Perfect location. Easiest check in-out ever. Very quiet building. Didn’t see another guest. So much food around, easy to walk to trains less than 10 mins. Extremely clean bathroom. Clean bed. Great view

The hotel is located in the perfect location. I Loved the neighborhood a lot. The room is the perfect size and I felt at home. It was very cozy.
You can regulate the temperature of the room yourself
I will definitely book in again when I'll go back to NYC.
I was on the 4th floor but I didn't mind it at all.
Because I read the previous reviews, when I arrived I checked the bedding. I noticed that the bed sheets were stained so I emailed the management straight away and they were super quick at changing them.
When they changed the sheets I realised that they were stained again 😅 I felt bad but I had to tell them again and they were super nice and quick.
The management emailed me and said I could get a late checkout for free to apologize.
Maybe the washing machine wasn't working properly, I don't know, but they were so nice and quick to solve the problem.
I also asked for an extra duvet and that one was very stained and without cover.
The cutlery wasn't very clean but I cleaned myself again before I used it.
The room feels safe but I wish there was a way to lock my valuables while I was out.
There is also no way to lock the door again from the inside completely. There is only a loose lock.
The girl that was changing the sheets was super nice.

Amazing location -- close to restaurants, shops, and not far from the subway. Great value for the price.
Since it was a let-yourself-in type of hotel, there was no lobby or common area. You are basically paying for the room, nothing more.

This property is understaffed, poorly managed and the noise at night is so loud they provide free earplugs. Housekeeping failed to replenish towels and clean room. Chair was broken, remote cover for tv was missing battery cover and water is $1 each plus tax. They charged me to leave my bags and told me that there would be no staff till 10 am to receive them. They said just leave them in the foyer as we have 24 hour surveillance. No thank you. I will not take that chance! General Manager failed to resolve a issue and has failed to return any of my calls or emails. My Birthday weekend at this property was a total failure. Walk to the subway station is about 1/2 mile. I will put my dispute with them with my Amex and get it resolved as they even delivered me somewhere else luggage with my claim ticket for my luggage when I left it at there sister property.

great location in the west village, really affordable for Manhattan, I loved that there was a kitchenette and it seemed like a mini apartment.
shower had mould, not very clean; I understood when I discovered there was only 1 cleaner for the entire property! I felt for her having to clean the many rooms all by herself, however it is not on her, they really need to add another cleaner so they can do a more thorough job. the mattresses are also terrible! do. or stay in Room 16, I had to request to be moved as it was so lumpy and uncomfortable, I could feel the springs coming through and I had a lower back issue, might be ok if you don’t have back issues and don’t mind a lumpy mattress, but the room I was moved to I could tell that that mattress was on its way to becoming lumpy with more guests…they should really invest in proper decent mattresses if they want repeat loyal customers and if they want their customers to be comfortable and have a good nights sleep. other than that, it was great. loved it and if they change the mattresses and update to better ones I’ll sure to be back…I can deal with a slightly dirty shower, but would love it if they would replace the mattresses, I’ll definitely be back if they do that!

The room was great; it had everything that I required for an amazing stay in the city. The location was also fantastic; there were plenty of markets, restaurants, bars and shops around.
While it was great to get room service each day, I sometimes felt like the attendant that cleaned the rooms arrived a bit early. Occasionally, I found that I would skip the room service for the day just to sleep in for an extra hour or two.

Like the location, staying close to where I used to live for many years. The housekeeping staff were lovely. Unit was clean and cozy.
The door to the building wasn’t locked at all the whole day and night I was there, leaving the building to feeling less secure. Paid $30 extra for late checkout but code changed at 11am anyway and had to call in about that when I couldn’t get into my room at 12:40 to retrieve my belongings before checkout. The person who answered wasn’t apologetic about the inconvenience. Towel bar barely hanging on and fell off the wall when I took a towel off to shower, landed on my foot. Ouch. No big deal for me but could be for someone with thin skin.

I loved staying here, I was here 6 nights. My room was very atmospheric, exposed brick, white walls, brown wood floors, lovely. Bed was comfortable, online contact with staff was accommodating, polite and helpful, room was spacious and clean. Shower was good (wait three minutes it's warm). I had a small kitchen, a great TV, a small ledge/table and a chair. Kitchen saved me a ton of money on breakfast. I bought a small French press to make coffee. Area was lively, most nights I slept through, otherwise the earplugs provided blocked out noise from street. Cars, trucks, people walking in streets, having a good time. Location is in a good, safe downtown location, gets less lively as you walk a couple of blocks west.
Only minor things, I really loved staying here. But maybe bedside lamp, so you don't have to get out of bed to turn off light. And also code to front door was sent 10 minutes before checkin, a little close call, if you have scetchy internet connection. And maybe housekeeping felt a little stressful in the mornings, because I had to hurry breakfast some days. Because they started a little early, before 10am. But lovely staff, and good amenities. Refrigerator could get loud, I turned temperature way down at bedtime, and it was quiet.
I would love to stay here again, tried to extend my booking, but they were fully booked.

The room was spacious and convinient. The area is convenient to get by. You can easily walk to west villege or the Soho if you like walking or take the subway.
There is no elevator and you have to carry the luggyage yourself up the stairs. The place is also quite noisy. It is very close to the street and you hear everything, cars striding, people talking and laughing. I fyou like this night scenery outside your window go for it. But if you are looking fofa quiet time ro get some rest before a busy day, it is not for you.

customer service it's awful for those who come from another country. The entrance was empty and no one was around to support you. If you do not have Internet you will risk passing your night on the road. fortunately, I get lucky and found one person with time to help me...

the Hotel is clean and beds are comfortable, really easy to check in and out and good location
we decided to stay at EVH due to the fact it had a small kitchen and we could use that as a way to eat in some mornings to save on breakfast, and even tho there is a small well equipped kitchen, there are no chair or tables on the room, that forced us to eat standing up or in bed (not ideal). it sort of killed the benefit of the kitchen.

The room was very clean and comfortable. There is a kitchenette, hair dryer, AC. The location in the East Village is great.
The parking garage is a half mile away so if you have a lot of luggage it’s a bit of a hike. Booking says check out is at noon but it’s really 11. I booked because of the later checkout and then the cleaning ladies were ringing a doorbell at 11:01. There are rules that you can’t get makeup or “bodily fluids” on the towels or bead sheets or they charge you the whole deposit.

Typical amenities were quite useful for our stay. In particular, I liked the shower temp but the water pressure could be better. I also enjoyed the location of our stay.
Housekeeping services are not available 24/7. Also there is no elevator access ..

First of all, this hotel is basically a series of Airbnb type studio flats located in one building, there is no staff onsite and everything is code-operated - a bit odd at first (especially as I wasn't expecting it) but worked out well in the end. The room was nice enough, good size and comfortable though quite basic. But the best thing about this place is its location, so I guess this is what you are paying for!
The biggest issue for me was the lack of lift - our room was on the second floor so getting bags up was a pain. The whole hotel looked a bit tired and frayed round the edges.
There was a kitchenette - but there was no condiments, no coffee etc which was a bit weird, considering the set up. Bedding had a duvet but no duvet cover, just a couple of bed sheets - not sure why.

Perfect location to walk to restaurants, markets, cafes and bars. I was traveling alone and felt very safe. Bed was comfortable and room had absolutely everything you needed.

very noisy (ac and outside noise) - you better bring ear plugs. those didn’t even do the job for me, I had to bring noise cancelling headphones. the bed is way too soft was well. also every metro station is a minimum of 5‘ away, with 100 degree weather in August it‘s a bit of a pain.
