It was a safe, clean, good location, friendly staff, and reasonably priced. We vacation in Monterey 2-3 times a year, and if Lone Star is available, we will stay there.

Centrally located for easy access to Carmel by the Sea, Point Lobos State Park, Monterey Aquarium and Cannery Row and Pacific Grove. Very clean & quiet room, comfortable bed and accommodation for our dog. Very good value!

We had a power outage and wanted to stay close to home and the male staff chastised me from the beginning telling me “did you just book your stay out in the parking lot”? Next time come in to book instead of online. I acknowledged and brought his negative attitude to his attention and he calmed down. I got the key to the room and immediately found a bug on one of the beds and my 6 yo daughter found “bugs” in the bathroom. I saw the bugs and they were 3 roaches in the bathroom. We immediately left told the male staff about all the bugs and he threatened not to refund our money. I like to support local businesses but this is one that I can not.

I liked being able to park in front of our room and that there is a charging station on the premises for EV’S. We were an adult group of 4 and we stayed in a newly renovated 2 room/2 queen bed. The only door in the room was on the bathroom. The rooms were very clean and the restroom was very spacious with an aprx 60x32 shower pan and sliding glass door. Staff was pleasant and check in and out was quick!

There is no place to sit but on the beds. There was a small odd shaped table in front of window but only 1 office style chair, so for a group of 4 adults there was really no place to sit and eat. The TV is maybe 32” in the main room only. There is a decent size mini fridge but in runs loudly and at night it is disturbing. There is no place to put your phone or beverage in the 2nd room( this room was just a queen bed and that’s it) This room was also not dark at night because the window faced another building with a flood light that stayed on all night. There was a lot of noise from outside and from connecting rooms and the beds are VERY VERY firm. The ice machine was not working and they do not give water bottles so to use their one cup coffee maker you have to bring your own water unless you want to use the sink water in restroom. Good thing there is a liquor store and Dollar tree across the street.
