The staff were doing their best, but when we arrived end of day Saturday there was only one person working to check guests in, and we waited an unreasonable time to check in. The one person on (5;30-6:00-ish on 3/9) was patient and doing her best, but more staff should've been available at that time which must be a popular check-in time.

See above regarding check-in. Because of the lack of staff at the check-in desk, we weren't given good direction about using a room key to activate lights - so trying to figure out the lights was an issue. The air conditioning was going full blast so the room was cold. We weren't able to make the unit produce heat. Again - no instructions on how to work the unit. We requested an extra blanket, and the person who delivered the blanket was able to get the heat working, but not without pulling the unit apart, so there was an issue with it.

Someone domestically abused me; I was hired to work here and no one got back. So being physically took away my job.

That is just was renovated. I also worked for the Holiday inn Express and Suites in Carpentaria.

THE ENTIRE STAFF SO UNPROFESSIONAL; except the security guard.

Location and view

Ran out of breakfast food and on Friday night second floor loudness/noise coming through ceiling 3 am - 7:30 am. Couldn’t sleep. The manger did nothing to compensate ….

It was good

Rooms were very spacious and the whole hotel was clean. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable, sheets were comfortable. No complaints with the room at all. Breakfast always also good for a hotel breakfast. Nice location over all. FYI; there is a parking fee that you get charged when checking in.

We were in room 261 which I'd right next to the exit door to the bridge so we kept hearing that door slam shut all late night and early morning which was really disturbing. We wanted to sleep in but when you keep hearing a door slam (and I mean SLAM) it makes it very difficult. You should put a stopper or at least a sign because it stops guest from having a peaceful night and takes away from the stay as a whole.

My stay? In my opinion, it was like staying at a homeless shelter, it was that nasty inside.

It was walking distance close to the Marina

My opinion is as follows: Inside the hallways, the place smells like a backed-up sewer. Like methane gas from a landfill. No joke. My room wasn’t ready when I got there at 4pm, so they gave me a different room. That room was bad. No ventilation, no hot water from the sink, a leaking shower and air conditioner condenser drip all night long. They don’t make up your room the next day unless you ask them to (one of “those” …hotels). The Kurig coffee maker in the room was filthy. This is my third time to this place and each time it gets worse and worse. I’m never staying at this dump again. It’s got this funky smell like mold in the hallways and the rooms. It’s really gone down hill.

I will travel to Ventura JUST TO SLEEP IN THAT COMFORTABLE BED AGAIN!

The location and view was a 10/10! The bed was sooooooo comfortable! The pillows were like sleeping on clouds in heaven!!!!!! The ac was ice cold! Had the best two nights of sleep of my life!

The quietness of the room and the view

The lighting in the room was very bright and uncomfortable The frigerator does not have a freezer for my ice Packs I have to travel with medications and have to keep ice pack frozen at all times to carry in a ice chest. The shower doors didn't want to shut the bathroom door was jammed Hard to open and close.

It was my 60th birthday.

The breakfast was great, the room was very nice. Minutes away from the beach and harbor.

I paid for a room with a balcony and ocean view but didn't get one. The hotel said that Booking.com has the wrong information.

Beautiful spot on the harbor and great location for our Channel Islands trip

Great location-we had an early ferry to the Santa Barbara Islands, so it was a perfect accommodation before and after our day trip. We initially had a view of the parking lot, but upgraded to a beautiful view of the harbor.

It was ok but should have been better. Booking 3rd party is always screwed up

Location was nice

NOT happy I reserved a room with a balcony but booking through a 3rd party (BOOKING.COM) did NOT relay that info to the hotel so we did not get a balcony as that was my purpose for choosing the room. Then the AC wasn’t working and when we asked for help the lady that came to check the AC- she JUST unlocked our door and entered our Pom before we had a chance to answer the door!!😡

Pleasant

The location near the marina was great and relatively short walk to great dining. The breakfast buffet was good.

Television didn’t work and family was unable to use even after they sent a tech to our room twice, and the hotel did nothing to make it up to us. Also the staff was fairly curt with us and the room smelled like feet.

Location is nice and room was clean even though it wasn't what I had booked.

Was charged for a studio room but was placed in a standard room. Was also charged a 100 dollar incident charge then after checkout charged an additional 240 dollars and staff couldn't say why.

Love my visit. If I can, I will be back.

Breakfast is fine, nice addition. I was so impressed by the new annex and my room. I haven't stayed at the Harbor for several years and thoroughly enjoyed the new room. I could only stay overnight because of my schedule, but want to stay more the next time I'm in Ventura.

Location, beach was excellent, very clean, staff (Michelle) was great and very helpful. Kitchen staff on Saturday and Sunday were so helpful and nice.

Ohhhh my new favorite spot! I really love it! The room was perfect. Comfy n cute! Harbor view was Amazing 😍 The staff Miss. Paulina at the front desk was sooooo friendly! She helped us out wit everything. She talked to us and was really attentive ❤️ The breakfast was perfect. The lady who attended breakfast was very nice. They had an omelette wit cheese, turkey sausage, pancakes, English muffins, muffin, toast, cereal, fruit...it was really good! I ate good!😊 Oh and the coffee delicious 😋 Thank u I will be back! PS: I had lot of photos but I don't know how to share them on here lol. Sorry but trust me this is a perfect place to stay...

Not worth the money

The water in the shower was hot

$84 per pet per night? That is grossly over priced and people will pay that because they don't know that they can get a better deal at the Motel 6 down the street. I'm not really sure what the 246 price for the roo. really paid for as there is not really any amenities besides looking at the Harbor filled with boats. There is no hot tub, no pool, The entire hotel was under construction so the elevators were out of order on our end. This made it incredibly inconvenient to go up-and-down the stairs. In addition to already paying $246 for 1 night for a room and an additional $164 for pets I was charged $12 to just park in the hotel that I already paid for. We were traveling with 2 dogs, normally hotels will put you on the 1st floor when you have pets,this one stuck us on the 3rd floor
